- This is a timelapse / breakdown of a scene I made in Blender based on the amazing anime movie Suzume. This render is more of a realistic interpretation of the style of this resort scene, but I hope to have captured the mood and atmosphere of Suzume without necessarily using an anime cell shader for it.

Thanks man! The issue is that substance painter and quixel were both fairly important for keeping this project in a reasonable time constrait, so via blender only could be done but wouldn't be nearly as viable. I would love to help if you have any specific questions, but making a step by step tutorial at a beginner level takes a lot of work to put together, and I just don't see another video on this topic getting that many views to be honest. I'll try and work in more step by step stuff in future videos though! I usually do more tutorial style videos anyways, rather than these timelapse ones.

Thanks very much! It took around 10-12 hours total from start to finish working on this one- its largely dependent on which stuff I decide to make custom (like the door and the buildings) as they tend to take up a bit of time
