there was a time where i was playing yuumi top and started winning my lane somehow, won the game cause the enemy team was really pissed at their toplaner and started griefing
Yuumi is definitely the safest solo laner. I main her as a tank and she never dies. i average 5/1/10 every game. or just got 10/0 and carry. But those stats are useless if your team falls behind and they can't catch up.
Vex is quite safe as long as you don't use her passive, which may work against her since you will seldom use her abilities and then do no damage. Still, she is a decent counter to many mobility-dash midlane champions like the fucking wind brothers Yasuo and Yone, especially Yone, which in retrospective fills me with joy.
She counters mages and marksmen since she attacks them like an assasin by engaging and diving them, she counters assasins and anything with mobility. And she is even a pain for tanks and bruisers that ar supposed to be her biggest counters. She really feels overpowered and super fucking annoying.

If she goes in and doesnt kill the target (especially after the durability changes) or the enemy uses zhonyas shes useless. She currently has a 47% winrate and shes almost never blinded

Vex is like cassiopeia with the difference she is just less niche and specialized while being more of a general pick. I just looked at the top 3 sites that popped up on google and vex's winrate is 48.5 % + very close to 49% in all ranks around the world. Still the point that she is obnoxious still stands.

Every control mage with a reasonably powerful ult can counter "mages and marksmen by diving them". Can't even roam since he wave clears about as quickly as you do. At the end of the day, Vex has the exact same weakness as all of those other mages too. If she doesn't get well ahead of the item curve and start one shotting people, then she kinda just ints. "tanks and bruisers that ar supposed to be her biggest counters" Now this is just a straight up lie. Even before the durability patch with unnerfed void staff, Vex did nothing to tanks. And bruisers have death's dance which makes them basically immortal. And now that it's post durability patch, her win rate is sub 50% outside of masters+ with a rapidly declining pick/ban rate. So if you still think she's over powered, then you're just unironically wrong.
I personally like her very much, curiously I am an artillery mage main, and every time I get matched against a super mobile opponent I pick her. Unlike skooch I don’t see her as « an easy mode to an easy mode » I see her as « a solution to an unsurpassable issue ».
I pick Malzahar as an even safer pick when my enemy mid laner counters Vex. - has literal spell immunity as a passive - can farm the lane without even being in the lane - voidlings can block so many skillshots and targeted abilities
Don't Malzahar and Vex have a bit of an overlap with their good and bad matchups, though? I suppose Malz is generally safer in bad matchups due to his passive, his safe and easy waveclear with E and W, his insane gank setup, and the fact that his ult doesn't force him into melee range. But as someone who mostly plays long range poke mages or Aurelion Sol, I'm always happy with both the Vex and the Malz matchup. With the former, it's all about playing around cooldowns and dodging skillshots, while with the latter, it's all about keeping the passive shield down, killing voidlings fast, and avoiding the allied minions that have the DoT on them.
imo vex is just overtunded, her kit is ok and she was meant to be an easy to learn disruptor/controll mage. A bit of number adjusting and she will be fine again. will she ever be a high risk high reward hard to master champ imo never but it isnt her job either. but i gotta admit she can be annoying cuz she is so safe in every single matchup
Shes emo annie. Shield, poke ability, cc on her passive and a wide but not as much damage ability. Then big burst combo with her r with a bonus effect afterwards (reset or Tibbers). There are differences ofc and they feel different af to play with vex having more mobility and longer poke whilst annie is better at close range. But the basic concept of 'safe and easy to play mage' is the same.
Long range matchups really hurt her actually. Zed( if played correctly and not like almost all zeds play him) syndra, xerath, etc etc. They all win against her because she actually doesnt have range. She needs to commit to an engage to have that range.
I just think she's strong in solo queue - where people don't know that dodging her ult makes her essentially useless. If one person gets hit though it's ez R -> W - > E > Q rinse repeat, and the next ult reset is a shorter range skillshot and easier to hit so it snowballs

I must ask, since she is one of only 3 champions I ever ban, does she require skill at all? (She is also my 2nd least played champion, and one of only 5 I have less than 100 games in) Edit: Decided to clarify, the three champions are Blitzcrank, Samira & Vex, in that order. Reasons being; 1) Sometimes I just don't feel like playing around Blitzcranks hook. (I main Support, my ADC friend sucks ass at dodging skillshots) 2) Though it's doable, it can get boring playing around that 360 windwall in champions that have purely missile-abilities. 3) Whenever I see Vex mid, my mid feeds 0/13 then she just starts coming botlane and one shotting us.
@@niero4201 If you waste your Fear, your damage drops by like over 200. Your E and Q are slow despite being long-ranged. If you burn your W too early, you have no protection. Without your Fear, the only CC you have is a weak slow. Her ratios are actually low with her highest damage AP ratio being 60%. After the durability patch, if you do not land all your abilities, it's difficult to kill someone. She sucks against bruisers or tanky champs. Her only low CD ability is her Q. While her ult CD and cost get refunded, her other CDs and her Fear don't so if you're not careful and brainlessly try and multi-ult, you will do less damage and have no CC due to your Fear being down. There's more I can mention, but I think this covers most of it. Skooch likes to exaggerate so he just writes her off as brainless and OP without actually pointing out her glaring weaknesses.
fear into root is more valuable for the team and also allows for a second q in her combo, which is worth more with the durability update than extra damage upfront with ludens

Play with bots on custom games, may not sound fun at first but there are many challenges that you can do which would be a lot of fun. My favorite one so far is this: You can pick any champion but it is a 1v5 against the following intermediate level bot champions, Caitlyn, morgana, alistar, veigar and lux. You could change them up if you think another lineup may be harder, I’d be happy to hear suggestions. Nevertheless, try to beat this challange in the shortest time possible. I have only been able to win with my otp heimerdinger so far, I am sure it is possible in other ways though it is challenging.

you either get a bot lane that is their identity and crush it or they were randomly clicking on icons and somehow managed to log into league of legends.
@@Keurgui1 2 dashes, a shield (2 shields if he has Shieldbow), spirit form and 2 knock ups. Vex and other control mages of only one/two cc abilities with no dashes for escaping.

Yone can use his ult for a dash/knock up, his W gives a shield that scales with the amount of people he hits, his Q is a dash with a knock up that procs on hit effects and his spirit form can be used before engaging and jump back to lane. Yone also has no mana/energy to worry about so staying in lane is very easy. He also rushes berserk boots meaning he moves faster than most Champs when a chase is involved. If that wasn't bad enough Yone has double crit meaning after 2 critical items his power spike is greatly increased. He continues to scale no matter how bad or great he plays.

Only a top/jungle main can pretend that mages, especially control mages, are low risk high reward. And to be fair, i understand that as a mage, farming under turret all game could be enough to make you useful past 25 minutes. Nevertheless, LoL is a game, and I am supposed to try to have fun. Farming under turret for 30 minutes ain't fun. And only then your hell starts. Picking an assassin mage with really high range mobility is not a good representation of what a control mage game is. A xerath or Vel'koz game would be more representative imo
As a certified mage abuser I can tell you that whenever I play Vex I am fucking astounded at the amount of privilege she has over other mages. Top tier champ shit. The main part that sucks about mages is that you can't force advantage. So when you lose you just kind of sit there waiting to be engaged on and stuff. But Vex both has the ability to counter said engage, but she can also engage herself. Legit cracked champion.
I feel so dirty playing Vex. I once got a quadruple with her but I WASNT LOOKING AT MYSELF, I WAS LOOKING AT OTHER CHAMPIONS FIGHTING AND PRESSING BUTTONS RANDOMLY . I WAS SO CONFUSED.

Vex and other control mages of only one/two cc abilities with no dashes for escaping.
@@tanoshichannel2012 I can think of 10 mid laners safer than Yone. It’s not about having dashes, Vex only ever puts herself in danger when she ults meanwhile Yone has to stay on top of you to deal damage
@@Keurgui1 Vex is in danger if her fear and shield are on cooldown. Yone can use his ult for a dash/knock up, his W gives a shield that scales with the amount of people he hits, his Q is a dash with a knock up that procs on hit effects and his spirit form can be used before engaging and jump back to lane. Yone also has no mana/energy to worry about so staying in lane is very easy. He also rushes berserk boots meaning he moves faster than most Champs when a chase is involved.
If that wasn't bad enough Yone has double crit meaning after 2 critical items his power spike is greatly increased. He continues to scale no matter how bad or great he plays.
@@tanoshichannel2012 Vex is ranged so her having fear doesn’t mean she’s not safe she just has to not be caught in the first place. Which is less likely to happen than in Yone’s case
None of that has to do with keeping him safe this is just you going off on why you hate Yone and I’m not here for it so peace lmao. Any champ can rush boots and most of his mobility requires him to commit to a play first (IE charge Q or use his E)

Only a top/jungle main can pretend that mages, especially control mages, are low risk high reward.
And to be fair, i understand that as a mage, farming under turret all game could be enough to make you useful past 25 minutes. Nevertheless, LoL is a game, and I am supposed to try to have fun. Farming under turret for 30 minutes ain't fun. And only then your hell starts.
Picking an assassin mage with really high range mobility is not a good representation of what a control mage game is. A xerath or Vel'koz game would be more representative imo

As a certified mage abuser I can tell you that whenever I play Vex I am fucking astounded at the amount of privilege she has over other mages. Top tier champ shit. The main part that sucks about mages is that you can't force advantage. So when you lose you just kind of sit there waiting to be engaged on and stuff. But Vex both has the ability to counter said engage, but she can also engage herself. Legit cracked champion.
I feel so dirty playing Vex. I once got a quadruple with her but I WASNT LOOKING AT MYSELF, I WAS LOOKING AT OTHER CHAMPIONS FIGHTING AND PRESSING BUTTONS RANDOMLY . I WAS SO CONFUSED.
