OK, I have good and bad news... Good news is that the system is not broken. The bad news is that the handle (as shown in video snapped off during my ownership) before I part exchanged it with my local Audi. I would advise going to a local Audi dealership and contacting the spares department. It is only a plastic handle that is required so the cost should be very little (i took it apart to see). Once fixed the system will work as expected, and it works really well. Guessing < £100 The car was really good for me, and i'm sure you you will also find it a joy to drive. I now own an RS6 ;-) Good luck Graham
Hi Graham, is the gap between the bumper enough for a Alko hitch? I currently have an A6 SLine Avant and because its very low i seem to catch the jockey wheel, I assume you don't have that problem?
Hi gliffuct, I'm probably not the right person to answer this. I would advise calling your local Audi dealership for guidance. :-) I hope you find the information you need.
Another tip while I am on... Tyres are £85 per corner from Catskill www.camskill.co.uk/m77b1897s4825p122794/Achilles_Tyres_SUV_4x4_Achilles_DesertHawk_UHP_Achilles_Desert_Hawk_UHP_-_255_45_R20_105V_XL_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_F_Wet_Grip%3A_C_NoiseClass%3A_1_Noise%3A_72dB I know it sounds cheap, but the Q5 did drive very well on them with no road noise or vibrations. The grip felt good too.
wow, that's awesome! I wish my 2015 Q5 3.0T S-Line had this feature! The tow hitch is a $1500 install at Audi.

You should remove the panel first then the hitch will swing right down into place and not hit the back of the panel.
that is pretty cool.. doubt I would spend for that, but seems like a great factory option. Vs buying an aftermarket one in the US for under $300.00
We have a 2015 but the plug is stuck under the car. Any ideas how to make it more accessible
Hi. I want to ask how can i find this type of " black heat" that you put to tow bar?? I relly like it. I can put it to look better
Incredibly small world: I now own this very car! Tow bar is stuck out, unfortunately. Did you have any problems with it under your ownership?
does anyone know the fix for this? my 07-q7 is stuck
Is this on all Audi’s after 2008?

do all q5 come with this hitch
I guess not but where can i install that??
That's why it costs so much ..... In Australia quoted $3,000 - $4,000 whilst a hayman Reece - $500. Still, looks worth it...
Anyone know the weight capacity?
750kg with 100kg push down on it

Thx
if you think that is cool, have a look att bmw electric tow bar 😎
Eewhaaaat, that is a huge cutout, with a dump panel. Ugly. It should be completely hidden
Way too complicated, I might damage my polished nails!
