The line Mullen said about not knowing about the talent gap between Georgia and Florida, and then asking the reporter: "What do you think?" The reporter goes. "Are you sure you want me to answer that." That is one of my all time favorites, for sure.
That's because they are not keeping the best talent in the nation home. Falls back on recruiting. Once UF gets the upgraded facilities finished and a coach that can recruit, that will change.

As a Bama fan and a former coach, I don't know if we can consistently move the football on Georgia's defense if we play them. There is an assumption we've automatically punched our ticket to Atlanta. We've got to play Auburn at Jordan-Hare at the end of the month. There are a lot of events that can happen between now and then AND there's always that Jordan-Hare voodoo to overcome.

I pointed this out after last week's presser, specifically that Mullen got downright nasty when asked about recruiting. I got jumped on by someone because I pointed that out. Certain fans don't want to call it like they see it... they want to pretend like everything is ok. It's not. Now, should the dude be fired? Don't know... but at this point, like lou said, it looks like he's trying to get fired.
Yeah, there’s something with fan bases, especially with the bigger teams, that create people that can’t handle other’s opinions that touch on the truth, just like Georgia fans that defended Richt when he started losing high-priority recruits and games we had to win to challenge for a title, or Kirby with his QB decisions or lack thereof. That's true, yes, but Mullen is sorta bordering on Ed Orgeron territory by being on thin ice as it is, but continuing to stick his foot in his mouth despite the university assigning their PR officials and public speaking instructors to work with him and train him on how to avoid these situations. They've tried to curb Mullen's public speaking missteps by giving him the experts and trainers to work with him to help him overcome this, but it seems to be having no noticeable impact still.

There are Very few teams who are elite programs who DO NOT recruit very well. And even then they can beat most teams in conference consistently but Not The Big Dog. Perfect example is Wisconsin and Iowa. Both win 9-11 games a yr and Have beat Ohio st Once in a while but Not consistently.....

Florida is currently being out-recruited in 2022 by Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, and South Carolina. Dan Mullen should be fired for this alone.
