Amazing! We have an art center here that is offering classes for this, but of course, hand burning! Mine would end up looking like a 2 year old scribbled on it! 😂 CAN you burn directly on the black or would nothing show up? Maybe just end up looking like a water mark or something I'm wondering?!
If one is going to sell and claim their hats as a "HANDMADE" item during craft shows I see this as a SCAM to the customer. This is now machined artwork. Will to have to sell 1000's of dollars to make up the cost of a 10K laser machine and I don't see the ROI on this investment.
Sighhhhh. So are these polyester? Vegan suede (poly/cotton), definitely NOT wool. At least with hand burned we can go up the crown. We start our hats at 65 with just 1 pattern and go up from there. Folks appreciate the hand burn so much more
Not gonna lie, this is like me forcing my wife to do creative s**t she has zero interest in… there are still a ton of cool tips from these videos, but they cringe me like no other.
How did you burn on the side center of the hat?
how did you get the engraving up the side of the hat?
Love the idea of the box you created, for the hats to be engraved.
Shut....the....front....door! Super cool. Thanks for the share guys.
I KNEW if you guys did a video on this it would be EXTRA NOTCHED UP! Did not disappoint. Now let’s see if I ever make it 😅
How to did you engrave on the top side of the hat?
Did I miss how you got it to engrave up the side?
Same. Maybe they folded the brim down so it was flat from the side at that one point?…
Do you sell a hat jig for the weCreat Vista? Like a box to set the laser on top of.
Does the black show any color if you burn the outside?
Do u have the hat the jig file available for sale
WOW - just WOW!! Those looks fantastic.
To do the tops in 1 shot flip the hat inside out which isn't hard with felt. You may need a steamer to soften it a little. They are easy to reshape

hmmm......yes indeed....that version, coming soon!
Yes I make one on my F1
You didn't show how to engrave up the side of the shaft of the hat. That is something I would be interested in.
Love it!!!!!!
Congrats Garrett on making it through the full video without trying on a single one of those hats lol
I tried one on.... not my style. It felt weird it looks weird just weird. ~garrett
He just didn’t want to take the other one off lolol

*What’s with the Weird Arm Movement?!? Looking like the Cartoon Character Gumby!!! Lol* 😂
So cool
Wow!
I think maybe it cut through that black hat brim......
Great! Hats will now be saturated like the cheeseboards when the lasers came along.

Yeah, calling them handmade is beyond a stretch
"Theres no way you're going to handburn what this machine can burn"... ahhhh, yes. Take the artistry out of the craft, thats good.
