You can sneak under the house and use a trap door/shinobi door to go inside. Or you can swim in the river near the house and try to grapple unto the upper floor (you can give the guy inside "water of the palace" for 5 carp scales). And don't forget the "hidden" prayer bead underwater, in the lake in mibu village.
In the mid-late game, after you get the Mibu breathing technique that lets you breathe underwater and dive, you can find a prayer bead in the pond in Senpou temple, near the Temple grounds idol, where the two treasure carps are swimming. Just dive down and the prayer bead is on the hands of a sunken statue of Buddha.
The Mibu village is a good farm spot too later in the game and you don't have to rest in the idol for them to respawn the villagers are just weak yet they constantly respawn and drop around 98 gold
Sabimaru is my favorite tool in the game, super versatile because you can chain it with your regular sword swipes. Basically gives you a whole new set of combos.
BDB96 I somehow two shot that boss using the iron umbrella. I don’t know if it’s intended or not but parrying him with the iron umbrella fills his posture bar up by like 80% at a time. >_>
Best farming I’ve found for both Xp and sen, Early game: Hirata Estate audience chamber idol. Kill the three enemies in the building then pop a balloon of wealth. Clear out the enemies from the entrance to the lone archer down the way. Repeat. Mid game: gun fort idol, run and stealth kill the canon enemy for ~ 300 xp and 50 sen. repeat. End game: Ashina Castle Antechamber idol, go around the breakable wall and stealth kill blue enemy followed by stealth killing the purple dude, either repeat from there or drop down and stealth kill one red dude and fight the other, then stealth kill the other red dude down the stairs, after that run and trigger the fight between the spear npc and the red dude on the left, then grapple up twice to the right onto the roof and run to the edge to trigger another red dude, wait a second and then jump while targeted on him to get a stealth kill then run back to where you triggered the fight, should be able to stealth kill yet another red dude, and then finally go through the gate near the idol and jump and grapple to the right, walk up and death blow the final red dude, homeward idol back home and rinse and repeat. With this method I was getting about a skill point every ten minutes and a lot of sen. I wish everyone luck in this masterpiece of a game.
Hooflip a better end game farming spot is, Sanctuary idol, kill the ball guy, and then move up and kill the glave lord and then the sword guy, repeat. I recommend piercing sabimaru though. Just poison and then R1 spam them.
Best I've done so far is right after general on horse. Kill archer, stealth kill rat beside tree, climb wall and use sharukin on dogs, kill 3 guys, kill archer, stealth kill sumo, then run back to the idol. Takes 1 minute and is a good fairly early spot, usually keeps dropping a possession balloon, even better when using the demon bell, lots of iron drops. Fast level up
Hell yeah I have to agree with Francis tho sanctuary is without a doubt the best farming spot in the game for xp and sen and also for replenishing your resurrections if you’re having a hard time with a boss. The ball dude gives like 3/4 of a node back. I hadn’t gotten to this point in the game when I commented. It’s gotta be the most stunning area tho, I mean all of them are tho, there’s not a single area that I’m not looking forward to playing again.
I was legit attacking that secret wall you first showed thinking it was a littly fishy, but i figured "hey, i guess nothings there". I didnt know that there was another mechanic for secret walls in this game.
I feel that the best place to farm for money and exp in the early of the game is at Hirata Audience Chamber sculptor where you just ran straight to 2 enemies at the corridor and the previous mobs with Juzo, 2 shield guy, 2 torch guy, 1 gunmen and 1 samurai. You can clear them all in less than a minute then you run back to the sculptor rest. Rinse and repeat.
Hi Jorapter! :-) At long last we have a second game in common along with Horizon! The letter from Issin says he's gone to deal with the Rats. It is to let the player know that the guy you meat in the Tengu mask by the place you fought the horse guy is Lord Issin Ashina. Later in the game after Genichiro (bow guy) boss fight at the top of the castle, you can go and meet Issin in the same place you found the letter. He calls you Sekiro like he did when he asked you to kill the Rats. On the wall in the room, you can see the Tengu outfit he wears. That's what I think, my interpretation anyway, I could be wrong
It’s also revealed in a conversation with him that he was the Tengu of Ashina. Wolf briefly says “you’re...” when he called him “Sekiro” Implying that Wolf realized Isshin Ashina is the Tengu.
Di Immortal_V4 it’s not on the wall, it’s behind the paper wall that’s right behind Isshin, on the floor. If you break the wall it will probably cover it tho. So if you want to see it you just peer over it since we’re in 3rd person
For the general mini boss you can take out all of the gun guys with shurikens from the roof tops. Each takes two to kill and don’t get aggrod, then drop behind the general for your free backstab
To easily kill the blazing bull, just use the matador technique. Let it charge to you with that upper head movement, and parry that. Hit 3 or so times, then run away. Rinse and repeat until his posture breaks. Don't worry about anything else.
There actually is a quicker farm in mid game. Go to the gun fort idol in sunken valley and backtrack slightly, you will see an enemy that you can backstab. Very, very close to idol and very quick. You get a very good amount of stuff, about 300 exp and 50 sen. do this for 30 min and you have 10000+ sen and 6 skill points. It’s tedious but very rewarding.
My biggest advice would be to change the control scheme. I made them so I can have my fingers on attack, dodge, and block at the same Square=attack R2=dodge L1=block R1=prosthetic tool Circle =action/collect loot Triangle = item use Right dpad=cycle prosthetic Up and down dpad = cycle item Left dpad=eavesdrop Jump and grapple remain the same. Other than learning the timing and rhythm of the enemies (one of the most needed skills in this game) I found this to help exponentially as being able to dodge, jump, or attack at a moments notice in reaction to the enemies in this game is crucial. Hope this helps you guys, it took me hours of experimentation to determine this control scheme that works best for me. Don't be afraid to change the controls and practice plus it acts as a free way to grind while getting good. My favorite From Software game by far. I don't think this gets enough attention, I think the original controls make this game harder than necessary.
BestofBoth its a lot simpler, but still pretty good is to swap Up arrow on the d-pad and triangle. Btw your controls seem pretty cool but most of us already learned the controls of the game, and to change to that suddenly would mess us up a lot

There is a prayer beard in the poison pool too.After you kill the mini boss,go straight to the little abyss and there is an another jumpable place in the top of it.go to there and then come to that boulders you should go but there is 2 of them.After that there is a monkei you can kill and a monkey booze drink.but the prayer beard in the between of the rocks which is you should do wall jump then come to tha big boi buddha statue.(prbly u see that and didn't looted because you didn't knew it how to get up there).in the head of the statue there is a prayer beard.i can make a video about it and how to cheese that boss if you don't want to fight with her.
If you go to gun fort idol you can walk up behind gunmen and deathblow him. 297xp and 52 sen. Rinse repeat. And if you get bored of doing same method you can mostly deathblow the other enemies outside of the cave, however there is another gunmen that’ll spot you. Wait for him to turn his back then you can deathblow everyone else. (Gun fort Sculptor idol is located in sunken valley). If youre mid game you should’ve ran into it.
The iron fortress is actually on the ground in that room, that guy isn’t normally there unless you do the “wind the puppet fly the kite” stuff at mnt kongu
Trust me,there’s another hidden door In Ashina Castle DOJO,You will saw 2 blue ronin seating on TATAMI mat,there’s a wallpaper between two samurai armor,you will find prayer beads there
Actually on the ashina castle stairway, you can just throw shuriken to kill all the weaker enemy and they wouldn't even realize you there. Then you can 1v1 with the miniboss to kill him.
the letter was left by isshin ashina to emma since isshin is the tengu of ashina. He went undercovered and killed some lone swordsman. He actually leaves that letter so that emma k ow that he is on a kill. You can get the Ashina esoteric text from him after completing that rat quest which is those hat wearing short length guys.
Also, let me put y'all on game. The best XP grind spot I've found so far is the GUN ROOM. Go to this idol and turn around. U can essentially kill every enemy b4 here w a deathblow. Just have to run back after the 1st one only after his buddy sees u. Every enemy is 180xp+ and u get 3 that are 297xp. Make sure to get the 297 guy down the hall n around the corner to the right b4 the drop off. Also u can trigger those boobie traps that alert the enemy on ur 1st go. Then when u rest they won't b there. I got 6 skill points on about 30-40 mins n I had already maxed a tree or 2. Do this w the demon bell n u get black gun powder every time from one of the guys.
I discovered something very helpful when attempting to beat the miniboss in the ashina depths. If you jump down and get the poison pond idol, sneak around, kill the two enemies (160xp each for like 5 seconds of fighting) and then sneak attack the miniboss "snake eyes" I think his name is, then grapple and double jump back up towards the ashina depths idol and just stand there near it, for some reason snake eye's health will start dropping all on its own. Not sure if the poison pond hurts him or what but I just sat there until his final health bar reached zero, took maybe 5 to ten minutes of waiting,then jumped back down and finished him off, easy as that!
I bet not many of you know that you can actually parry the bulls attacks for extra posture damage that’ll lead to a temporary down state for the bull. Running around to it’s back a poking it with your Katana is not going to train you for the games tougher encounters that absolutely require parry.

@JorRaptop the General with the 4 gunmen, you can kill the gunmen if you upgraded your spinning shuriken take 2 loaded shuriken for each and the boss does not see you.
you don't need to run behind the blazing bull when it rushes at you. Just deflect it, you will find it very easy to beat this beast, but only deflect its rushing attack, cause all attacks will get the fire gauge(don't know the name) up.
HEY PLEASE READ THIS!! the blood droplet, DON'T USE IT!! after you beat the main boss of Ashina castle (Genichiro) when you talk to Kuro again eventually he'll use the blood droplet TO PERMAMENTLY make you have 3 resurrections!
Later in the game there is a place with items but dont know how to get them they are at the idol where the great colored carp destroyed the bridge *Update* I found it from flower viewing stage idol take out enemies behind you there is a small pool of water you can actually dive in and it leads to quite a couple of items 3 treasure carp scales and a item called water of the palace

Theres a better spot for farming at the ashina castle idol (the first one/where the mini boss is) from the idol go to the left and cross the bridge and then kill the wolves with shurikens and sneak up on the big bell guy this can be done in less than a minute and you get about 250 exp
The letter is from Isshin Ashina and he is the Tengu of Ashina, the guy with the red mask that gives you the Ashina skills (Ashina cross, Ichimonji etc)
gun fort is the best place to farm items, skill points and money. Just a few cycles of farming and resting to the idol will give you already 3 skill points in less than 15 mins
There is also a prayer bead in the sunken valley just follow the path and take the other direction and u will come to an end there is a enemy who is easy to defeat and u will find the prayer bead there

The way I killed the general mini-boss in ashina castle without worrying about the gun guys was to just get on the roof to the right air deathblow him then kite him to the right alley way. They don't follow you so it is basically just you and him
I didnt know those boxes were chests XD. I skipped like 3 of them and now I need to go back and look just in case there are any unique goodies hiding inside them
There is a 2nd shinobi hunter in hirata estate along with a spearman i found harder than the hunter.to find them.start at the house overlooking river jus before going up the well to inner estate.from here go left to the trees an follow to find a path hidden by optical illusion(havent seen this in a vid)defeating the hunter gets you an overflowing coin pouch.sry if this was in vid i posted this cause this is the 5th secrets vid im assuming you missed it to.love the vids.hope this helps someone out.1k gold is a big help for people wanting quickly through the gam
I remember thinking that one of those fish was a Karp, killing it, seeing that it definitely was not a Karp, and then getting the fuck out of the water
The upgrade for the axe prosthetic really helps vs the rats with hats as quite often they stay close during the first part of the attack. Really helped me to farm that spot at the castle gates
I've been wondering if they were in the game and what's funny is when I seen the little banners on the wall I really thought it might be something and hit it and was like "Well. Guess not." LOL!
@@francisdimaano2350 Fair enough, but I wouldn't really call it "extremely late game". By respawning, I mean they come back out of the ground before even using the bonfire again. Nowhere else in the game have I seen enemies that are that abundant and they give more XP than just the soldiers.
I'm really confused on whether deaths cause dragon rot or revives do. The info I found online was kind of vague and I just need a straight "deaths do" or "revives do" pls
I'll tell you what's funny is every From game always will have a moment in it where something will just literally come out of nowhere and kill you and I've wondered where this game was gonna have that moment and maybe that is what that is meant to be. Like in Souls 1 when the dragon would just fly over the bridge and breathe fire and kill you or in Bloodborne when the cannon guy would just shoot you from a distant rooftop. No matter what I always crack up when those moments happen. It's just the game reminding you to not get cocky.

Nice one👍🏽 You can use the bloodsmoke ninjutsu one the first guy to stealth kill the other. That's 600xp in 30secs

There is a prayer beard in the poison pool too.After you kill the mini boss,go straight to the little abyss and there is an another jumpable place in the top of it.go to there and then come to that boulders you should go but there is 2 of them.After that there is a monkei you can kill and a monkey booze drink.but the prayer beard in the between of the rocks which is you should do wall jump then come to tha big boi buddha statue.(prbly u see that and didn't looted because you didn't knew it how to get up there).in the head of the statue there is a prayer beard.i can make a video about it and how to cheese that boss if you don't want to fight with her.

If you go to gun fort idol you can walk up behind gunmen and deathblow him. 297xp and 52 sen. Rinse repeat. And if you get bored of doing same method you can mostly deathblow the other enemies outside of the cave, however there is another gunmen that’ll spot you. Wait for him to turn his back then you can deathblow everyone else. (Gun fort Sculptor idol is located in sunken valley). If youre mid game you should’ve ran into it.

The iron fortress is actually on the ground in that room, that guy isn’t normally there unless you do the “wind the puppet fly the kite” stuff at mnt kongu
Trust me,there’s another hidden door In Ashina Castle DOJO,You will saw 2 blue ronin seating on TATAMI mat,there’s a wallpaper between two samurai armor,you will find prayer beads there

Actually on the ashina castle stairway, you can just throw shuriken to kill all the weaker enemy and they wouldn't even realize you there. Then you can 1v1 with the miniboss to kill him.

the letter was left by isshin ashina to emma since isshin is the tengu of ashina. He went undercovered and killed some lone swordsman. He actually leaves that letter so that emma k ow that he is on a kill. You can get the Ashina esoteric text from him after completing that rat quest which is those hat wearing short length guys.
Also, let me put y'all on game. The best XP grind spot I've found so far is the GUN ROOM. Go to this idol and turn around. U can essentially kill every enemy b4 here w a deathblow. Just have to run back after the 1st one only after his buddy sees u. Every enemy is 180xp+ and u get 3 that are 297xp. Make sure to get the 297 guy down the hall n around the corner to the right b4 the drop off. Also u can trigger those boobie traps that alert the enemy on ur 1st go. Then when u rest they won't b there. I got 6 skill points on about 30-40 mins n I had already maxed a tree or 2. Do this w the demon bell n u get black gun powder every time from one of the guys.

I discovered something very helpful when attempting to beat the miniboss in the ashina depths. If you jump down and get the poison pond idol, sneak around, kill the two enemies (160xp each for like 5 seconds of fighting) and then sneak attack the miniboss "snake eyes" I think his name is, then grapple and double jump back up towards the ashina depths idol and just stand there near it, for some reason snake eye's health will start dropping all on its own. Not sure if the poison pond hurts him or what but I just sat there until his final health bar reached zero, took maybe 5 to ten minutes of waiting,then jumped back down and finished him off, easy as that!
I did the stealth part but I just deflected his attacks like the god I am
Also if you see his grapple attack dodge back the deflect
I bet not many of you know that you can actually parry the bulls attacks for extra posture damage that’ll lead to a temporary down state for the bull. Running around to it’s back a poking it with your Katana is not going to train you for the games tougher encounters that absolutely require parry.
But slapping his ass was fun

@JorRaptop the General with the 4 gunmen, you can kill the gunmen if you upgraded your spinning shuriken take 2 loaded shuriken for each and the boss does not see you.

you don't need to run behind the blazing bull when it rushes at you. Just deflect it, you will find it very easy to beat this beast, but only deflect its rushing attack, cause all attacks will get the fire gauge(don't know the name) up.

HEY PLEASE READ THIS!! the blood droplet, DON'T USE IT!! after you beat the main boss of Ashina castle (Genichiro) when you talk to Kuro again eventually he'll use the blood droplet TO PERMAMENTLY make you have 3 resurrections!

Best for exp but there’s an area late game where you can get 12000 sen and 9000 exp per 5 minutes

Later in the game there is a place with items but dont know how to get them they are at the idol where the great colored carp destroyed the bridge
*Update* I found it from flower viewing stage idol take out enemies behind you there is a small pool of water you can actually dive in and it leads to quite a couple of items 3 treasure carp scales and a item called water of the palace

Theres a better spot for farming at the ashina castle idol (the first one/where the mini boss is) from the idol go to the left and cross the bridge and then kill the wolves with shurikens and sneak up on the big bell guy this can be done in less than a minute and you get about 250 exp

The letter is from Isshin Ashina and he is the Tengu of Ashina, the guy with the red mask that gives you the Ashina skills (Ashina cross, Ichimonji etc)

gun fort is the best place to farm items, skill points and money. Just a few cycles of farming and resting to the idol will give you already 3 skill points in less than 15 mins

There is also a prayer bead in the sunken valley just follow the path and take the other direction and u will come to an end there is a enemy who is easy to defeat and u will find the prayer bead there

The way I killed the general mini-boss in ashina castle without worrying about the gun guys was to just get on the roof to the right air deathblow him then kite him to the right alley way. They don't follow you so it is basically just you and him
I didnt know those boxes were chests XD. I skipped like 3 of them and now I need to go back and look just in case there are any unique goodies hiding inside them
There is a 2nd shinobi hunter in hirata estate along with a spearman i found harder than the hunter.to find them.start at the house overlooking river jus before going up the well to inner estate.from here go left to the trees an follow to find a path hidden by optical illusion(havent seen this in a vid)defeating the hunter gets you an overflowing coin pouch.sry if this was in vid i posted this cause this is the 5th secrets vid im assuming you missed it to.love the vids.hope this helps someone out.1k gold is a big help for people wanting quickly through the gam

The upgrade for the axe prosthetic really helps vs the rats with hats as quite often they stay close during the first part of the attack. Really helped me to farm that spot at the castle gates

Mibu fishing village is a much better farm spot. They keep respawning, too.
R4zE Mibu is extremely late game. He was talking about early game, also all enemies respawn, with the exception of mini bosses.
@@francisdimaano2350 Fair enough, but I wouldn't really call it "extremely late game". By respawning, I mean they come back out of the ground before even using the bonfire again. Nowhere else in the game have I seen enemies that are that abundant and they give more XP than just the soldiers.

I'll tell you what's funny is every From game always will have a moment in it where something will just literally come out of nowhere and kill you and I've wondered where this game was gonna have that moment and maybe that is what that is meant to be. Like in Souls 1 when the dragon would just fly over the bridge and breathe fire and kill you or in Bloodborne when the cannon guy would just shoot you from a distant rooftop. No matter what I always crack up when those moments happen. It's just the game reminding you to not get cocky.
