I was listening to a podcast in/around 2015 and the host mentioned that he was picking up pipe smoking, he mentioned a Dagner poker, which prompted me to explore. As I perused their website I was really impressed by the pipes. My grandfather smoked a pipe so it was a bit nostalgic for me. I guess I can also thank the Dagner’s for getting me curious enough that I eventually picked up the hobby myself a few years later. Thanks for the video… I love the stem on that Rhodesian.

In the movie ‘Patton’ (which, by the way, used a screenplay written by a precocious Francis Ford Coppola), there’s a scene early on where George C. Scott tells his aide-de-camp he wishes he could send Field Marshal Rommel an engraved invitation to a tank duel which would decide the North Africa campaign. FYI.
From my comfortable armchair, I was saddened by the the political views spoken to in this video. Ruined my night to see the glorification of ideologies (potential or realized) so clearly blind and deaf to reality. Looking forward to future posts, Simon - you are my favorite YTPC 'streamer'.
Simon, 6° is positively balmy. I'm in York and it's 1° and I'm even considering putting the extremely expensive central heating on ! I haven't heard the cry of 'No war !' for a very long time. Where is CND when you need them ? I'm horrified at what Biden has just done and have believed for quite some time that we are the 'baddies'.
