You are at the top of my list. You are calm, reserved, patient, and you have no stupid gimmick, phrases or music. And you make long videos! Checks all the boxes for me at least! Cheers
I actually cheered quietly when you managed to extract that last manifold bolt! What a massive personal achievement you have managed to reach for yourself and your family and business by getting that truck up to a standard where it has passed inspection. Total congratulations.
Great video Jesse. That light housing looked seriously unrepairable. But you did top tier work on it. Looks great like Andrew’s when he did his old truck.
Yes I like this guy, because he’s not afraid to use a wrench. Over an impact wrench or a regular ratchet. As long as he does it right , don’t be afraid to turn a wrench.
You impressed me twice. First, how you got the manifold bolts out without throwing tools across the yard and having to bleep out every third word, I'll never know. Congrats on your extreme level of patience. Second, I didn't think there was any hope for rebuilding that hood and you managed to pull that off as well. Nice work.
Way to go Jesse. Always enjoy your content. Respect to you and your hard working and loving family. You could see your boys eyes light up behind the wheel. Pretty cool
Truck repair/ mechanical videos, are my thing. House building, excavating, plumbing, stuff like that I don't watch, but you do a good job on these repair vids.
Growing up, stepdad thought that some tools were just too dangerous for us kids... no welder... or grinders.... Sure we knew what a wire wheel was, and a plumbers butane torch... but we couldn't try the weld a nut on solution... it was drill it out and retap every time. I am so glad to see you teaching your kids and letting them participate. I really REALLY wish someone had the patience to teach us welding earlier... I was 25 before I knew a grinder or a welder.
You are such a good father to your kids. I love seeing that you take the time no matter how busy you are to play with them, teach them how to do things, or let them help you do work. Reminds me of good memories with my father when I was growing up. Don't take these moments for granted because they are only young once. The next thing you know you blink and they are all grown up.
That Sir was one educating video. The body work and the engine repair was spot on. I have come to the conclusion you can build and repair anything that comes you way.
Man, I think I was more excited to see that last exhaust bolt come loose than even you. I was hootin' and a hollarin' out loud when I saw it really start turning. Didn't have much room left for welding it. SWEEET!
Ha!!!! As you know i am a huge fan and admirer. I especially like it when you include your family in the videos. Your boys are gonna grow up to be fine young men Jesse. You are setting as close to a perfect example for them as anyone could imagine. As multi talented of a young man as you are - your most important skill is that of being a great dad. Great video as usual young man.
Fibre Glass is amazing stuff. They do make whole car bodies out of it. Your work looks good and you showed the magic of working with it - patience. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Jesse! For areas where you need to put fiberglass with no backing, I usually put aluminum sticky tape on the back side - it sticks to the surrounding area and has some rigidity to keep its shape until the fiberglass solidifies.
Well impressed with the Fender/hood/ light house repair Jesse. I love that you keep your videos real. Anyone can throw money at a problem or get someone else to fix things if they have lots of dosh. Most of us cannot afford that luxury and its great to see someone with real talant and a great skill set making it happen for themselves. I was very similar as a young man. Now I'm nearly 70 and I dont have money issues any more but - old habbits die hard. Looking forward for thenext one 👍🗽
thanks. yea even if you have the money it is nice to brush up on things when you can because you never know when you will be stuck on the side of the road where money and a cell phone might not do much for you
Excellent work Jesse. The cost of everything is sky high right now, I hope many more people will learn how to repair things. With the price of energy and gas, we need all the help we get.
Congratulations, Jesse for getting that truck back on the road!! You did an A M A Z I N G job with that light and hood rebuild. It looks like brand new! Your videos, and YOU, never cease to amaze me.
The truck is now a useful tool to help prosper you and your family. That is more important than looks. Thanx for another excellent video. God bless.😃👍🔧🪛🔨
Lil fella walking up with a boot on his foot and one on his hand was hilarious. We used to cut and mold headlight panels out of older 80s vehicles and mold them into work truck hoods thats been busted out, had an old Brockway with a mid 80s Pontiac Bonneville headlight buckets in it. Worked great and later put LED outer high/low beam and off road LED flood lights on the inner lights for late night open road deer spotters
6/18/22..just watched you do 2 very different but absolutely necessary projects: replaced yur exhaust manifold- incurring many frozen bolts 🔩 but overcoming the welded-like conditions of those bolts...then saw you sclupt/fiberglass & bondo-shape the right front headlight housing...matching the undamaged left side ! You are a man of many talents, great to watch you tackle your project with minimal supervision from your beautiful kids..that little red head of yours trying to drive & reach for that air horn strap...very warm & wonderful to see you bring them into these videos...Great stuff Jesse! Carry on Sir! Stay safe & keep yur videos comming!👍👍👍🛠🔧🧑🏭🧑🔧💪😊🍺
You are a master Jesse. Anything you do , you do with pride n precision. One request for this truck for now. Even a short video. 2 cans of black paint and wirebrush for the bumper and some silver paint for the steps. Truck looks awesome. Once you take those daytons off this truck is a keeper for life with regular maintenance.
Great job Jesse Necessity is the mother of invention. I love how you work on through the problems you encounter as you attempt to repair the issues with your truck repair. Not one four letter word.
Great job on this one. I run and maintain a 91 International dump for my small business and have a lot of respect for folks who put the time in to keep old trucks and equipment going.
Great job getting it certified!! Getting the bolts was crazy. It was frustrating and I was just watching!! Awesome work! The little guy looks like a natural behind the wheel. I like the little eyebrow hitch after you blew the horn! Really cute!!
having just pulled and fought with a rusty exhaust manifold myself today, That's a heroic effort you've made. arguably one of the worst jobs on any salt belt vehicle, the combo of heat and rust practically welds the parts together.
Well the fiberglass saved money and this one is done for while.. It such a great job you can’t tell it.. As for the exhaust manifold you were lucky to find the right part and all is good.. Great video. Keep it going forward..☺️👍
I must admit, Jesse, if you had all the right parts for the job this video was going to be much shorter...so in a way I am happy....because i got to watch a longer version of the video. But i honestly hope you had the right parts so that you get it over and done with so that you could have continued with other pressing matters at hand. Your patience is beyond words...I learn so much from your work ethics...honestly.. Thank you for putting your videos out there
It just shows perseverance pays off, very few people would have had what it takes to get this truck back on the road and pass inspection, great job Jesse you should be very proud of what you just accomplished, hope this truck gives you a long time of good service.
Great video Jesse! Your persistence is to be highly admired! You get the job done without a lot of fanfare! Thanks for posting another great video and take care!
Jesse, the tie wrap idea is cool, how it pulled it together, watch people using fiberglass on boats you did a nice job molding the light area, you're done a lot to the truck. Thanks for sharing
Love your long videos, great shots, perfect balance between detailed closeup and fast foreward. Great editing, very pleasant to watch. Thank you also for not crying for us to subscribe and “hit the like button”. You are a great example for young and old! Thanks from Norway!
Jesse Muller, you are the most patient person I've ever witnessed!!! New studs are cheap, so are new gaskets. Doing it right the first time saves doing it a second and third time
I shouldn’t be watching you battle broken manifold studs i should be down in the barn getting the one last broken off manifold bolt out of the crv, its such a royal pain. Sometimes when trying to get a short broken stud out I weld a washer on first and then weld a nut to the washer it's easier to get a strong weld on it with better penetration, CHEERS I love the longer vids...
I was certain that I heard that wonderful Mother of yours in the background there. Sure hope everybody is doing well and everything is progressing well on your buildings!! Take care Good people!!
After watching a number of videos of fiberglass repairs and boat building, I think you can throw just about anything in there to hold the shape while the fiberglass sets. Need some metal reinforcement? go for it; piece of wood that would work? It's alright. getting the right number of layers of matting and smoothing it our after seems the most important. The repair looks great, jesse. Thanks for the videos.
you can use " anything to form the shape...steel or aluminum..wood or plastic...doesn't matter...and leave it in too...if making multiple parts..make a mold to get your shape..once you get the first fibreglass on and hard...you can remove the mold and start your layers...cardboard works too just to get a shape started...anything...screen material ( type with small grids )...even a shirt or fabric stretched and held firmly....tape...aluminum foil...lol
you need Cloth and Mat to get your thickness...and you should try to get it smooth as you finish...last layer can be any material..cloth ( stronger ) or mat ( more a filler material )... and yes adding strength is easy..metals or wood inside...
After welding the nut on quench the bolt threads with 3 n 1 or cutting oil till it stops smoking. Then you'll stop breaking the nut off. It's because the bolt has expanded in the hole and lubrication has been burned off it needs to be cooled off and re lubricates.👈😎👍 Hint WD40 doesn't work. 😍👉Awesome job on the body work and fixin the old girl up.
Good job Jesse, you did a lot of work spend a lot of time and SAVED a lot of money. I’ve done some bondo but not fiberglass. If I ever need to fiberglass anything I’m sure I can after watching you. I’m ready to watch you build this concrete house, never seen this before. Been watching your mom and dad work on their new house. I knew I would see you when the concrete was poured. Stay safe
Wow i love to see you work and manage your way out with intelligence and wisdom 👍🏼❤️🇨🇦 I loved it to see your kid being all happy to see the “big “ truck 😜🤪 You’re 🫵🏻 my best 🇨🇦
It's a great truck that has seen hard times and is willing for you to update it. Patience and perseverance are key here. Ok, some new parts, and this truck will serve you for a while.
Master Engine Technician meets Body Shop Foreman meets Green Acres (farm sounds in background) Just waiting for “Lisa Douglas to announce the hotcakes are ready.” (Jesse, you weren’t born yet!) I agree with the other comments. Your expertise and patience is truly remarkable. You'd make a wonderful teacher but you already wear so many hats.
That's just... A great Job Sir. Really. To get that truck inspected?!?!? I'm a little shocked. I tip my cap to you Sir. Well done. This particular video, I could nitpick a few things on the front end repair, but, probably things happened off camera.... You got there in the end, and it looks 92% good, in the video shots you showed..... WAY better than most attempts I've seen..... For a non professional, working in his gravel driveway, with aerosols, I'd call it amazing....
You did such a good job on the hood repair, iam glad to see your truck on the road, i know you are. i think your truck looks great. keep up the good work.
You've got to get a mini angle grinder and some follow disc. Every where fiberglass or bond goes has to ground. When you put fiberglass on paint it just comes loose. I'm not criticizing I applaud your effort. Get your self a DA sander and a viking air file and a mini vike. I'm old and I learned a long time ago sometimes you just have to have the right tools. Great video thanks.
Nice job, putting your Freight Shaker back on the road!!! Excellent job on the fiberglass repairs on the hood, maybe someday, when the more important things are taken care of,give your truck a decent paint job,it will certainly have earned it!!😎😎😎
Cardboard makes good forms when covered with Saran Wrap and/or clear packing tape. Layer up your glass on visqueen so that you are applying three or four layers at a time wet to the work. Saves time. Resin and thickeners make a better putty and filler then a very thin layer of Bondo if you must to finish. You can bond to plastics with epoxy formulations and do the whole job in epoxy if premium strength is required.
Great Video! I look foward to each vid from you. Clear presentation, well explained and a joy to watch. As a side benefit, I did learn quite a few things from you. Thank you!
Jesse I gave you hell once about your music montages everywhere. I have to tell you that this is some of the best editing (in my opinion) that you have done yet. The sound of the work with the kids and the animals in the background without the music is so great. Really, really well done, man. That repair work was extremely enjoyable to watch.
This was a nice video. Watching your diligence removing those manifold bolts and repairing the hood/headlight housing I was thinking that you had the "patience of Job" (a phrase from the Bible). Also I enjoyed hearing the red wing blackbirds in the background as you worked.
You are at the top of my list. You are calm, reserved, patient, and you have no stupid gimmick, phrases or music. And you make long videos! Checks all the boxes for me at least! Cheers
thanks
well he does have music sometimes lol
100% agreed!
I applaud you for your work ethic and enthusiasm to get these trucks and equipment working like new. Great job Jesse
Really impressed with how the headlight repair turned out. From the start it looked rough
Started out looking like bride of Frankenstein!
I actually cheered quietly when you managed to extract that last manifold bolt! What a massive personal achievement you have managed to reach for yourself and your family and business by getting that truck up to a standard where it has passed inspection. Total congratulations.

Persistent is another word for stubborn, and it was surely needed here - well done
Great video Jesse. That light housing looked seriously unrepairable. But you did top tier work on it. Looks great like Andrew’s when he did his old truck.
And no use of chain saw......
thanks 2 zipties and bondo (was once pink). peace
Yes I like this guy, because he’s not afraid to use a wrench. Over an impact wrench or a regular ratchet. As long as he does it right , don’t be afraid to turn a wrench.
I like your wrenching jobs at home. Background noises from your kids playing. Noises from your animals, doing whatever they do.
You impressed me twice. First, how you got the manifold bolts out without throwing tools across the yard and having to bleep out every third word, I'll never know. Congrats on your extreme level of patience. Second, I didn't think there was any hope for rebuilding that hood and you managed to pull that off as well. Nice work.
Jesse… your struggles are real! You are really one of those guys not afraid of any hard job! Great attitude too!
You did such a good job on the hood repair! Also I applaud you for your patience with the exhaust manifold stud removal!

I had to pause the video at 4:18 and give you a thumbs up for your beautiful little driver. What a delightful smile. OK, back to the show.
Hats off to you Jesse, didn't think anyone could pull the fender / light surround back from the dead, WELL DONE SIR!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You've got the patients of Jobe. Your an artist with the fiberglass and Bondio

I love these repair videos. There’s something so satisfying about keeping older equipment up and running
Also Noah is such a cute and happy little guy
Nice work! The legendary Muller patience is impressive.
At 4:05 your kids reaction to the horn was priceless. Glad you got that one on vid.
I have deep respect for your patience and staying calm when something fails after 5-6 times and finally does ..... 👍👍👍👍
I'm glad you decided to fix the hood, it was very fun to watch you do it!
Fibre Glass is amazing stuff. They do make whole car bodies out of it. Your work looks good and you showed the magic of working with it - patience. Thanks for sharing.
You had a lot of perseverance in getting your outcome and you did a wonderful job
Great job. I always learn a lot by watching how you do things.
Full props for the fibreglass repair, so satisfying
Next year Jesse open Corvette body shop. 😉 Why not? He seems to be able to do most anything.

The Lord has blessed you in so many ways
You’re good at everything. Truly talented.
having just pulled and fought with a rusty exhaust manifold myself today, That's a heroic effort you've made. arguably one of the worst jobs on any salt belt vehicle, the combo of heat and rust practically welds the parts together.
I admire your persistence in pursuing the welded nut method of bolt extraction. You must keep a large supply of nuts on hand.

Geez, Jesse! I've been watching your channel for about a year and am amazed at how many things you know how to do. Very impressive.
Wow, that headlight turned out way better than I would have imagined. Nice work. What a fun time with Cummins parts...

Jesse Muller, you are the most patient person I've ever witnessed!!!
New studs are cheap, so are new gaskets. Doing it right the first time saves doing it a second and third time
those studs are $17 a piece and they said a few weeks to get them. gaskets same thing. It wasnt the money that stopped me it was the time
@@jmuller86 An aftermarket stud kit and some Fel Pro gaskets are always a good thing, with plenty of copper coat. Smile
That hood repair turned out really nice! Keep up the good work Jesse!
I shouldn’t be watching you battle broken manifold studs i should be down in the barn getting the one last broken off manifold bolt out of the crv, its such a royal pain. It’s inspiring to see a master of patience tho. I’m also in the middle of reading that book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. In the section about Gumption he talks about how necessary it is to walk away once a hang up or set back has started to drain you of your gumption. So many a ha moments in there. Stuff you definitely dealt with before but never heard it put together like that. Really cool. Great work as usual
Proud of you for getting the loose rock off your dump gate before hitting the rod👍
Sometimes when trying to get a short broken stud out I weld a washer on first and then weld a nut to the washer it's easier to get a strong weld on it with better penetration, CHEERS I love the longer vids...
Nice work as always Jesse. Keep them runnin' Keep them working. Not many left that would put the work into it. Something to be proud of.
@Jesse Muller This guy is scamming as you in the comments
Persistence and patience normally wins the day walk away have a break good options great video content Jesse 💯🇬🇧👍🏻

You really can't tell that you have repaired the hood awesome job Jesse, catch you on the next one also Happy Father's Day
This has turned out to be a nice little truck with all the hard work you've put into it Jesse.
Great fiberglass work Jesse! I remember making my first set of speaker pods with epoxy and t-shirts.
I sdmire you. You hang in where I would have given up. You teach me what it takes to be patient and presistent.

Great job. I was skeptical of your bodywork when you started but the end result looked good enough. Way to have them bucks, my man!

Jesse looking good. Moving forward and up. Happy Father’s Day hope the family is doing well.👍🦾
Congrats Jesse on getting the fender and manifold done. looking sharp.
That repair work was extremely enjoyable to watch.
thanks. sometimes I want to fast forward alot so music is the only way to make it less awkward when the sound is gone.
This was a nice video. Watching your diligence removing those manifold bolts and repairing the hood/headlight housing I was thinking that you had the "patience of Job" (a phrase from the Bible). Also I enjoyed hearing the red wing blackbirds in the background as you worked.
