I've just had the Virgin 360 box, the installation booklet is so easy to understand, I installed it myself from the Tivo box, in the box you'll have everything you need including the light-up remote to install, you then call Vigin and they will register your box from their end, job done! I'm no engineer but just read the instructions and match up the photo's. My TV pictures appear to be more crisp too. I'm liking it right now👍ThIs guy's review is spot-on to be fair
I find it exciting to watch British TV technology. if something new is brought out in the UK, it always comes 1 year later in Germany. For us, Vodafone is the cable TV provider and our product is called Giga TV. At sky Germany, what you have already had for a year always comes to us. SO it was with sky Q. On April 1st, we will also receive the Sky Comedy and SKy crime channels in Germany. You Brits are always 1 to 2 years ahead of us in TV technology. No recycle bin on VM360, so go careful when deleting recordings, as once you confirm it, there's no recovery option. I don't know if this will be added in a future update or not.

What a great review. Up until 6 months ago I was paying over £200 for Sky Q and one box (+ Virgin Media Broad Band). I decided to go back to VM after several years and saved a packet. My new 360 box plus two mini boxes arrive today. I have also upgraded to the ultimate oomph package all for £105 pm. The best thing is my son will port his mobile over to the VM sim (EE) which I wont be using to give him a far better package and save £20 pm. Looking at this review this is as near as what I have been hoping for about 10 years VM would do to improve and in many areas overtake SKY Q. I love the profiles which will be perfect now my son is working from home for the forseable future. I'm hoping it will be able to handle Dolby Atmos ok. Again, brilliant review and thank you.
Really? I was paying £65 for Sky Q with every chanel, sports, movies etc.., UHD, and Netflix ultimate... and multiroom with SKY the only reason I've switched to virgin is because I can only get virgin broadband in my area and its only £5 more to add the TV.
You were paying £200 for Sky Q? I got Sky Q earlier this year and I only pay £66 per month. Before getting Sky Q I didn't know i was out of contract I always thought my original contract would continue as is how wrong I was. So I decided to go into the Sky shop to see what i could get. They told me about the different packages and prices and I was surprised to find that my Sky Q package was £30 cheaper than what I was paying when I was out of package. As part of my package I have the movie channels I'm not interested in the sports channels. I have Netflix, Paramount, Peacock, and other apps. I must say I am impressed with Sky Q. I'm still with Virgin again earlier this year I renewed my contract as with Sky I didn't know I was out of contract I was paying quite a bit of money so I decided to call them and see what they could offer and I was impressed with what they offered I decided to keep the tv, internet and phone all for £50 per month and I still get the movie channels. I think I have V6 box which is just as good what Iike with the Virgin tv guide you can scroll back to see what was on before and watch from the beginning I don't think you can do that with Sky. I have to admit i am loyal to both companies. With Virgin I have been with them since 2001 when my mum took on Virgin inherited my mums contract in 2018 and decided to keep both packages only downside is if I to switch to Sky broadband it would cost more than what I am paying right now so it's cheaper to pay 2 companies for my tv and Internet.
Great review. You're the first one to do a review of this on TH-cam. I love the UI of the system, but the main reason I won't be upgrading from the V6 is because I lose my recordings. It also has no Wishlist feature.
@@aaroncherry5594 if you get a capture card device then you can archive anything stored on a virgin or sky box. eg Alliance Cloner box Pro wich has an hdmi input and you record stuff in real time which gets turned into an mp4 file on your computer. Then put the file onto a normal portable hard drive and plug this into a modern tv/"media player and Robert will be the brother of your mother...
Eventually, you won't have any choice and will have to migrate to VM360, because VM and TiVo's arrangement is coming to an end and is not being renewed. So, at some point in the near future, VM will no longer be able to use the custom TiVo licensed software on any of their boxes (or its remote, which is why they send you a new one when your V6 box is updated to VM360). The main reason I'm not interested in VM360 at the moment is the lack of being able to select new episodes only as a series link option. Currently, series links record everything, so lots of disk space being used up unnecessarily and manual management to work around it.
For existing customers it seems they just upgrade the software in your existing V6 box now and send you the new remote. I was interested to know the PHYSICAL differences of the two boxes though...Does it have '360' graphics or anything. New Customers get the 'New' box with the new software pre-installed and the remote, I just want to know if the '360' Box is actually different to the 'V6' or is it just the software inside and updating your V6 makes it a 360 box?
It has a wishlist option to add movies or shows into a wishlist that can be found when you go into "saved" menu , I've added some movies in there which we had on the old box but now only available to buy , I need to keep checking to see if these get updated and if going to show on sky movies or an other channel then have option to record from that channel showing it? Example is the movie "Elf" , not showing on any channel but can be purchased from viegin store , I've put that on wishlist as assume somewhere going to show it at Christmas time.
Just this week switched over from being a Sky customer of 30 years and one of the first adopters to SkyQ. I rate the 360 box highly, the user face isn’t as intuitive as the SkyQ but the performance and the start over features are better IMO. Picture quality when using the built in apps for Netflix and Prime are also much better on the 360 box. The price I paid for the ultimate volt package ( or whatever it’s called ) which includes a mini box, 1TB broadband, along with the full tv package consisting of sports and movies is a mere £64. 😎
I’ve got even better news, Virgin applied a £4 per month discount which I thought was included in the £64 per month…… It wasn’t. It’s now £60 per month.🥳
Thanks for doing this. My 84 year old mother manages the old style interface on the Tivo quite well. I'm wondering if the voice activated function might work well for her. Any thoughts on how friendly or un friendly this new box would be for an elderly person with hand arthritis?
Am I the only one whi hates the Age Restriction / Pin Code fiasco with the system ???? I live alone and havint o put in a pin code every effin time I want to watch a bloody movie is driving me nuts. It's not only the channel.......it's EVERY FECHIN MOVIE. The tivo system was way better than this for conrrolling access.........hopefully VIRGIN, if they check this sort of review will issue an UPDATE to sort it out.........GET IT FIXED...
Have found out this today - "There are two things that have happened recently The first customer pilot replaced any existing TV kit with the new customer experience which is 1 main HDD box and any additional boxes are the 360 mini boxes. There is now another customer pilot. That is where some existing customers with V6 boxes are being offered an upgrade where the boxes are converted to 360. And new remote being sent to customers. Both of these are invite only. As yet there hasn't been confirmation as to which option will be available for existing customers for the 360 when it becomes a normal upgrade that you can ask for." I assume early 2021 V6 customers will have a general update/upgrade notice.
I have the v6 box with the free view channels only plus 360mb broadband and landline. I use an Apple TV 4K for net flicks and Now TV. I like the look of the 360 box though, I guess I will have to wait until they roll out to everyone. I don’t need the sim in the ultimate bundle either. Looks like a good upgrade though. Think they are rolling out boxes now as they state there new top packages come with the 360 box and even top package comes with extra multi room box. If using apple tv I think performance wise be better on the apple tv to the 360 box. Think choice be more about monthly cost between the 2

Hi Aaron when you go it recordings just say if you were in you were watching the box in the bedroom is there section saying other box like what they have had on the previous boxes so you can watch recordings from say from your livingroom box in your bedroom or your any recordings from bedroom box in living room
I know the new seprate boxes dont have hard drives so wont be able to record on those , just the main box. Not sure about v3 boxes if you have more then one in house ?

So, I have a V6 box upstairs AND downstairs, will they also send me out a mini so i can get tv in the other spare room in my house? I think they are just sending me remotes out? but a mini would have been good in the spare room, also, does the mini require cable run from the virgin main box or is this just wifi?
When I set up my Dad's 360 box it didn't download the software properly so you can't record or do anything apart from watching programmes live. So the Virgin engineer has to come out.
Is there a way of getting a different style of guide? I used to be able to pick a channel and have that entire day in a vertical list instead of the horizontal grid sryle that takes ages to look through. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😊

Hi again - just wanted to mention Dynamic picture mode on your tv is one you want to avoid, It’s the most unrealistic picture mode you can use. Over-saturates colours etc, Looks impressive to begin with, but it doesn’t look natural. It’s a mode used in showrooms to make TVs look impressive, Personally, you shouldn’t need to use Dynamic mode for your tv picture to look good!
Yep totally agree, I have my virgin , roku and 4k player set to THX cinema or custom mode that I've set up for rec2020 HDR, it was probably set to this at time I was recording. AV forum's had a excellent podcast few weeks about picture settings for anyone not sure about the different picture modes.
Im switching to vm next week. I was paying 117 a month for sky tv and 60 a month for virgin broadband but virgin offered me an upgrade on broadband to the best package and the top tv package they do for 93 a month! Cant go wrong with that 👌👍
£93pm?? Lol I got it for £65pm- Maxit TV with BT Sports. SkySports and Sky Cinema in HD, Kids Package and M200 BB. Landline thrown in (not that it is needed).
Do you still require the v6 box ? is this 360 box an extender that works with the v6 box ? my elderley father in law has 2 v6 boxes at the moment they are very slow red button doesnt work for mid week sky sports games etc
There are no free channels with Virgin Media. You pay a subscription for three packages and that is it. If you mean BBC, ITV channels etc, yes all of them are there
Think I prefer the tivo software and remote, it's very quick on the V6. If the boxes are pretty much the same can they not just update the software like NTL or Telewest used to do?

We did just have broadband from virgin, with no telephone or tv. I was just offered a deal for much faster broadband for a few pounds extra a month, which also includes phone and tv (360 box). We do not have nor want a tv licence so I wasn't going to connect the box, but am I right in that virgin are also offering on-demand shows and movies? if so I don't need a licence for those.

Amazing video! I've opted to upgrade from the incredibly clunky and awful V6 UI and will be updating when my remotes arrive tomorrow. One question... does the new guide stay auto-flick to the channel you're on when you bring up the guide or go up to the start of the list like the previous UI? Thanks in advance.
You mention it looks identical to the V6. This is because it is the exact same box. Virgin contacted me to upgrade to 360. They are sending the new remotes and once they arrive I just have to run a update that they send down the line to update the OS on the box itself to make it 360. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Yep , your right. Seems Virgin will be getting V6 box customers to upgrade their boxes to the new O/S. On the virgin 360 forum's some have mentioned that recordings will still be wiped as it saves recordings in a different format ?? When I had email about upgrading to new 360 box they were sending out the boxes with pre-paid postage to send your old one back. If I original knew just a software upgrade I would of just done it that way.

Getting a couple of these installed, today. Original rep was telling us that it's "only available in Ireland, right now". 🙄 Asked to speak to someone higher up and low and behold, it's available, just like it said so on their website. 😅
Think any bundles from the big bundle or higher gets the tv 360 as standard as mentions on there website www.virginmedia.com/shop/bundles/big-bundle it is basically the V6 box but new horizon software (tv 360).

That voice thing looks really snappy and I like that tip to skip forward using voice control, especially as much of my viewing are recordings. Is there a way to go directly to your recorded shows in one step (just the already recorded list not the planned stuff)? i have the 360 box and a mini box in another room, the mini box doesn't have a hard drive. Should I be able to select a prog to record on the main box from the remote on my mini box. hope that makes sense. great video by the way :)
Hi I wonder if I can ask about additional boxes. I currently have 2 extra boxes, if these are replaced by mini boxes how will they connect up? Will they use the cables which run from outside to connect current boxes or do they connect via WiFi? Thanks.🙂
They need both a connection to the internet hub to get data and a coax connection to retrieve the TV channel picture and sound. The first one can be done via Wi-Fi. The second one cannot. assets.virginmedia.com/resources/pdf/TV360.pdf
Hi strange question but with the old one if you searched say ab actor it would come up with everything they have with that person in films but also tv shows like if they are in a panel show etc but this one doesn’t seem to.... am I doing something wrong? Thanks
Im thinking of getting virgin media. They have a "quick set up" so, no installer comes round. Question: ive a virgin inlet to the house, but no wire from that (inside) The wire outside seems fine. Is this just simple plug n play? Lead, splitter, router+tv box.

It seems like they’re trying to make an Apple TV type interface for people who want everything on one box. But since I use my Apple TV for everything other than TV recordings and live sports, I just want a reliable box to record stuff easily. And I think the Tivo is much better for that. I rely on series links to record live sports and I’m pretty sure this will be a disaster in terms of that stuff.

@@johnm7228 I have absolutely no idea. I’m going to keep the Tivo as long as I can. But I think that if you have 3 standard V6 boxes already, they will just update them both with the new software. You won’t need new hardware. But I’m not exactly sure of your setup. Sorry.
You get the following - BBC iplayer , BBC sounds , CNN, Netflix , Amazon Prime Video , Radioline, STV player , Vevo , The wall street journal and TH-cam. Sadly no apple tv or disney + , but these might be added in a future update.

I think it’s a bit of a p*** take though to charge existing customers a one off fee if they wanna upgrade to the new software - when new customers are getting it in new packages, I assume, at some point in the future, Virgin are going to completely move their software over to Horizon - so all customers will need to have it anyway!, How can they justify a charge to existing customers for early access to it, when everyone’s gonna have to have it eventually anyway? Cash grab?, I’ve got 3 V6 boxes in my house, I’m perfectly happy with what I’ve got, so I’ll hold out and wait till they offer existing customers an over air upgrade for free - Mark my words, it’ll come!
Yes it is , I see image as having a sharper image compared to old software BUT I did have to change my picture settings as looked bit paler tone at first , but yes picture is better just might need to boost contrast a bit or put into different picture setting if tv has them , like warm or cinema
Good review. I’m currently using the V6 and house move coming up the virgin media staff I spoke to suggested this 360 box. One feature I use a lot on the V6 is the different tuners, so I can set up the channels I want and if I need to rewind or skip on I go to each tuner and work around as I need to, handy for sports on different channels at the same time. Does this type of feature work on the 360?
Comes with BBC iplayer, amazon prime (4k), itv hub, stv player , youtube (4k) , CNN, Netflix (4k) and Vevo. You cant block apps for different users only TV channels you can block users from using , like I've blocked some channels on my daughters profile.
Can you start a recording at a specific time (i.e. 3 mins) instead of having to fast forward all the time? Sky have had that for years and it's so much easier, be great if we could get it! I see you can use voice command to 'skip 3 minutes' but I personally think the voice command isn't a feature many will use, kind of like Siri on an iPhone so it would be much better integrated for use on the remote.
Hi Aaron. Thanks for the great vid. Do you know if the V6 remote will work with the TV360? I can’t dispense with the 30 second forward skip button! I know you can do it via voice but I don’t want to be speaking into the new remote late at night. I use it after every delivery by a fast bowler in cricket games, (when the Mrs has gone to bed)! I don't have VM360 yet, but from what I've read on the official help forums, the old V6 TiVo remote does not work with the VM360 software, because like the licensed TiVo VM software that's being retired, the peanut style remote is also licensed by TiVo. This is why they send you a new remote to use with your V6 when its software is updated from TiVo to VM360.
Yep , one down side is all recordings lost if either downloading new software to your current box or if you receive a new box (as hard drive be empty). I just made a list of all my recordings and then searched on new box and added them to record again if show on again on listing or added as series record. I was aware of this when arranged new box so I tried to watch what I could before sending old one back.
I have a question for you I have not got sky movies package when you’re in the TV Guide for sky movie channel by accident do you get charged for it thank you
Do you have a virgin V6 box already as if so you just need to call them up to get the software downloaded to your current box, remember if this is the case all your settings and recordings will be deleted.

From recently having both Sky and Virgin i can say that the Sky Q box is way better. The Virgin remote is better and Virgin Internet is waaaay better.

The V6 an the 360 box are the same, if you have a V6 box they just send yout out the remotes then you can start the software update.
All the reviews seem to completely skip past connecting this box to WiFi, so you can have tv wirelessly

Eventually, you won't have any choice and will have to migrate to VM360, because VM and TiVo's arrangement is coming to an end and is not being renewed. So, at some point in the near future, VM will no longer be able to use the custom TiVo licensed software on any of their boxes (or its remote, which is why they send you a new one when your V6 box is updated to VM360).
The main reason I'm not interested in VM360 at the moment is the lack of being able to select new episodes only as a series link option. Currently, series links record everything, so lots of disk space being used up unnecessarily and manual management to work around it.
For existing customers it seems they just upgrade the software in your existing V6 box now and send you the new remote. I was interested to know the PHYSICAL differences of the two boxes though...Does it have '360' graphics or anything. New Customers get the 'New' box with the new software pre-installed and the remote, I just want to know if the '360' Box is actually different to the 'V6' or is it just the software inside and updating your V6 makes it a 360 box?
Why did you replace a V6 box? It's just a software update
It has a wishlist option to add movies or shows into a wishlist that can be found when you go into "saved" menu , I've added some movies in there which we had on the old box but now only available to buy , I need to keep checking to see if these get updated and if going to show on sky movies or an other channel then have option to record from that channel showing it? Example is the movie "Elf" , not showing on any channel but can be purchased from viegin store , I've put that on wishlist as assume somewhere going to show it at Christmas time.
Just this week switched over from being a Sky customer of 30 years and one of the first adopters to SkyQ.
I rate the 360 box highly, the user face isn’t as intuitive as the SkyQ but the performance and the start over features are better IMO. Picture quality when using the built in apps for Netflix and Prime are also much better on the 360 box. The price I paid for the ultimate volt package ( or whatever it’s called ) which includes a mini box, 1TB broadband, along with the full tv package consisting of sports and movies is a mere £64. 😎

I’ve got even better news, Virgin applied a £4 per month discount which I thought was included in the £64 per month…… It wasn’t. It’s now £60 per month.🥳
Thanks for doing this. My 84 year old mother manages the old style interface on the Tivo quite well. I'm wondering if the voice activated function might work well for her. Any thoughts on how friendly or un friendly this new box would be for an elderly person with hand arthritis?

Am I the only one whi hates the Age Restriction / Pin Code fiasco with the system ???? I live alone and havint o put in a pin code every effin time I want to watch a bloody movie is driving me nuts. It's not only the channel.......it's EVERY FECHIN MOVIE. The tivo system was way better than this for conrrolling access.........hopefully VIRGIN, if they check this sort of review will issue an UPDATE to sort it out.........GET IT FIXED...

"There are two things that have happened recently
The first customer pilot replaced any existing TV kit with the new customer experience which is 1 main HDD box and any additional boxes are the 360 mini boxes.
There is now another customer pilot. That is where some existing customers with V6 boxes are being offered an upgrade where the boxes are converted to 360. And new remote being sent to customers.
Both of these are invite only.
As yet there hasn't been confirmation as to which option will be available for existing customers for the 360 when it becomes a normal upgrade that you can ask for."
I assume early 2021 V6 customers will have a general update/upgrade notice.

I have the v6 box with the free view channels only plus 360mb broadband and landline. I use an Apple TV 4K for net flicks and Now TV. I like the look of the 360 box though, I guess I will have to wait until they roll out to everyone. I don’t need the sim in the ultimate bundle either. Looks like a good upgrade though. Thanks for taking the time to review this
Think they are rolling out boxes now as they state there new top packages come with the 360 box and even top package comes with extra multi room box. If using apple tv I think performance wise be better on the apple tv to the 360 box. Think choice be more about monthly cost between the 2

Hi Aaron when you go it recordings just say if you were in you were watching the box in the bedroom is there section saying other box like what they have had on the previous boxes so you can watch recordings from say from your livingroom box in your bedroom or your any recordings from bedroom box in living room
I know the new seprate boxes dont have hard drives so wont be able to record on those , just the main box. Not sure about v3 boxes if you have more then one in house ?

So, I have a V6 box upstairs AND downstairs, will they also send me out a mini so i can get tv in the other spare room in my house? I think they are just sending me remotes out? but a mini would have been good in the spare room, also, does the mini require cable run from the virgin main box or is this just wifi?
When I set up my Dad's 360 box it didn't download the software properly so you can't record or do anything apart from watching programmes live. So the Virgin engineer has to come out.

It’s the most unrealistic picture mode you can use. Over-saturates colours etc,
Looks impressive to begin with, but it doesn’t look natural. It’s a mode used in showrooms to make TVs look impressive,
Personally, you shouldn’t need to use Dynamic mode for your tv picture to look good!
Yep totally agree, I have my virgin , roku and 4k player set to THX cinema or custom mode that I've set up for rec2020 HDR, it was probably set to this at time I was recording. AV forum's had a excellent podcast few weeks about picture settings for anyone not sure about the different picture modes.
Im switching to vm next week. I was paying 117 a month for sky tv and 60 a month for virgin broadband but virgin offered me an upgrade on broadband to the best package and the top tv package they do for 93 a month! Cant go wrong with that 👌👍
£93pm?? Lol I got it for £65pm- Maxit TV with BT Sports. SkySports and Sky Cinema in HD, Kids Package and M200 BB. Landline thrown in (not that it is needed).

There are no free channels with Virgin Media. You pay a subscription for three packages and that is it. If you mean BBC, ITV channels etc, yes all of them are there
Think I prefer the tivo software and remote, it's very quick on the V6. If the boxes are pretty much the same can they not just update the software like NTL or Telewest used to do?

We did just have broadband from virgin, with no telephone or tv. I was just offered a deal for much faster broadband for a few pounds extra a month, which also includes phone and tv (360 box). We do not have nor want a tv licence so I wasn't going to connect the box, but am I right in that virgin are also offering on-demand shows and movies? if so I don't need a licence for those.

You mention it looks identical to the V6. This is because it is the exact same box. Virgin contacted me to upgrade to 360. They are sending the new remotes and once they arrive I just have to run a update that they send down the line to update the OS on the box itself to make it 360. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Yep , your right. Seems Virgin will be getting V6 box customers to upgrade their boxes to the new O/S. On the virgin 360 forum's some have mentioned that recordings will still be wiped as it saves recordings in a different format ??
When I had email about upgrading to new 360 box they were sending out the boxes with pre-paid postage to send your old one back. If I original knew just a software upgrade I would of just done it that way.

Getting a couple of these installed, today. Original rep was telling us that it's "only available in Ireland, right now". 🙄 Asked to speak to someone higher up and low and behold, it's available, just like it said so on their website. 😅
Think any bundles from the big bundle or higher gets the tv 360 as standard as mentions on there website www.virginmedia.com/shop/bundles/big-bundle it is basically the V6 box but new horizon software (tv 360).

i have the 360 box and a mini box in another room, the mini box doesn't have a hard drive. Should I be able to select a prog to record on the main box from the remote on my mini box. hope that makes sense. great video by the way :)

Hi I wonder if I can ask about additional boxes. I currently have 2 extra boxes, if these are replaced by mini boxes how will they connect up? Will they use the cables which run from outside to connect current boxes or do they connect via WiFi? Thanks.🙂
They need both a connection to the internet hub to get data and a coax connection to retrieve the TV channel picture and sound. The first one can be done via Wi-Fi. The second one cannot. assets.virginmedia.com/resources/pdf/TV360.pdf

It seems like they’re trying to make an Apple TV type interface for people who want everything on one box. But since I use my Apple TV for everything other than TV recordings and live sports, I just want a reliable box to record stuff easily. And I think the Tivo is much better for that. I rely on series links to record live sports and I’m pretty sure this will be a disaster in terms of that stuff.

@@johnm7228 I have absolutely no idea. I’m going to keep the Tivo as long as I can. But I think that if you have 3 standard V6 boxes already, they will just update them both with the new software. You won’t need new hardware. But I’m not exactly sure of your setup. Sorry.

Sadly no apple tv or disney + , but these might be added in a future update.

I’m sure the latest update brings an option to record ‘From this episode onwards’for Series Links which is more or less the same as ‘New’.

I think it’s a bit of a p*** take though to charge existing customers a one off fee if they wanna upgrade to the new software - when new customers are getting it in new packages,
I assume, at some point in the future, Virgin are going to completely move their software over to Horizon - so all customers will need to have it anyway!,
How can they justify a charge to existing customers for early access to it, when everyone’s gonna have to have it eventually anyway?

Is the picture quality better on this box than the V6? The HD looked like it was SD on the old.
Yes it is , I see image as having a sharper image compared to old software BUT I did have to change my picture settings as looked bit paler tone at first , but yes picture is better just might need to boost contrast a bit or put into different picture setting if tv has them , like warm or cinema
Good review. I’m currently using the V6 and house move coming up the virgin media staff I spoke to suggested this 360 box. One feature I use a lot on the V6 is the different tuners, so I can set up the channels I want and if I need to rewind or skip on I go to each tuner and work around as I need to, handy for sports on different channels at the same time. Does this type of feature work on the 360?

Comes with BBC iplayer, amazon prime (4k), itv hub, stv player , youtube (4k) , CNN, Netflix (4k) and Vevo. You cant block apps for different users only TV channels you can block users from using , like I've blocked some channels on my daughters profile.

Can you start a recording at a specific time (i.e. 3 mins) instead of having to fast forward all the time? Sky have had that for years and it's so much easier, be great if we could get it! I see you can use voice command to 'skip 3 minutes' but I personally think the voice command isn't a feature many will use, kind of like Siri on an iPhone so it would be much better integrated for use on the remote.
How do you retrieve deleted programs on the 360, like the old V6....?
You can't at moment there's no retrieve option after any delections

I don't have VM360 yet, but from what I've read on the official help forums, the old V6 TiVo remote does not work with the VM360 software, because like the licensed TiVo VM software that's being retired, the peanut style remote is also licensed by TiVo. This is why they send you a new remote to use with your V6 when its software is updated from TiVo to VM360.

Hi just got this box... have I now lost all my reccordings from my old box do you know?
Yep , one down side is all recordings lost if either downloading new software to your current box or if you receive a new box (as hard drive be empty). I just made a list of all my recordings and then searched on new box and added them to record again if show on again on listing or added as series record. I was aware of this when arranged new box so I tried to watch what I could before sending old one back.
I have a question for you I have not got sky movies package when you’re in the TV Guide for sky movie channel by accident do you get charged for it thank you
In the guide it will be greyed out and won't be able to select anything , will just come up with a pop up that you can upgrade for channel.

Do you have a virgin V6 box already as if so you just need to call them up to get the software downloaded to your current box, remember if this is the case all your settings and recordings will be deleted.
