When I started collecting fountain pens, I bought 7 Platinum Preppy pens and I think within a year without any mistreatment, they all cracked. The Platinum Plaisir is the same pen but with a metal body and it lasts much longer. I think it’s worth the small added cost of the Plaisir. Thanks for the video! I appreciate your avoidance of pens that are copies of other companies’ pens. I do the same because I would not want someone ripping off my ideas.
Ohhh… then my feeling about the Preppy’s was kind of right 😮 Of course it could be expected with a $6 pen, but durability-wise it’s a shame! Thank you for watching and for sharing your thoughts ☺️🙌
I was so nervous ordering a pen without the ability to watch a gazillion reviews and unboxings first 😅 But it turned out to be a beauty 🥰 Thank you so much for watching! ☺️🙌
I have the extra fine Pilot Elite, and IMO it writes like a Western fine/medium. I was surprised and disappointed because as you say it’s a Japanese pen and their EFs are truly extra fine.
Thank you so much for sharing that! It helped me decide to not get another Pilot Elite in EF for now, since I don’t think it will fit the purpose for which I want to use it. Instead I decided to go for the Platinum Century 3776 in EF for my planner, because it should have a similar linewidth as my Platinum Preppy in EF - but hopefully with a better writing experience. But we will have to see how that will work out for me 😅 Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! ☺️🙌
Oh, that Estie fomo is definitely real especially when one is on a budget- I have discovered that firsthand myself 😅 thank you for sharing your collection and being frank with us ❤
The prices are definitely no joke and it can escalate so quickly... 🙃 I'm trying to be mindful and ignore the fomo... but the struggle is real for sure!! 🥲😅 Thank you so much for watching! 🥰🙌
I love these videos. I love all your content but this is super fun for me as I totally understand the allure and obsession of the fountain pens. I’m hoping to add the same twisbi eco caramel/brown one to my teeny collection.
Ohhh I'm so happy to hear that, Marlene! 🥰 I can totally imagine this topic is not for everyone but I'm just having so much fun with it 🤭 I have been very much enjoying my TWSBI Eco Caffe & Bronze! Those coffee vibes are just so much fun 🤤☕️ I recently started doing Morning Pages and the Caffe & Bronze is my pen of choice for those - such a smooth writer! 👌
Loved seeing your collection! Thank you💜
I'm so glad you enjoyed - thank you for watching! ☺️🙌

That resin on the Scribe pen is gorgeous! I am also a big fan of Diamine Grape.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful collection !😀
Thank you for watching!! ☺️🙌
Love the video! Can’t you change the nib size on the Pilot to EF?
Thank you for watching - I'm so glad you enjoyed ☺️🙌 The nib of this specific model from Pilot (the Elite 95s) cannot be replaced.
