Fender American Original 60s Stratocaster (Candy Apple Red) through a Marshall JTM-45! What a nice Strat this is! Great pickups, great colour, nitro finish, plays and sounds great. Way below a Custom Shop Strat price! What else do we want?
This is the guitar that's #1 on my Strat wish list. I agree, the "thick C" neck profile and taper is very nice, it's probably what I liked the most about it. The neck is something like 0.820" at the 1st fret and it tapers all the way to almost a full inch depth at the 12th fret. Really like that. I have a modern Strat neck on my American standard and to me it's not nearly as comfortable as you go up the neck.
@@rollysguitars do you like the Original 60’s or 50’s better? I know the 50s is a bit thicker neck down to the nut and I think the pickups are naturally more 50s sounding- a bit more glassy and bright

Lovely guitar and really nice tone, I’m putting a Strat together with an Original 60s neck and a 2017 Monterey body. Can I ask how you had your JTM45 volume and tone set up on this. I have a Cornell Plexi 45/50 head which is based on the Marshall with a few tweaks.
Sounds nice and Stratty! I have the same one but in pink, very high quality instrument, the neck pickup is a real winner! Wish they had done the candy apple red on the maple board version, I would’ve bought that one too!
I’ve got one of these, took me 18 years to get over the trauma of my first shitty Squier strat from argos to get another one 🤣. Although they no doubt are before someone jumps in, I can’t imagine a custom shop been much better. The neck is close to perfection for me 🤷♂️

Would you think about switching them out or do you think Fender got it right?. Dont get me wrong here.... It does sound good, but a little ‘over wound’ for my taste!. Rock on Brother!.

I like these pickups a lot! The amp gain was quite high...on the edge of break up. And filth is needed for rock n roll ;-)
@@rollysguitars I got one with thise Dipper pickup(vineham) and they improved all the tones. The stock ones are good but too brittle.
I have the '50s version. Not perfect, but incredibly resonant with a nice thick neck. Your '60 is gorgeous.
