F99 is a great keyboard and sounds great stock. Can easily be modified BUT something to note is that if you are attempting to put Gateron or realistically and MX style switches, it doesn't like to snap into place very easily. It seems that the Epomaker switches fit it perfectly for some reason. If you are looking to mod it, to pry it apart just takes a pry tool all around the case and can easily damage it if it is a metal or otherwise hard tool. Basically, if you want to do more than just swap out the switches or keycaps, there are other better options but this one isn't awful. Can't speak on longevity yet as I only recently modified one.
I ordered one of these for work (thanks work for paying lol). They accidentally sent me the F99 pro. No complaints there though. Holy shite, I am blown away with how good this keyboard is stock. Suuuper thocky, solid, heavy, durable build quality, banger for the money.
You posted this as I had the Gateron switch in my Amazon cart and this convinced me to switch to the Reaper. Thanks for the great and perfectly-timed review!
Hey @jldwg, I'm planning to buy the Pro version, how was the shine through keys? Is the lighting bright enough? I'd be using it in a not so well-lit area
Love my F99, although it's not really mine, had my boss buy it for me for work. (Graywood v3 switches) After having a nob on my main keybaord, I actually consider it a Pro not having it, but that is mainly because the nob does nothing but take up space for me, as I use a USB DAC and adjusting the Windows volume does nothing.
Aula f99 pro seems to have a knob, but I could only find a few sellers on aliexpress who had it and I don't believe out when I bought my f99. I got the black/green version with SWK blue whale switches. Sound amazing, switches have little wobble compared to akko milky yellow and greywood v4. Switches have a strong spring, nice for typing I guess but less so for gaming if you need to keep pushing down a button, so right now I prefer akko cream yellow for gaming a bit more. No scratch as far as I can tell. Got it with coupons on alie. I like thocky switches and play some shooters, any recommendations?
No difference between Pro and Non Pro, those legends on the bottom I've seen complain about not being too bright. I found most people I ask don't like the 0 key on the numpad on these, they cringe just looking at them. Thoughts on the foam thickness inside of it? KeyC found on the F87 Pro that the silicone and foam layer above it was a lot thinner vs the F75. What other differences in feeling is there of the F99 vs Bridge75?
What would be a good option similar to the Bridge75 but with a numbpad (prefer 100%)? Can be more expensive than 99$. New to the world of keyboards and looking for a silent one, preferably without having to modify it myself. Mainly use it for work and simple gaming.
I switched to bluetooth mode, when I came back to wired mode, the keys are no longer working. There are still lights when I hit the button though. I tried the restore to default FN + ESC, FN+4 but still not working. Anyone knows how to fix this?
Moano 200 vs 400 what the main difference in terms of sound quality . I want it for story telling and casual singing . A dynamic mic with audio technica x40 headphone to edit like pro . Is there anu huge difference? I dnt have budget issue but i dnt want to waste money for minor differences..
I love it I need my numbpad so keyboards withuot them don't cut it for me. Especially since most seperate numpads are as much if not more than a keyboard this was a no brainer. Love the sound and feel of typing on it replaced my Corsair Strafe keyboard immediatly.

I don't know why you called your channel SemiPro because you definitely speak like a professional.

Ashwood V4 available?
I don’t know much about keyboards and this helped a lot. Great vid!
You’re correct, the Pro version has south facing LEDs & shine through keys. I purchased both to test out. 👌🏽

@@kraxplaysanything3225 Yes, the lighting & keyboard is good for the price. Though I ended up returning it and went with a custom Keydous NJ98.
This was a GREAT review! It helped me a lot ! Thank you !

Do you have better 1800 layout options or alternatives for the aula f99?

have you know of any low profile ISO keyboards? ive been looking, its its not a lot. I emailed Nuphy, and they didnt seem to have plans.
What are the limitations of customising FN1 and FN2 layers?
whoa, apple beta sequoia shows my Nuphy Air 2's battery % (in BT). My win machine doesnt show it. is this new to V2 and Mac OS or?
How would you stack it against the RK S98?
Polling rate for wired & 2.4 is 1000hz
Do the north facing LEDs interfere with Cherry caps? I just bought one and I’m concerned about getting Cherry caps now
It doesn't. At least not with the stock switches
