The can opener was invented some years after the can. I think most folks used a knife to gain access to the contents. Any time one cuts thin guage sheet metal, they risk nasty cuts from both the tool (knife) and the workpiece (the can). Most have seen many types of can openers which are simple improvements on the knife. Check it out!

I like TH-cam Chainsaws really aren’t that expensive though. Well, if you’re like a logger or something then the kind you’d need would be but if you just need to trim shit around the house then you can get a pretty decent one for like $50
I like TH-cam plus the cost for the thing I mean u can get a gold quality chainsaw for like 40 to 50 dollars so y would u spend like 40 for shitty parts for a chainsaw that doesn’t work

A couple things. I used to be a Sawyer and I felled a fuckton of trees.
1. The chain (the part that cuts) is called the chain.
2. The bar (what you call the guide) is what the chain rides on. A chainsaw doesn't actually cut, it's a chiselling tool. Like a planer. That's why it makes chips.
3. Your chainsaw sucks for a variety of reasons but part of what it's trash is that you don't have a tension pin to tension the chain so the chain keeps falling off.

William Osman and Co. You do realize for 20-25 bucks they make a really amazing little cable thing that is really quite handy when camping or trail walking to cut smallish wood. I used one, surprisingly little effort compared to using an axe...or making that saw thing. lol.
The chainsaw bit would be useful for certain cosplay props. Ash Williams, any kind of robot/cyborg/power armor with a saw, a chain knife/sword, etc.
You'd want to dull the chain and use a slower than functional motor; but I can see how this would be useful information to build a functional saw that has moving parts that don't use much space. Add a sound chip with gas saw sounds. Genius.

Now I want to build my own but make I water powered as that's what I thought it was going to be by the thumbnail. I'm pretty sure you could have made it work if you were a little more familiar with chainsaws. Ive ran one on my umchles farm since I was a little kid and I'm 33 now and there is one major thing I learned and that's blade speed. You need that thing screaming fast so it dose bind up and stall. Definitely super cool video thanks.

I work at a Lowe’s, the birds come into the garden section which is open air, then fly into the main store when customers come and go from the garden center. There are on average 20-30 birds just flying around in the rafters at any given time and every now and then you find one dead just laying in the middle of an aisle
The other day when I was in a home center I saw some kind of a rodent running around in the store. And yeah they had indoor birds too. Someday maybe big box stores will be the last wildlife refuges on Earth?

@@morpheus6419 Some electric ones are. They aren't as powerful as the gas ones, but they are a lot more affordable.
@@morpheus6419 Have a small electric ryobi chainsaw I got on sale for 38$ at home depot years ago, It's rated up to 3" cuts but I have managed to cut 7" thick fallen branches with a bit of patience. Main thing to watch out for is the log pinching the blade but with enough saw horses or even a few clamps that can be mitigated.
