Mae Ploy Thai curry pastes are the best& taste like restaurant curry!! I just made amazing red pumpkin chicken curry last night (didn't can it though). Soon I will adapt the raw pack method from my Ball book. I'll add veg and chicken to the jars. Then instead of adding seasonings to each jar, I'm going to premix the curry paste ginger, garlic, sugar, chicken soup base with water, then it'll be curry broth added to the jar. (I tend to get carried away with the spicy paste so this way I'll be able to taste & adjust broth before adding to my qt jars.)
Great video. I love a good thai red curry, so I'm glad I found that I can do this in my pressure canner. One suggestion would be to add in a couple minutes at the end of you actually serving it up (ie taking it out of the jar and adding what you need to then eat it). Would love to see more curry recipes! :-)
I do that in a separate vid, since this is my real life and cannot afford to prepare something we aren’t eating right warst and when I can these, I do it for food storage.
Do you have a link to that video? I've looked through the list of videos and couldn't find it (although I found a bunch I'm going to watch later though! 😉)
I make casserole with chicken, broccoli, cheese and curry that is so good. I think this would help to cut down on the prep time and the chicken would have a good curry flavor. Thanks for the great idea.
Hi! Came over from Greg’s kitchen to see you because I’m also in the casserole collab for March. Wow! We love chicken curry!! The thighs are the best! I feel so dumb but I had no idea you could can it! New Friend ❤️
How did you know I was just thinking about canning up some curry this morning? Thai curry isn’t my favorite but it’s better than no curry lol. I’m a newb at canning, but I’m expert with curries. When you open the jars, I’d set aside a bit of the room temp liquid and mix it with corn starch to thicken up the sauce if needed.
Never ate curry anything. So, I looked in the Ball Book and I think I will be like Jeni and buy the premade stuff. lol Thanks, Jeni for sharing this recipe!
I need to try curry chicken.. Jeni, I have several pint and a half jars, all are wide mouth. What brand are they and where did you get them, please..have a great day..thank you
@@Jeni_Gough I have tried to find this size jar but haven't had any luck. Google didn't find them for me. Would you share where you got them? Thanks so much. I love, love, the canning videos.
@@veeeschenk thank you! I got lucky finding these . I found new cases of them for 2.88 at Goodwill 9 years ago. Haven’t seen then since. It hunk these were made for a company. They were unopened cases of 12. 😊
I have not canned Indian curry. Thai yellow curry is one of my go to comfort foods! I have not had curried cauliflower but it sounds delicious! I like curried anything! I even make curried deviled eggs! 😊
@@kathycole9443 yep! I shop our Asian markets too! We actually have a lot nearby. My restaurant supply store just has the big one in the brand I like. 😊
@@Jeni_Gough I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, which makes it convenient to shop for most ethnic foods. Fortunately we are not picky eaters and love trying new foods. My daughter makes chicken curry. I'm new to canning and only have a water bath canner. Eventually I'll get a pressure canner. It would be nice to have canned chicken curry on hand.

So cool! Thanks for coming over and welcome!! I’m excited about the casserole Collab! 😊 I will go over to your channel as well!
I wish you would show how you make your own curry paste?
I will do a separate video on that in the next month. 😊
love curry chicken never used paste , where do you get it?
I have a link in the description box! 😊 I get mine (same brand) from a restaurant supply store.

I did some of the curry chicken yesterday. Looking forward to trying a jar. How much coconut milk do you add?
Awesome! I would add 1/2 cup to a cup. Try half first and add more if you need too. 😀
Hi Jeni!
Hi! 😊
Wow. Thank you ... like and subcribe. Hi sis, i have a question. I have electrical presure cooker and wonder if i can use this also?
Hi there! 😊 To be safe, it needs to be canned in pressure canner, not cooker. Sorry.
Never ate curry anything. So, I looked in the Ball Book and I think I will be like Jeni and buy the premade stuff. lol Thanks, Jeni for sharing this recipe!
Yw! 😊
I want to come hang out at your house and work on all the fun projects you have going. LOL
😃 It’s busy around here for sure!!
Hello, I bet that did smell amazing! Instead of paste could curry spice be used?
Absolutely! 😊
@@Jeni_Gough thank you!!

Yw! My jars? They are Mason and I got cases of them from Goodwill 6 years ago. 😊.
@@Jeni_Gough I love that size of jar.
Looking forward to making this but I didn’t hear how much of each ingredients you used.
Can you tell me the measured amounts?
@Jeni. This looks so good. What curry are you using where you can dip it out. Also can't wait to learn how to make curry homemade. 😋
I put a link in for the comer commercial curry paste I use. But I will do a video on homemade curry in the next month. 😊
This looks fantastic! Thanks for the Vid. What jars are you using? Small mouth pint and half would be perfect. TIA
Thanks! These are small mouth pint and a half Mason jars. 😊

Must try this. Where did you find the pint and half jars? I need some. Thanks Jeni!
I found them at Goodwill. New, unopened cases of them. I paid 2.99 for each case of 12. 8 years ago. It was a lucky find! 😊
@@Jeni_Gough oh me gosh you were a lucky lady! That was an awesome find!
May I ask why you aren't adding coconut milk to the mixture, since it's not dairy? Thank you!
I’m not sure it’s completely safe to can and I can just as easily add it when I heat it up since it’s an item I regularly stock. 😊
You are using Thai curry paste. Do you also can Indian curry? We also love different kinds of curry. Have you tried Aloo Gobi (curried cauliflower)?
I have not canned Indian curry. Thai yellow curry is one of my go to comfort foods! I have not had curried cauliflower but it sounds delicious! I like curried anything! I even make curried deviled eggs! 😊
Could i use red curry paste too
You can use whatever kind you like. 😊
Can you use red curry paste instead of yellow?
Absolutely! 😊
Where do you find curry paste? This looks delicious & I like my carrots a little firm as well. Love your videos💕
Thank you! I got a large container of curry paste from the restaurant depot but I put a link in for the same one through Amazon. 😊
If you have Asian grocery stores close by they carry different types of curry. Also most large grocery stores carry Asian foods.

I love curry❤️ but my family hates it. Chicken curry with potatoes, carrots, onions, and green bell peppers. 👍🏻🥰🥰🥰
That sounds amazing! Maybe do in jelly jars for yourself?
Hello and so any chicken left? How are you and family?
Chicken is done! We’re are all well, thank you 😊 I hope you are well.
Do you have a preferred recipe for curry paste ?
I do. I will do a vid on making it homemade! 😊
What is Curie paste
Curry seasoning in a paste, ready to go! 🙂
In Indian restaurant they ask you what level of heat you would like. What level do you think your recipe is? How would you make it hotter?
It’s mild. I’m the only one that eats heat here, so I keep it mild. 😊 But you can add more heat if you like.
Is there a printed recipe somewhere for this
It’s just store bought curry paste, no recipe needed.
Is this a hot curry?
no
Good evening
Guten Abend!
Good choice on the thighs. Breast isn’t as flavorful especially in curry
