- Welcome back, a short and sweet video here on how we clad the unseen sides of our Garden Rooms and how to do it!!
Hope it helps and any questions, please drop them in the comments box below.
Thanks for watching and see you on the next one.
Great video, very clear. Thank you for putting together!!!
Some questions. Should there not be more room at the top of the wall cladding to allow proper circulation of air behind the panels? Also, what steps did you take to prevent insects or vermin getting behind the wall panels from ground level? Should you not apply butyl rubber sealing tape to all sheet-to-sheet and sheet-to-trim joints to prevent water ingress by capillary action?
What size are the sheets are they 32/1000 Box Profile 0.5 Thick Polyester Paint Coated Roof Sheet
Question about the finish of the bottom part, should there be something closing panel for the raised bits of sheet? I am just thinking that if I will not block this all that wall will become a mouse/rat nest with such an easy access?
On The corner flashing piece, one side got screwed into the extra batton you had put on , but the other side I didn’t see very well did that get screwed into the raised box profile part of the sheet? If that makes sense sorry and thanks for the great video
That’s right mate 👍 You can fix into anywhere in the sheets, there’s no right or wrong way really it’s just what you have to work with when you get the the end of the wall when installing the sheets 👍
Do these count as 'non combustible' for the permitted development?
Yes they do 👍
Hi what is the finish on the metal cladding thanks
Are the panels from Cladco? Also is the colour Anthracite 7016?
That’s the ones. I actually get them from roofline high Wycombe but if you’re not in this area then cladco is your best bet. And yes 7016 👍
@@creategardenrooms thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
Can I ask do they have the drip stop on the back or do you consider this not required- I would like to use but worried about condensation, also how to stop vermin rats/bees etc going inside the corrugated sheets at the bottom as foam filler wouldn’t work against them
No drip stop as they get trimmed down. Rodents will get anywhere if they want to, there is no stopping them. Best to lay poison down or traps. Concrete base is important as they can’t get through concrete and eat the floor insulation.
@@creategardenrooms would you advocate a mesh barrier? I’m trying to find a barrier for the steel box cladding but there is nothing I can find.
Also- your channel is great fella. Really inspiring and pushed me into building my own!
how do you fit these when your walls are dead close to a boundary wall or other garden wall?
I'm building mine completely cladded before fixing it in place.
How are you going to attach the corners
