It is truly awful to record onto the track of another musician absent their permission, their inclusion of you in their band. Not to judge his musical skills (though he does sound out of tune, more so than purposely dissonant), but if you are going to do something as incredibly ballsy as this you had better bring the chops along with your enlarged scrotum, and he doesn’t. Louis didn’t ask him to play all over his singing here, and to reach across time to play that elevator bullshit on top of this particular piece of music is not the greatest sin, but my God it was arrogant.

To those who said people are just 'hating' on Kenny G - imagine if I take a very famous scene from The Godfather and decide to redub Marlon Brando's "I'll make you an offer you can't refuse" dialogue with my voice, although I obviously do not have even 0.01% of Brando's legendary charisma and acting ability. That was exactly what Kenny did here to What A Wonderful World - if this was a tribute to Louis Armstrong, it unfortunately was not a very respectful one, consciously or not, and I can see where Pat Metheny is coming from.
