    The Geely Emgrand is often featured using the range topping Premium trim. Today, we take a look at the mid trim Comfort, and see if its better value than its top of the line counterpart.

    Very good review as always Kyle 😊👍
    I think 1 major problem w Geely Ph is the HUGE price increases 😞
    My wife and I chose the MG 5 Style: much lower price, w sunroof, w Apple Carplay and Android Auto, higher hp and torque.

    • @KyleLiongCars
      @KyleLiongCars  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think it's Geely's fault. Their pricing was perfect until the USD suddenly shot up. That may have placed the Emgrand Comfort in a higher tax bracket.

      Yan din nakita ko choice ko sana ang emgrad nung mas mura pa sya sa mg5 pero nung tumaas presyo nya. Mg5 nalang ako .

    • @Usersf134ssk
      @Usersf134ssk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same situation for me. The MG5 Style has a lot to offer at a lower price. I just hope that I and you as well sir, won't experience the problematic Headlight Unit. I see quite a few having DRL issues. Also planning to get one instead of the Emgrand Comfort. Even the Core Plus of MG 5 is a steal for its price. Waiting until Mid March or Early April when the new batch of MG5 from China comes in (as per MG dealers) But if Geely drops the price of Comfort below 900K, I might take a look at it again.

    • @kotabg1946
      @kotabg1946 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Usersf134ssk Yes, the Core Plus variant is already very good for its price 👍😊
      This is not a dig against the Emgrand, but I really like the higher hp and torque of the MG 5 🙏

      @@KyleLiongCars Kyle, in my opinion, all car brands were affected by the inflation, but as a comparison (as of last year when we acquired the MG vehicle):
      MG Ph retained most prices, and even offered discounts
      Toyota MP only had slight price increases last year.
      Meanwhile, other car brands such as Honda Ph and Geely Ph had HUGE price increases.

    Kyle can you do a gasoline review on which premium gasoline has fewer carbon deposits? I heard techron (chevron/caltex) does the job but shell’s nitro (v-power) is good as well. From what I read kasi these chinese car break down easily if you dont use premium fuel, which China uses for all of their cars. Thanks. Hope to watch it soon on your influential channel.

    I find it funny that this car was set to compete against the Vios but because of its cabin appointments and tech it competes with Camry's, Accords and Mazda 3's. Since the Ciaz is gone I would choose this, my only qualm about it is the low ground clearance compared to its rivals.

      @@KyleLiongCars yeah but its a suv though, im looking at a straight comparison though. Dont get me wrong the Coolray is a great suv(improperly packaged for cargo though)but if you want a sedan that has tech and luxury in the ilk of a Camry then this is your best bet if you dont have Camry money.

    Interesting pricing scheme. Looks like they want you to go for the premium which is okay since its only 54k difference. Do you think that's what they're going for?

    • @KyleLiongCars
      @KyleLiongCars  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think what happened was beyond their control. Before the USD - PHP hike, the Comfort was priced significantly less than the Premium. I think the hike placed the Comfort in a similar tax bracket as the Premium, which closed the gap in price between them.

      engine immobilizer. once open and your not around for a couple of sec it will lock. but from 2nd time open and lock it will not automatic lock. it sense that your near and doing something that's why it does not lock 2nd time around. not like the trunk up to 3x if your around it will automatically open.
