One Week in one Minute - Episode 10 extended edition. So, after 6 months, I was finally able to edit and review my photos and videos from our family trip in the summer. So here is a list of where we went and places we ate that I recommend. Full disclosure, you probably want 6-7 days for this itinerary as we had to cut things out, but here goes.
Monday: Fly from SEA to KOA. Hale I'a Da Fish House in Kawaihae, Pololū Valley Lookout, Fresh Off the Grid, Kohala Mountain Road, we stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Village
Tuesday: South Point Park, Punaluʻu Black Sand Beach, Punalu'U Bake Shop in Naalehu, Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park
Wednesday: Mauna Lani South Course, Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation, Scandinavian Shave Ice in Kona
Thursday:
Volcanoes National Park
• Crater Rim Drive - Kilauea Overlook, Steam Vents/Steaming bluff to sulphir banks, crater rim trail south of visitor center
• Kīlauea Iki Trailhead to Thurston Lava Tube
• Puʻupuaʻi to the overlook of the crater on the Devastation Trail
• Chain of Craters Road to Hōlei Sea Arch
Tuk-Tuk Thai Food Truck, Waipiʻo Valley Lookout, Kuleana Rum Shack in Waikoloa Village
Friday: Waikoloa Beach Resort Golf (Beach & Kings Nines), ʻAnaehoʻomalu Beach, Sunset Sail on the Spirit of Aloha
Saturday: Fly from KOA to SEA
Shout out to Island Gourmet Markets at The Queen's Marketplace (full grocery store with great prepared food). We got food their multiple times, yum.
