I know Naomi was inconsistent at times, but it really is a beautiful power game when she swings freely. In time I'd love to see her fully dialed in. She is so fantastic 🎉

Did she look "really good?" Didn't watch the match. Just these reviews. But she committed 38 unforced errors, more than her winners, and only got 47% of her first serves in. I wouldn't call that a "really good" match from her end. More like she was lucky to survive and advance.
She literally survived the first round. Thanks to Parry's choked double fault to hand Osaka the match. I doubt she herself would say she had a good match.
Naomi Osaka really keeps reviving her alignment and adaptability on the grass surface as well as hard and clay surfaces. She inspires with her versatility and traits. I am certain that she will be more consistent with the time.

Better on forehand and backhand... Would be better for her to start involving drop shorts and coming to the net. That's what top grass court players use
That's a tough draw for Parry to have to Osaka in the first round. Parry needs to stop with her slicing and use her backhand as a weapon like Fed and Stan. She reminds me of Steffi and Sabatini who relied heavily on the slice backhand which was fine for that periods woman's game but now the woman are way stronger and can hit winners from all sides. Parry needs to hit her backhand like a weapon. It's to defensive at this point.
the editing and cutting of these highlights are not only so BAD AND UNPROFESIONAL, but totally disrespectful to the players and viewrs. Give the job to someone that knows how to DO IT.
I find it weird that players lose their way completely in a middle set to then re-establish their dominance in the following set. It happens often in the women's,...well done Naomi.
I play a set against my imaginary friend Bob to practice my serve. Here are the rules: any first or second serve that goes in wins the point (Bob cannot return because he does not exist), but any double fault losses the game to Bob (no matter the game score). Most double faults occur at 40:Love when the pressure is on, but I normally win the set. Parry had 10 double faults in the last set, she would have lost very badly against Bob (who doesn’t even exist).
i didn't see the match but just glancing on the 1st set stat - 55% 1st serve?! that's horrible. Highlights are misleading as it normally shows the "clean" points... the way Osaka was swinging, I'd wager it was more like a hit and miss type of game from her. That's the reason why I only watch highlights for women's tennis, never a full match.
