Dude Mike, I'm so glad you're doing this podcast. You don't get enough credit for being able to be innovative and stay relevant (not that podcasting itself is anything special, but of all the musicians and song writers I've followed my entire life, you're one of the few that's still interesting and fun.) Just wanted to say I share every episode and I'm glad you're still around. Love the podcast man.
Been a punk my whole life. Been watching NOFX since the early 90's . Saw you in Atlanta every time ya played there!! Booked ya at the Somber Reptile around 94 or 95. Had a record store called Anti Records. Sold a lot of NOFX records there. Just wanna say, bro I love your show!!! It Rocks just like your guitar playing!!! Hope all is well and hope you are doing Awesome bro!!!
That stuff Sam was saying about street artists reminds me of the time my city commissioned a street artist named Risk from LA to come all the way to Ontario to turn our old hospital into the biggest mural in Canada. His shit got stolen, and he wasn't able to finish. I'm ashamed of my city sometimes.
Oh shit A long time ago I tweeted: Fat Mike is the Stanhope of punk rock (or viceversa, can’t remember hahaha) . This is a great crossover that I never thought I was gonna see.
My mom died of cancer and I can relate to seeing her in awful shape. My sister and I joke about certain aspects of it around other people and it's pretty funny to see the faces they make.
@@nobodynoone2500 Definitely, I made it through 3. 5 years stuck in a cancer ward, I'd tell friends to make jokes and laugh even if I had no energy. No use being sad if you can help it imo. Saw my aunt the night of her passing, it was fucked and I regret it tbh, all I picture in memories of her is her mummified looking face, even memories of her years before.
Mr. Fat . Thank you for giving us all something to look forward too . You and Sam are legends. If it's possible could you give us the gift to see Jesse and Sam play at your back yard fires to see them play back to back would be a bucket list check for this guy
I'm a skateboarder (& lifelong PuNk RoCkEr=) watching from Russia. Thanks for keeping me sane over here, where this kinda lifestyle is frowned upon. Let me know if your ever going to play that show at "The Glav Club' in Moscow, that was cancelled a couple of years back due to "The Pandemic Scare", we can after party at my house. Sincerely, Danny B. =) P.S You should sign 'GUTTERMOUTH!" I fucking love them!
Whoever was your cameraman doing the camera jumps went from being when the best damn camera man I've ever known to somebody that could just make you absolutely want to hurl just cutting so fast but my God some of it was like amazing.
Also. When someone tries to open your stall door, and you guys make eye contact through the slit… it’s called a Turd Burgler. Come on guys. You should know this.
I don’t know about elementary school… but I know the dudes in my highschool, no doors. This is New Jersey. I can’t imagine shitting in high school if you had no doors. Savages
"I'm not dead yet" lol. We get a double entendre star feature! I'll get those pink picks, it will go toward fatty's tito mini drink. Did Stanhope fall in?
How the hell do you cancel a punk band. LMAO. Doug is amazing. Be sure to have him back often. See'in y'all on tour this summer, and I'm not even a huge fan, but you fuckers got the spirit still. Crank and crystal are not the same thing in fact I'd argue they are as different as sunshine and rain except I've only ever seen them and may happen to know more about the production of each then I'd like to admit!
So Rogan got pissy over Stanhope saying he isnt funny? I thought Joe was all about learning the truth of things... Seriously, though, Rogan is an alright podcast host, he knows his shit when it comes to fighting, and he can be funny in a conversation, but Ive never found his stand-up funny, unique or insightful, and its always just felt like a D tier Hicks/Kinison tribute act without any of the wit and originality those two had. The fact he heard that from someone like Stanhope, a true legend, probably just made him bitter, since its true, but of course thats just speculation, as I dont know the man.
"D tier Hicks/Kinison tribute act without any of the wit and originality those two had." Spot on. His comedy not being that great wouldn't matter much, but he mostly has too much ego on him at this point (aside from his tired white male victimhood complex).
I hope now that you have a podcast you don’t start associating with all these comedians, just because all of them have podcast too doesn’t mean you need to have them on. Please, Mike, make this the last comedian you have on.
Joe Rogan isn’t funny, he sucks as a stand up comedian. He should stick to commentary and doing his podcast. Joe didn’t like Doug saying that because he knows it’s true. Doug is the only comedian that doesn’t kiss his ass.
Joe Rogan is a lifetime jock that did some drugs and befriended some real gnarly comics for a few years to gain notoriety. Soon as he made a few bucks he went back into full jock mode. Dudes comedy has always been lame.
People are still doing the jock/punk thing? What's wrong with lifting weights? Or enjoying a sport like MMA? I honestly didnt know adults were out there still doing these silly high school stereotype bullshits ha ha
What do you think real punk rock is. Its judging society. Not conforming. But whats going on now is not punk rock. Real punk rockers are gonna sit back and let all these new genz do it for us. Pretty simple. Besides suicidal why doesn't he interview jello. Or dick or kieth. Or kyle from dr. Know. Or anyone alive from code of honor. Or how about brandon that took over dr.know. That would be fun. Mikes probobly to affriad of these guys. Lol

Mike’s podcast would be so much better if it was Sams podcast and if Mike didn’t constantly talk over his guests…Stanhope seems more like a spectator then a guest 😵💫😮😂
He does interrupt a bit. The ciggy thing was understandable, but damn, either stand your ground or be gracious. Overall, it's easy to be critical, but I'm no host, and this is only the 8th cast.
