@invisible0tom The only thing I have found slower is changing the channel. The screen turns black for like 2 seconds when changing the channel. Apart from that, the menus etc are slightly faster than the old V+... Its definitely worth it!
I've recently switched from sky to virgin because I was fed up with sky's useless broadband speed. Whilst the box is very good in principle the user environment could be a lot better and I find myself having to press through many button functions to do something which could in principle be done in one or 2. For instance they make a good option by placing series in folders, but the ability to delete an entire folder is not there and you have to go in and delete programs individually.
so is sky..virgin charge around £50 for their package and sky charges around £80-90...i have had family who were sky costumiers for years but went on to virgin for half the price and they say that the HD and internet is quicker..but like i say it's like xbox and ps3 fans.no one will win the war
I have a 1TB TiVo box from Virgin, and I have to say, it is BRILLIANT! Nice little insight from Jon here for anyone who doesn't have it... :-)

Looks to have some good features
I like the thing that Virgin's TiVo box provides and am wondering why Sky is lagging this area as if Sky did something like this would be great.

i have the 1tb box and its exelent
Sky still has more channels though but VM has faster BB....just waiting on Fibre Optic from BT
it is good box but bit slow to navigate
My Virgin HD+ box is a clunky, sluggish mess, this can only be an improvement
Hate the monopoly that sky have on tv & sports so if i can give my money to someone else and still get a great service then this is great.
This is no use to me as Virgin don't cover Clacton at all so have to have Sky HD only.

I got this box. Compared to sky this tivo box is rubbish. Still a bit trial and error
