Oregon fan here. we went 11-2 which is better than last year. only sad part is that the 2 losses were to Washington and 1 of them stopped us from going to the playoffs. Still with the chance to win the fiesta bowl and finish 12-2 it's still a pretty good year for a second year head coach with no prior head coaching history.
(I am an O.U. fan who enjoys your channel a lot) ... And I am okay with our 2023 season. I am disappointed that we lost to Kansas and Oklahoma State, and that we did not get a Big Six Bowl Game, but after last year ... (1) beating Texas this year, and (2) ending the regular season 10-2 ... I'm okay with that. Looking forward to the Alamo Bowl and then seeing how we do next year in the SEC.
Georgia fan here Lou. I'm not disappointed in Georgia's season at all. Went udefeated in the regular season for the third year in a row. Won the East Made the SEC championship game for the third year in a row. Got to play Alabama, lost by three, but that's happened before. Playing in the orange Bowl and should beat FSU. Won the last two Natty's. Nobody goes to the playoffs every year. Nobody wins the Natty every year. Georgia fans you should be proud of our team.

What is interesting about the AP poll is that it was more accurate this year than past years. Usually you have 2-3 top ten teams that fall out of the polls. USC was the only one.
Usually losing only 1 game wouldn’t be disappointing but it’s who we lose to. This shitty ass program in Michigan who can’t win a bowl game if it was handed to them on a silver platter…WHICH IT WAS last season. however they still beat us with Harbaugh suspended no less which adds salt to wound and to really pile it on they get to face Bama. The fact that I know we would stand a better chance against Bama and don’t get to prove it is just the cherry on top
Agree on Uncle Lou's comments as a Tennessee fan. The Florida game was unacceptable and made the season a disappointment. Not sure about Missouri although it was disappointing more how we lost than losing it. Missouri was good, they beat Ohio State as well.
I think that USC is the runaway biggest letdown of the year, but I personally think LSU was the most disappointing. Having the Heisman and not getting double digit wins because your defense regresses as bad as it does will always be a letdown.
My Rutgers Scarlet Knights exceeded expectations with our 6-6 record, but two of our conference opponents in Northwestern and Michigan State had to go with interim head coaches this season due to off the field controversies. We could've otherwise lost both of those games and possibly even against Virginia Tech who also underwhelmed, meaning we would've gone backwards and only won 3 games this season.
As a LSU fan, sure I was disappointed but more disappointed in Arkansas. They lost several close games and had potential. Hopefully Bobby Petrino being present there will turn it around for the Hogs next season.
Am a USC fan and was disappointed especially the Fla game where our DC went AWOL. USC should have won that game and would have been bowl eligible. That one game was reason enough to fire Clayton White. To top that off, Beamer the head coach, had to tell the DC how to fix the defense but he waited too long and season was already lost. If you have to tell an employee who is making Big Bucks how to do his job, then that employee should be an ex-employee. Hope Beamer does the right thing and sends White to the unemployment line but am thinking he may not do it. As for the DC's replacement, any coach can be gotten for the right amount of $. Have been a GC fan for decades and have mostly disappointed with Holtz and Spurrier years being the exceptions mostly. Even those two legends couldn't really get USC over the hump. So am no longer bothered so much when USC loses. Have come to expect it and losses don't bother me as much. Wife used to laugh at me for letting a ball game bother me so much and she was right because it no longer does.

It’s not an entitlement to be disappointed when you go 12-1 if you are Georgia. The alumni have given much in the way of money and fan support. The coaches are well paid and the facilities are second to none. Therefore Georgia has very high standards. We want to be elite.
FSU is my ACC team they actually exceeded my expectations. I expected them to go 11-1 with a loss at Clemson. But going 13-0 with a conference title is pretty sweet. Even though I doubt FSU can beat UGA I'm still excited for that game because I think FSU is a really good program but UGA is elite. So to take that next step you gotta beat an elite program.

Georgia can still have a good not great season by winning orange bowl. Anytime Georgia misses out on the playoffs I’m upset. We gotta win the conference more often as difficult as that sounds.

When making mistakes, as a team, with the individual players and coaches, that said team assembled, causes you to take an L, you were not as good as the other team. Most disappointing teams imo. Florida,USC, Kentucky,Texas Am,Penn St..UNC..who imo had probably the easiest schedule out the ACC..There are some more I'm sure but these teams stand out more to me.
I’m disappointed with some of the ways KU lost this year felt like we could’ve been in the conference championship, but I’m thrilled with a 9 win season.
As an Lsu fan i knew what was coming before the end of the first half vs FSU. Tbh, that was not that great of an Lsu offense. Its just brian kellys system. Has no idea what hes doing with elite defensive talent and he tries to run a defense like its freaking Iowa, so the game lasts forever. Especially with the sissy way he runs an offense. Throw to the tight end, check it down, take off and run for the sideline. Jayden Daniels did buck his authority and earned that heisman making big plays. But the whole brian kelly system at Lsu is like delivering pizzas in a racecar. Yea it gets results but the results were looking for at LSU are WINS not STATS !
Once teams figured out for sure that Joe Milton couldn't throw downfield, teams started loading the box to stop our run, and to dare Joe to throw downfield. Our offense flopped around like a limp dick after that.
Tennessee fan here. Totally agree that it was a disappointing season only because of what we were spoiled with last season. If 8-4 and a New Year’s Day bowl is what Heupel’s down years look like, it’s not bad. Especially considering the scholarship reductions he has dealt with and the roster he took over.
Athens is my Hometown. I am proud of what Kirby has done. Without the many injuries in the SEC championship game. I fill their would have been a different outcome. Twenty nine straight is nothing to be sad about.

I am disappointed in all the program with established coaches who been there for more than 12 months and have top 15 recruiting classes year after year. Yet have nothing to show for it, now that is disappointing 😂.

I wasn’t disappointed in my teams. Georgia Tech was expected to make a bowl and they did that. They also had a winning record at 7-6. Big step forward for their program and I’m happy with Brent Key. So far so good for Tech. FSU I was not disappointed in either. They had a great year too and did not lose a game. 13-0 and won the ACC. And yes the playoff committee disappointed me. But I am proud of my Noles. Great season for FSU. I will say though I am disappointed in how our players have handled being snubbed. None of them are playing in the bowl game against Georgia and now our backup QB has entered the portal. So we are missing Trey benson, Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson, Jaheim bell, Jared verse, our backup QB, and other defensive starters. Now we have to start our 3rd string again. So what was such a promising season for my Noles I’m afraid will have a disappointing ending. But this will not change what FSU accomplished. I’m proud of my Jackets and my Noles!
Lou, why is 7-5 disappointing for A&M any year? Do they have a prestigious history of winning no less than 10 games a year and competing for Nation titles? They are not Georgia, Bama, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas or whatever other programs that have a long history of winning lots of games and post season success. 7-5 or 8-4 is about where they usually are

Once teams figured out for sure that Joe Milton couldn't throw downfield, teams started loading the box to stop our run, and to dare Joe to throw downfield. Our offense flopped around like a limp dick after that.

Tennessee fan here. Totally agree that it was a disappointing season only because of what we were spoiled with last season. If 8-4 and a New Year’s Day bowl is what Heupel’s down years look like, it’s not bad. Especially considering the scholarship reductions he has dealt with and the roster he took over.

Alabama fan here ,this season was a surpise in a good way ,we are extremely young . My choices for biggest let downs where TA&M and Oklahoma. I just expected more with their talent . (Coaching) their biggest issue !
That's why we(UF) and Miami fans have called FSU a clown college for decades now. It wasn't just about losses or the fact that it can't financially support itself.........but one of it's majors is seeing how many people can be stuffed into a small car.

By pre season narratives the team thats had the most talented team in college football history the last three years didnt bully ball with the greatest offensive line ever didnt have an old school saban team and finished witg two losss again has to be close to the top of this list now....thats bama btw
I am disappointed in all the program with established coaches who been there for more than 12 months and have top 15 recruiting classes year after year. Yet have nothing to show for it, now that is disappointing 😂.

I wasn’t disappointed in my teams. Georgia Tech was expected to make a bowl and they did that. They also had a winning record at 7-6. Big step forward for their program and I’m happy with Brent Key. So far so good for Tech. FSU I was not disappointed in either. They had a great year too and did not lose a game. 13-0 and won the ACC. And yes the playoff committee disappointed me. But I am proud of my Noles. Great season for FSU. I will say though I am disappointed in how our players have handled being snubbed. None of them are playing in the bowl game against Georgia and now our backup QB has entered the portal. So we are missing Trey benson, Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson, Jaheim bell, Jared verse, our backup QB, and other defensive starters. Now we have to start our 3rd string again. So what was such a promising season for my Noles I’m afraid will have a disappointing ending. But this will not change what FSU accomplished. I’m proud of my Jackets and my Noles!

Lou, why is 7-5 disappointing for A&M any year? Do they have a prestigious history of winning no less than 10 games a year and competing for Nation titles? They are not Georgia, Bama, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas or whatever other programs that have a long history of winning lots of games and post season success. 7-5 or 8-4 is about where they usually are
This is ignorant take. When you pay a coach 10 mill a year and have a top 10 talented team, 7-5 is extremely underachieving.

@crazyunclelou All the oil money in Texas hasn't been able to buy them conference or national championships up till this point why should anything less than 7-5 or 8-4 be expected by this point? I know it's disappointing for TAMU fans but everyone else shouldn't be expecting anything more from A&M than what they've been delivering every season for most of their existence
@brianhaynes9972 ranked in the preseason top 25, finished unranked. Preseason vegas win total at 8.5, finished with 7 wins, picked to finish 3rd in sec west, finished 4th. It's literally a disappointing season by every single metric except "brian says so".
