  • The Let through energy class of the MCB circuit breaker capacity is explained in this video. I will also explain the electrical rated short-circuit breaking current capacity ( Icn ) and let-through energy of the MCB (miniature circuit breaker) working in the AC circuit with an example. Prospective short circuit fault current, energy class 3, energy class 2 for C32 MCB, and its thermal energy is also explained.
    Then I will explain the current limiting during a short circuit in AC is also explained.
    I will further explain what is the short circuit current? and Its mechanical force due to electromagnetic force.

      You can learn even now. Just start reading and learning. After coming back from the office, you should give some time daily to learn (read books and watch electrical videos specially prepared by some experience persons). 40 years back after completing my electrical engineering, I wanted to learn finance. I started reading finance related books and magazines every weak. This I did for 40 years continuously. Now I feel like making videos on finance now. So if you want to learn, nobody can stop you.

    In my book it says I_cn is rated for fuses with no training of personell, can be used universally. However I_Cu fuses are for instructed personell, industrial or energy installations. *I didnt quite understand how you obtained the numbers I^2 *t from 10kA class 3 = 110 000 . And how come that on Class 3 the I^2C should be as much as possible, but a 2 class fuse should be have I^2t as low as possible. ..... ? the point of the fuse is to break open at the Lowest short or fail to ground with I2 thermal, within 1 hour. And momentary opening 0.1sec of electromagnetic release on I5. the fuse rating is chosen onto the installation. fuse whould open on Lowest and Largest fail currents. within time specs witout destroying the fuse .

    • @GKAgrawal2
      @GKAgrawal2  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Value of I^2*t is not calculated, but it is as per Data sheet and Standards of MCB

      Watch my video again. Breaking capacity 6000 or 10000 is contact rating. It is not rating of the current sensors, watch video again

    • @GKAgrawal2

      This is written in IS standard document of MCB. It is same all over world. IS standard document has to be purchased from BIS Bureau of Indian standard.
      This data may also rarely available in detail specification of the MCB.

    Sir. I beg to disagree with your initial presentation. 10000 is the maximum ampere rating the breaker can withstand during short circuit without damaging to the CB.
