Just got one today (the pro model though) and I think he’s right….and wrong. If you’re a high school/college player I’d skip this glove. But I play men’s modified fast pitch softball and this thing is perfect. Super deep pocket for fielding a softball, and the larger pinky lets me go back and forth from one to two in the pinky depending on where I’m playing that day. Again, if I was 22 and still trying to make the pros I would never use this glove. But at 40 and having fun, it’s a far better option than spending $350 on a Rawlings heart of the hide slowpitch glove.

I have the Shoeless Joe 3400 catchers mitt & I love it.
It doesn't smell & it didn't ship already broken in, but Sarna Glove Conditioner and a glove mallot had the glove broken in in short order, with a well-defined pocket,....... the glove is awesome!
I absolutely wish I would have found this video sooner. I could smell that shoeless Joe glove a mile before it got to my door. I opened the box, and as soon as I regained consciousness, I held my breath and packaged it up quickly for a return.

Have you ever felt a marucci capitol series? It seems there is a lack of TH-cam reviews on it. Also would you recommend Rawlings wingtips
Right?! There seems to be a glut of Heart of the Hide, Pro Preferred, 44 Pro, and A2000/A2K reviews but nary a word on Marucci, Mizuno, or Easton for some reason. I, for one, would love to see something along those lines JUST to have something different to watch. That being said, I'm glad Ball Glove King steps outside of the usual ones and show some underdogs sometimes. Great channel!
@@mdsmith1019 I'd also love to see some reviews on the Marucci Capitol series or even their Cypress series. I tried on one of their Cypress gloves at Scheels recently and it felt pretty darn good.

I also got the glove for less than $50 on sale because he’s a lefty and it was a lefty infield glove.

I always thought these were floppy gloves, although I love the look. I picked up a 1950s style old school glove from them a while back and that thing it awesome. The leather works perfectly for that, but I could tell it would be a poor choice for a serious modern glove.
Dont ever disrespect Mexico leather because i had plenty gloves from Mexico and the leather is the best but it also depends on where they get the leather from
Mexico leather is great but I wouldn’t say it best fits gloves. Mexico is actually known for having good tanneries.

Cool dad glove is exactly what I wanted. I’m going to be fielding balls from 8U, not Trout. My skills also don’t warrant a better performing glove.
Your fielding is soooo smooth. I still haven’t taken a groundball since January I’m going to be so rusty when I can field again 😂😂😂.

Ive tried this glove, Its a pretty good glove, and i love how it looks. Its just it wouldnt use it as my main glove, i prefer a bigger glove, 11.75. Other than than, in my opinion, i love the glove.
How small do your hands have to be to think 11.75 is big

People think I’m only saying good things but the thing is that it’s very very easy to make a good glove. There’s only a few manufacturers that are making gloves for all these brands so it’s practically the same glove with minor differences in leather and laces and stuff like that

I’m not a Shoeless Joe Fan they’re ugly in my opinion and from the looks the leather looks cheap n soft. With that said most break ins he will miss some balls this glove he looked very smooth.
