Just started on a 18' Grady White (1977) - new to me. Have the soggy transom torn out and ready to go back. Hopefully this week and weekend. Motor is a Johnson 85hp that runs but will get new coils, harness, rectifier.... Lower unit already done with WP and seal. Spring is coming.
Good luck with your project! I pulled a couple of Thru Hull fittings yesterday and found they had very little caulking and were leaking. Did you know that GW has wood in the core between the inner and outer shell on the sides if the hull? I did not and found out yesterday and have discovered some rot in there!
Yeah, finding a few design ideas that are questionable but is a 47 year old boat that still or will float. I'm in Ohio and boat on Lake Erie@@MarkAllardyce
