I say 10 times over because they didn't make a "good game series" they made a great series. You don't even need to know about league to enjoy it That and the ruination fiasco lowered my expectations

I really like Viktor and Jayces dynamic. Jayce dosent disrespect or try to outshine Viktor, he's just the face of the duo. He asks Viktor if he wants to join social events or speeches and is..generally really good to the guy. Its such a nice pace from the "I was disrespected and discredited" trope IE: Mysterio from Spider-man Far From Home.
I can at least respect that Jayce was so worried about Viktor that he got mad at Heimerdinger announcing that he was going to destroy what in their minds was the only thing that could help Viktor

I even thought after he talked to singed that that was when he would change into a bad guy but he didn't, he felt so remorseful for his assistants death. So I guess we'll have to wait till season 2 to see what makes him switch for real.

Though, the only thing that saved Witcher from failing was Henry Cavill, since he is a fantasy and SciFi fan, and without him, the show would be garbage with lazy race swapping. Kinda off topic, there's a rumor he would play Arthas from Warcraft one day, so that's awesome as well
They could, but I feel like the Piltover-Zaun set-up is the ideal for character development and story-telling. The themes and the city steampunk environment appeal to a lot of people. I hope I'm wrong and they can make the same high level story telling and character development for other regions of runeterra
@@Nata-ch2bk i have to agree with you on that one, but my absolute dream would be if they did a series about darkin. Like their is so much tropes you can put in there. Famy Drama, political drama, personal drama (with being basically immortal) ect. You get the point.
As someone who is deeply invested in the lore of League, this is everything I ever wanted. Amazing character development, insane world building, answers to questions we had never answers for and so much more. Look Riot higherups that thought Lore was dismissible. Lore DOES matter and if you do it right, people get REALLY (and I mean really) interested in your stories and everything around it.
When watching the second act of arcane, I felt really invested in viktor’s side of the story a lot more than the jinx and vi meet up, it hurt a surprising amount to find out that he was dying, with all his passion and his dedication it felt like they wanted to break the hearts of the viewers and they did a damn good job almost making me shed a tear just over that.
It's even more intense if you know where his story is going. The arm (advertised as a mining tool) is one of his abilities in League that lets him shoot a laser and it's mounted to his back.
What's very weird and impressive is that I don't feel any less sad for him knowing he'll survive. Cause it still looks like torture what he's going through.
I'm just gonna say, the toy boat scene was a MASTERPIECE of characterization. That shit literally made me scream as soon as I saw it, fucking incredible writing without a SINGLE WORD BEING SPOKEN. Godly.
I cried like a baby this act, just like the last one. You feel so invested towards these stories after just 6 episodes. Viktor is definitely my favorite character and will probably continue to be until the end.
When Jinx lighted up the flare and Vi saw it then got dragged off camera by Caitlin, I was so fucking sad because I knew that, game-lore wise, Jinx and Vi were not close... I got devastated when Vi ACTUALLY showed up, because, again, I know that game-lore wise, they are not close... Hell, I have a knot in my throat and I'm lowkey tearing up just writing this. The feels man, the fucking feels.
i agree, however i feel like theyve retconned a lot of past league lore or portrayed them completely differently from what avid loremongerers would expect (e.g take jayce and viktor's stories, did they just ignore skarner's existence etc)

@@potatostarch9363 I don't think Skarner's existence has been ignored, it just not relevant at that point in the timeline. Hextech is only just being invented and ironed out for common use. Even at the current point in the story only Seraphine, Camille, and some other important figures in Piltover that aren't proper characters yet even know what the brackern crystals actually are.
I'm almost positive that the leader of the group that took Caitlyn and Vi is Ekko, like without a shadow of a doubt I think Ekko is the one leading all the attacks against Silco.
The "owl" mask is veeery similar to the mask ekko spied through in thr very first episode. Besides the fireflies symbol is the two triangles, forming an hourglass. Oh and the leader uses a clock at the start, so it may very well be. Besides ekko can't just vanish, he is an important part.
There's also the fact of why he got so emotional when one of his friends was killed by jinx/powder someone he used to have a connection too and him stopping his gang from hurting Vi, and by extension Caitlyn, part of it was definitely because they're silcos enemies and they knew that but whyd they just back off from jinx, it was just her and she was wounded. It's like 95% ekko. It wouldn't make sense if it wasn't
No scene felt like filler, every shot has perfect cinematography and the color palette especially with zaun and piltover's parallelness is so fking great. Ever since breaking bad my standards for a good series has been too high, and I can say that Arcane definitely exceeded mine. At first I was disappointed that they didnt do other stories like zed x jhin in ionia or abt the watchers, but now I see it.
The original trailer didn’t get me exited for the story. I was just excited that they were making “a show”. However after watching that jinx clip the released I got actually excited. But boy I want prepared, I really wasn’t. It’s so fucking good
I know someone may have said it before me, but going back to watch the old Ekko trailer video they released, you now can have so much more of an appreciation for the reason he wants to protect that murial. These episodes are something I LOVE, and I don't use that word lightly, as I have not been soo hyped for a series like this since bloody Re:Zero was airing live. It has been about 5 years, and I have LOVED everything in this series The Art, pacing, character development, and voice acting has been superb and I can't wait to see how this all concludes. As a kind of a viktor main seeing him get the attention I knew he deserved in arcane and seeing so many people say they really like him now is cool af. Im so happy they didnt botch his character and story, way more than I was expecting from riot
Same here, i thought it was going to be 5/10 but, it was a solid 10/10 everything was good. Cant wait for more regions to be shown and eventually therell be a cross over between the regions or some. I think theres way too many characters to fully develop their story so itll take a while but it should be worth it. Damn was it good

Personal Theory (although a lot of people agree on this) - The head of the firelights is Ekko. We know he uses hoverboards in the other stories, and the firelights are trying to destroy Silco. Plus, he doesn’t kill Vi and the enforcer and leaves Powder alone. And to bs honest, Ekko is so popular that it wouldn’t make sense to exclude him for 1/3 of the show.
They just gave Viktor, Jinx, Cait, Vi and Jayce some great personality. What was Cait, Vi and Jinx lore? Cait sheriff, Vi ex criminal, both enforcers now trying to get to crazy Jinx who just wants to make chaos. That was all, and look at them now!!! It's so perfect, I can't stress that enough.
I feel like the next season may be placed in noxus, so far it has been referenced so many times by side characters, meaning g it is one of the many possibilities of noxus being where we may go next. Would lobe to see some more leblanc and swain lore if that's the case
i know right? most people cry to get Ionia but seriously, what could they show us that we don't already know? It's the region with the most clear lore out of them all. And we can't really show the war with the giants since no champions were alive at that time.

The iconography they were using was different, though it probably means it was Noxus during Boram Darkwill's rule; could mean that a potential Noxus season would be the first Ionian invasion, since that's where a ton of champs get started (Riven, Yasuo, Yi, Swain, Darius and Draven) and would be set up super well because Singed plays a major role in how things get so fucked up. I could really see it.

Mainly because I think those two nations have the most popular champions (excluding shadow isles because I don’t see riot putting effort into a show after the ruination event) with about how a show about the noxian invasion, and ideally from the noxian POV although it’s unlikely, would make me think of Anakin and Obi-Wan from the clone war series just blatantly committing war crimes although it would be Darius and draven with swain being the cranky counsellor Lamo. I really liked the contrast between Viktor and Heimerdinger, Heimer telling them to fix their invention so it can be used by the public in a decade, whilr Viktor doesn't have a decade to wait around. Heimer is so well written too he wants the best for his city but sometimes he forgets not everyond is immortal.
I don't even play Adc's but Jinx has always been my favourite character. I love they way they portray her in the show because it's accurate enough to the lore but it's also heartbreaking. I'm torn because on the one hand we want to see Jinx get better, or get redemption, but on the other hand we also want to see her burn the world down. and laugh. All in all, I love Arcane because I like to see our favourite character in t heir own environments.

I remember finishing Act 1 and loving it so much I wanted to rate it a perfect 10/10, something I'd never done before. I rewatched the whole thing again in that same sitting trying to pick apart flaws and there were just no glaring flaws I could find aside from getting extremely nitpicky. Arcane is somehow one of the greatest cinematic masterpieces I have ever seen and it is the first attempt by Riot to do this. If this is how they lead off their cinematic universe, I'm beyond stoked for the future.
Ekko’s totally the leader of the fire lights, he even wears the mask that he spied on Vander and Grayson’s conversation through in episode 1. Plus he/she’s a tech savvy person for sure.

Riot actually did what we all wanted: Turning Imagine Dragons into Characters of Runeterra... ... Uhm, i mean making a series with the quality of their cinematics. Anyways, they did both pretty well
The Imagine Dragons part is honestly the only part I have disliked about the show so far. Like, sure, make them characters, but when they were actually in the show singing the song while they did normal stuff, it just totally broke the immersion for me.
As I understand it, ID are players and fans of LoL and have had a working relationship for a long time, several seasons ago. was it S7 i think? S8? I forget, but they've been in the back pocket for a some time.
@@randomuserame yeah, they used their music all the time. I'm fine with them being characters, but I thought the in-episode concert where they're playing cards or whatever but also singing the song was extremely cheesy and just didn't fit into the flow of the show.

These episodes were so emotionally packed. Jinx and Vi's short lived reunion, Viktor's health, Heimen being kicked out by Jayce... my heart can't take all of this at once hahaha
I am enjoying this entire experience, the trailers set specific expectations that the show subverts in the best way possible. It has been a thrill ride and I am just glad to watch it unfold
It's phenomenal. One of my friend from back in the day wanted a series 7 years ago when we used to play league together. He was a fan of lore and even though he hates the game, he loved arcane. That's how good it is and how accurate to the actual lore it is. It truly is a masterpiece.
The answer is no. It blew expectations out of the water. It honestly is one of the best animated stories i've ever seen. Even if you don't like/play league, it's incredible. You care for characters that aren't even league champions. Vander and Silco are amazing.
People that know the lore give it mostly a 8 or 9. But im pretty sure people that never knew about league and people that dont care about the lore give it a 10 out of 10 because of the good quality
The juxtaposing lives of Jayce and Viktor is so fucking brilliant man, Viktor is still an assistant and he is in the shadows so much that mel almost seemed like she herself didn’t care about his help or him as a person when Jayce comes to her and says “I didn’t know you were so close to him@
I honestly just hope they expand on the show and keep making episodes. Just dedicate a team or two to this show and make sure the balance team stays out of it and they'll be fine
Arcane blew me out of the water too. I only recently got into League of Legends, and for me to Major pole was all of the work that they've done in recent years on their lore. There's some genuinely great storytelling there. And it is incredibly gratifying to see them put it to even better use in the show 💛
As someone who struggles with severe mental health issues,Jinx is a character I can relate to heavily. From not knowing what's real, to seeing things hearing things. It feels like you're so far ahead of yourself that you're running in circles.
I just finished episode 6 like not even 10 minutes ago and I’m still choked up on that reunion. Like for me the small jesters the characters make convey SO MUCH emotion. I feel every single emotional beat so deeply. I just... it’s so good.
The one thing I do fear is that. Viewers will look at Arcane as the standard, so if they bring more shows out. I'll hear 9 out of 10 times. Is it better than Arcane. (As it's set an high standard.)
Could you blame them? For a decade, a ton of people were looking for an adaptation that they could look forward to. All these companies had to do is watch and supervise their IPs, but none did that unlike Riot who actually had their hands deep in the development of Arcane.
Batch 2 wasn't as riveting as Batch 1, IMO, since i think it's more used to set up act 3, rather than be an independent prologue like Batch 1. This just means we have to wait with anticipation for act 3.
You explaining Vi and jinx and how that little girl is mainly dead and Vi realizing her actions really made me begin to tear up because it was done so beautifully that you felt that gut wrench 🔧
I also like the scene where hiemerdinger sees the arcane core and is terrified. Then he tells victor hes different, I'm pretty sure yordles can sense magic in other people so victor was most likely corrupted by that point.
@@lilacsblossom one of the episodes of act 2 has a scene with "enemy" playing in the background and the background characters are all part of the imagine dragons band literally playing they song. Edit: You can identify them 'cause they also appear in the enemy music video doing the same thing, playing the song.
One thing I don't see many people talking about that often is the animation. I get it, the story and writing are so good that people really want to talk about it but I feel like the animation is under appreciated. All the details on the characters and backgrounds, the movement, facial expression, colors, the way every character looks completely unique when it comes to face and body, even the way they have "imperfections" like scars, rough skin or small tooth gaps...it just makes everything feel so much more real and impressive. To me Arcane is honestly the best 3D animated show of the decade. Nothing I've watched so far can top it.
I think the most impressive part is how Arcane doesn't require any knowledge about League at all. I know a lot of people that didn't know shit about League and loved every second of Arcane. Every character feels so well developed, but in a way that lets you know them of you didn't, but doesn't feel boring or redundant if you did. The story is fantastic, the attention to detail is impeccable and it's extremely entertaining for every second of it. Can't wait for the final arc, and hope we get more series like these, based on different parts of League lore
Arcane shows how well thought and designed was the old league lore compared to the new stories, just imagine them doing the show about seraphine or lillia or any other recent character. They used to care about their world now its just a moneyheist

Bro this series had me f*cked me up so bad that I 100% thought that Jinx was just having a hallucinations when she finally sees Vi, that while mid-hug it will skip and show Jinx alone. I thought that Jinx was mixing copium with her schizophrenia because of how brutal this show has been 💀💀💀
What excites me most about Arcane is how it opens the door for future stories. The League universe is brimming with interesting conflicts and interesting characters: The mage rebellion in Demacia, the Noxian invasion of Ionia, the return of Azir in Shurima, the Watchers... _Just everything about the Watchers._ The list goes on.
There's this sentiment in the community lately that Riot's going to end up becoming the next disney. And while I agree to that to a degree, I still think Riot is a great company. Change my mind.
They make great products, but calling them a great company is kinda meh, hence the sexual herassment in the company, let alone some business decisions that were...ruination

They have a goldmine of tv and even movies with all the lore theyve built up through the years. They could EASILY do like 10 seasons of arcane based on the different regions
It's crazy how much it blew me away. I don't give much about critics, but getting 100% Critic score AND 98% Audience score on Rottentomatoes and one of the highest ratings ever on imdb just shows what masterpiece this series is. And that is a word that should never be used lightly.
I’m amazed at how well so much of the foreshadowing is handled for people who already know the lore. It gives them little things they can get giddy over throughout the show, like jayce putting down his mug and obstructing viktor from view, or the pocketwatch and scarf of the leader of the Firelights (which, POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING, heavily implies he is ekko).
As you and others have said. It's good because it's focused on telling everyone's stories well and in a well-paced manner. It doesn't waste time. Nearly every single moment progresses the story in some way. But in those moments, they manage to hide easter eggs here and there for fans to find. And while it's not the most well hidden, my favorite so far was the Kindred mask when Vi and Cait visit the brothel for info.
Will post this on reddit but I noticed that Silco said, "I killed a weak one that day, and another was reborn". And u could say this happened to multiple people too. In some ways, life finds a way to fk u up that it kills u, or leaves something else. Jayce betrayed Heimer, blinded by his righteous goals of fixing the city Viktor realizes that he is still an assistant, even in his nearing death Vi still regrets her actions Heck even Marcus has one, trying his best to fill in the shoes of that previous captain, you can see the stress going into him when he imagined killing himself Powder dies when she killed her loved ones, and what was born was someone who had to cope with everything by accepting that she really is a curse, Jinx.
Arcane did not met my expections because I don't expect any out of the show. But god damn this show easily will go down to one of the best I've ever seen in my whole life.
honestly, for me... it exceeded them. It's so good that i could not only feel the smell of greasy money bills, but also taste them. Absolutely stunning. The pacing is tightest i've seen in any sort of medium. Be it a show, a movie, game or something like manga. Only recent DUNE comes even relatively close when it comes to pacing.
honestly the sheer depths, that riot explored into jinx's mental illness is SO DEEP AND RAW, very few shows would be brave enough to touch base on those subjects, LET ALONE, delve into as heavy as they they have, its dark, its emotional and its not a childrens story and the fact that riot took the adult content route of telling their story, has added so many layers.
I would love it if they did a 9 ep Targon story centered around what being human truly is ( maybe targon tribes and with atreus backstory all the way from being possessed by pantheon and his view after recovering it back )
Fuuuuck man, the moment we first see viktor after the time skip broke me allmost instantly, because it reminded me of his eventual future. The show is so well written that it pushes all of my knowledge of the lore to the back of my mind only to tear my hearth out when they foreshadow what is going to happen eventually. GOD I LOVE THIS SERIES

I'm just gonna say, the toy boat scene was a MASTERPIECE of characterization. That shit literally made me scream as soon as I saw it, fucking incredible writing without a SINGLE WORD BEING SPOKEN. Godly.
The hex core shenanigans with Viktor was the most interesting thing going on for me and I got mad when they cut away from it
Same, viktors story is the one that im most interested about right now.
Stories with multiple characters or soap opera feel can be interesting. But it’s so annoying when you just want that specific characters story now.
With Viktor always having been one of my favorite champions I'm really hoping for the next arc to show him actually making the change.

I cried like a baby this act, just like the last one. You feel so invested towards these stories after just 6 episodes. Viktor is definitely my favorite character and will probably continue to be until the end.
When Jinx lighted up the flare and Vi saw it then got dragged off camera by Caitlin, I was so fucking sad because I knew that, game-lore wise, Jinx and Vi were not close... I got devastated when Vi ACTUALLY showed up, because, again, I know that game-lore wise, they are not close... Hell, I have a knot in my throat and I'm lowkey tearing up just writing this. The feels man, the fucking feels.

@@potatostarch9363 I don't think Skarner's existence has been ignored, it just not relevant at that point in the timeline. Hextech is only just being invented and ironed out for common use. Even at the current point in the story only Seraphine, Camille, and some other important figures in Piltover that aren't proper characters yet even know what the brackern crystals actually are.
I'm almost positive that the leader of the group that took Caitlyn and Vi is Ekko, like without a shadow of a doubt I think Ekko is the one leading all the attacks against Silco.
Not sure if he is the leader, but i'm willing to bet the guy that grabbed the hex crystal is ekko
The "owl" mask is veeery similar to the mask ekko spied through in thr very first episode. Besides the fireflies symbol is the two triangles, forming an hourglass. Oh and the leader uses a clock at the start, so it may very well be. Besides ekko can't just vanish, he is an important part.
The VA for the Firelight leader is the same as Ekko from the LoR's Piltover & Zaun cinematic.
There's also the fact of why he got so emotional when one of his friends was killed by jinx/powder someone he used to have a connection too and him stopping his gang from hurting Vi, and by extension Caitlyn, part of it was definitely because they're silcos enemies and they knew that but whyd they just back off from jinx, it was just her and she was wounded. It's like 95% ekko. It wouldn't make sense if it wasn't

No scene felt like filler, every shot has perfect cinematography and the color palette especially with zaun and piltover's parallelness is so fking great. Ever since breaking bad my standards for a good series has been too high, and I can say that Arcane definitely exceeded mine.
At first I was disappointed that they didnt do other stories like zed x jhin in ionia or abt the watchers, but now I see it.
The original trailer didn’t get me exited for the story. I was just excited that they were making “a show”. However after watching that jinx clip the released I got actually excited. But boy I want prepared, I really wasn’t. It’s so fucking good

I know someone may have said it before me, but going back to watch the old Ekko trailer video they released, you now can have so much more of an appreciation for the reason he wants to protect that murial. These episodes are something I LOVE, and I don't use that word lightly, as I have not been soo hyped for a series like this since bloody Re:Zero was airing live. It has been about 5 years, and I have LOVED everything in this series The Art, pacing, character development, and voice acting has been superb and I can't wait to see how this all concludes. Keep it u Skooch, I can't wait to see what you have to say at then end of this journey.

Same here, i thought it was going to be 5/10 but, it was a solid 10/10 everything was good. Cant wait for more regions to be shown and eventually therell be a cross over between the regions or some. I think theres way too many characters to fully develop their story so itll take a while but it should be worth it. Damn was it good

Personal Theory (although a lot of people agree on this) - The head of the firelights is Ekko. We know he uses hoverboards in the other stories, and the firelights are trying to destroy Silco. Plus, he doesn’t kill Vi and the enforcer and leaves Powder alone. And to bs honest, Ekko is so popular that it wouldn’t make sense to exclude him for 1/3 of the show.

I feel like the next season may be placed in noxus, so far it has been referenced so many times by side characters, meaning g it is one of the many possibilities of noxus being where we may go next. Would lobe to see some more leblanc and swain lore if that's the case

The iconography they were using was different, though it probably means it was Noxus during Boram Darkwill's rule; could mean that a potential Noxus season would be the first Ionian invasion, since that's where a ton of champs get started (Riven, Yasuo, Yi, Swain, Darius and Draven) and would be set up super well because Singed plays a major role in how things get so fucked up. I could really see it.

I really liked the contrast between Viktor and Heimerdinger, Heimer telling them to fix their invention so it can be used by the public in a decade, whilr Viktor doesn't have a decade to wait around. Heimer is so well written too he wants the best for his city but sometimes he forgets not everyond is immortal.
I don't even play Adc's but Jinx has always been my favourite character. I love they way they portray her in the show because it's accurate enough to the lore but it's also heartbreaking. I'm torn because on the one hand we want to see Jinx get better, or get redemption, but on the other hand we also want to see her burn the world down. and laugh. All in all, I love Arcane because I like to see our favourite character in t heir own environments.

PTSD triple kill flashbacks
I remember finishing Act 1 and loving it so much I wanted to rate it a perfect 10/10, something I'd never done before. I rewatched the whole thing again in that same sitting trying to pick apart flaws and there were just no glaring flaws I could find aside from getting extremely nitpicky. Arcane is somehow one of the greatest cinematic masterpieces I have ever seen and it is the first attempt by Riot to do this. If this is how they lead off their cinematic universe, I'm beyond stoked for the future.

The Imagine Dragons part is honestly the only part I have disliked about the show so far. Like, sure, make them characters, but when they were actually in the show singing the song while they did normal stuff, it just totally broke the immersion for me.
As I understand it, ID are players and fans of LoL and have had a working relationship for a long time, several seasons ago. was it S7 i think? S8? I forget, but they've been in the back pocket for a some time.
@@randomuserame yeah, they used their music all the time. I'm fine with them being characters, but I thought the in-episode concert where they're playing cards or whatever but also singing the song was extremely cheesy and just didn't fit into the flow of the show.

It's phenomenal. One of my friend from back in the day wanted a series 7 years ago when we used to play league together. He was a fan of lore and even though he hates the game, he loved arcane. That's how good it is and how accurate to the actual lore it is. It truly is a masterpiece.

The answer is no. It blew expectations out of the water. It honestly is one of the best animated stories i've ever seen. Even if you don't like/play league, it's incredible. You care for characters that aren't even league champions. Vander and Silco are amazing.
People that know the lore give it mostly a 8 or 9. But im pretty sure people that never knew about league and people that dont care about the lore give it a 10 out of 10 because of the good quality
The juxtaposing lives of Jayce and Viktor is so fucking brilliant man, Viktor is still an assistant and he is in the shadows so much that mel almost seemed like she herself didn’t care about his help or him as a person when Jayce comes to her and says “I didn’t know you were so close to him@
I honestly just hope they expand on the show and keep making episodes. Just dedicate a team or two to this show and make sure the balance team stays out of it and they'll be fine

Arcane blew me out of the water too. I only recently got into League of Legends, and for me to Major pole was all of the work that they've done in recent years on their lore. There's some genuinely great storytelling there. And it is incredibly gratifying to see them put it to even better use in the show 💛

I just finished episode 6 like not even 10 minutes ago and I’m still choked up on that reunion. Like for me the small jesters the characters make convey SO MUCH emotion. I feel every single emotional beat so deeply. I just... it’s so good.

Could you blame them? For a decade, a ton of people were looking for an adaptation that they could look forward to. All these companies had to do is watch and supervise their IPs, but none did that unlike Riot who actually had their hands deep in the development of Arcane.

Batch 2 wasn't as riveting as Batch 1, IMO, since i think it's more used to set up act 3, rather than be an independent prologue like Batch 1. This just means we have to wait with anticipation for act 3.
Yeah, act II had much less focus than act I. Juggling so many characters became a little bit messy.

I also like the scene where hiemerdinger sees the arcane core and is terrified. Then he tells victor hes different, I'm pretty sure yordles can sense magic in other people so victor was most likely corrupted by that point.

One thing I don't see many people talking about that often is the animation. I get it, the story and writing are so good that people really want to talk about it but I feel like the animation is under appreciated.
All the details on the characters and backgrounds, the movement, facial expression, colors, the way every character looks completely unique when it comes to face and body, even the way they have "imperfections" like scars, rough skin or small tooth gaps...it just makes everything feel so much more real and impressive.
To me Arcane is honestly the best 3D animated show of the decade. Nothing I've watched so far can top it.

I think the most impressive part is how Arcane doesn't require any knowledge about League at all. I know a lot of people that didn't know shit about League and loved every second of Arcane. Every character feels so well developed, but in a way that lets you know them of you didn't, but doesn't feel boring or redundant if you did. The story is fantastic, the attention to detail is impeccable and it's extremely entertaining for every second of it. Can't wait for the final arc, and hope we get more series like these, based on different parts of League lore
Arcane shows how well thought and designed was the old league lore compared to the new stories, just imagine them doing the show about seraphine or lillia or any other recent character. They used to care about their world now its just a moneyheist

It's listed as season 1 so I'm guessing there will be more seasons, but what they'll be about, who knows.
What excites me most about Arcane is how it opens the door for future stories. The League universe is brimming with interesting conflicts and interesting characters: The mage rebellion in Demacia, the Noxian invasion of Ionia, the return of Azir in Shurima, the Watchers... _Just everything about the Watchers._ The list goes on.
There's this sentiment in the community lately that Riot's going to end up becoming the next disney. And while I agree to that to a degree, I still think Riot is a great company. Change my mind.
They make great products, but calling them a great company is kinda meh, hence the sexual herassment in the company, let alone some business decisions that were...ruination

They have a goldmine of tv and even movies with all the lore theyve built up through the years. They could EASILY do like 10 seasons of arcane based on the different regions
It's crazy how much it blew me away. I don't give much about critics, but getting 100% Critic score AND 98% Audience score on Rottentomatoes and one of the highest ratings ever on imdb just shows what masterpiece this series is. And that is a word that should never be used lightly.

In just 6 episodes arcane made me cry, i haven't cried to a movie since Marley and me.
As you and others have said. It's good because it's focused on telling everyone's stories well and in a well-paced manner. It doesn't waste time. Nearly every single moment progresses the story in some way. But in those moments, they manage to hide easter eggs here and there for fans to find. And while it's not the most well hidden, my favorite so far was the Kindred mask when Vi and Cait visit the brothel for info.

Powder dies when she killed her loved ones, and what was born was someone who had to cope with everything by accepting that she really is a curse, Jinx.

The pacing is tightest i've seen in any sort of medium. Be it a show, a movie, game or something like manga. Only recent DUNE comes even relatively close when it comes to pacing.

honestly the sheer depths, that riot explored into jinx's mental illness is SO DEEP AND RAW, very few shows would be brave enough to touch base on those subjects, LET ALONE, delve into as heavy as they they have,
its dark, its emotional and its not a childrens story and the fact that riot took the adult content route of telling their story, has added so many layers.
They pay off of powder's light gun is so satisfying that I got teary-eyed during the montage
I would love it if they did a 9 ep Targon story centered around what being human truly is ( maybe targon tribes and with atreus backstory all the way from being possessed by pantheon and his view after recovering it back )
Fuuuuck man, the moment we first see viktor after the time skip broke me allmost instantly, because it reminded me of his eventual future. The show is so well written that it pushes all of my knowledge of the lore to the back of my mind only to tear my hearth out when they foreshadow what is going to happen eventually. GOD I LOVE THIS SERIES
