For the second phase of the ape I found that deflecting his attacks works best. Especially the one where he stands up and then falls forward with the sword. If you deflect that you will have time for 4-5 attacks while he recovers. After doing that once or twice do the double Ichimonji after deflecting. His posture damage will build up really fast for an easy kill
Wouldn't reccomend using spirit emblems for your spear on the crawling blade enemies, because all you have to do is jump and you'll get an instant deathblow. Also, another thing to not forget is that with the spear, if you push the tool button again when the spear connects with an enemy, you can pull them towards you and then do a follow up attack
I like your guides, but the description of how to get the divine abduction tool had way too many cuts, and I have no idea how to follow where you are talking about or how to get there

Block everything he throws at you then when you see the red icon double jump and you will jump away from his attack and kick him in the head doing enough posture damage to keep him ahead of you, block to recover posture until the next wave then rinse and repeat, free prayer bead

Like he himself said it doesn't protect you from sweeps and obviously also not from grabs, so it essentially can deflect thrust attack. Guess what, all thrust attacks can be deflected anyway. They just cant be blocked. Blocking is really ineffective on them and you shouldn't be doing them. Mikiri counter is just as easy and if after the sign appears you managed to figure out that its a trust attack then you can just as well mikiri counter. Also there is a shortcut to go quick to your first quick item (healing gourd). You don't have to put your oil next to your healing gourd for effectiveness. The opposite is the case. Next to your healing gourd should be your most used items so you can quickly access them. Going back to the healing gourd you can always do instantly. Using shuriken+RB as a gap closer is great but not in the situation he said. When butterly jumps down you won't be that far away from her to having to do it, and if you are then you should just have dodged instead of running away, after that attack is when she is most vulnerable and you should do your most damaging attacks like a combat art, charging RB or possibly use the axe. shuriken+RB is pretty much the worst thing you can do except if you do nothing.

finger whistle is absolute waste if you cared for spirit emblems. It consumes 3 and there's 100% chance that it's not very stealthy thing! And I don't know when it's 50/emblem but i'm still seeing 10sen/emblem. Flame vent and the oil jars are your go to for the minibosses.

A game is flawed when you get 98% of the achievements in about 20 hours but have to play another 10 hours grinding just to get levels to purchase skills you will never use because you already beat the game for an achievement. :/
For the shadows of Yharnam you want to take out the fireball caster then go for black katana guy as fast as possible getting him to zero before the snakes spawn is essential or it drags the fight out too long

The crawling enemies at 4:45 are easier to kill. You can just jump on them and you can do a deathblow, even if they spotted you

On his second phase, when he raises the sword all the way up, deflect that and use the loaded spear and see what happens.

my favorite prostethic tool is the Phoenix's Lilac Umbrella. makes headless and shinchimen warrior very easy to fight

also worth noting is both the fan and the flame vent combo with the living force ability and powers up your sword with either wind or fire for a time.

Buy it and git gud. I think this game is more user friendly than bloodborne since they give you lots of hints and a training dummy for practice
