I pretty much agree with your assessment. Bailout trumps Bugout. Both are very competent knives, but given the choice, I’d take the Bailout every time… except that Benchmade has now made an aluminium handled, M390 bladed Bugout! Similarly priced to the Bailout, it takes the best of both, and makes a brilliant knife!

In my opinion sypdercos version of the axis lock is better using a fairly heavy duty spring. But I still love my bailout.
Psst what if I told you that they make stronger aftermarket springs for Benchmade knives.
