Couscous is basically a type of pasta eaten in North Africa. It's usually prepared on Friday or Saturday and is eaten by placing it on a large platter in the middle of the table and topping it with a stew or meat abd vegetables (it varies regionally). Traditionally, everyone sits around the table and eats from the platter by using their right hand. I've eaten it in Morocco and Algeria, homemade by friends and family. It's so good. ❤
The "Chocolate Salty Balls" song manage to hit number 1 on the U.K. singles chart.

Trey and Matt have a history with Robert Redford and Sundance Film Festival. Before South Park Trey made a film called: Cannibal The Musical based on the story of Alfred Packer The Colorado Cannibal. He and Matt tried to submit this film but was rejected thus why he and Matt made this episode.

The same background people I only thought about was because it’s a small town so it made sense for me 😂😂

It's pretty good cooked in broth and herbs, makes a nice fluffy side dish.

CousCous is coarse milled, wet Durum flour coated in fine milled wheat flour to make tiny grains of pasta.
"Normal" pasta is semolina flour, water, salt and egg made into dough then rolled to pasta.

Couscous is a Moroccan dish people eat it every Friday and on some occasions with a lot of guests but I saw Americans and some other European countries make it all bland and dry and disgusting it’s a disgrace to call it couscous
I’ve only seen couscous on masterchef, and it looked pretty good there but idk.🤷
Problem is alot of people boil or tray bake it when it should be steamed in vegetable builon or stock.

I've only had couscous a handful of times and absolutely despised it, but maybe if I had accurate Moroccan couscous I'd like it.
@BlueYYu it's a very layered thing to make, which often leads to restaurants and home cooks cheating by adding raw herbs to bring up the flavour. And sure, couscous dishes can have herbs such as koriander/cilantro, but that should be in the broth. Not raw to add colour or a punch of flavour.
To get it right you use a special large pot (called a kiskas I believe), on which another pot with perforated bottom can be placed. slow braise beef or lamb with veggies, carrot, eggplant, onions, root veggies etc in the bottom pot, and when it's time to cook the couscous you place it in the top pot and then put on a lid, this way your slowcooked broth steams the couscous right before service.
I will admit most of what I've said here is based on me watching people cook it. I've only made it myself a few times and that's decades ago
I did a little more research and I found something on Wikipedia (it is listed as unreferenced so I'm not sure where it came from exactly) that says this: "The scene in which the boys find Mr. Garrison in the sewers wearing a diving suit and asking if they know how to file a police report is a reference to the film Amsterdamned in which a killer in a diving suit hides in the sewers."
I just recently rewatched the entirety of South Park from the 1st to last season. If you pay attention to the first few seasons, it feels like Cartman was the one who got bullied by the group the most (especially by Kyle and Stan). Story wise, it would make sense that they turned him into who he is now.

Couscous isn't bad, you just have to spice it right and add a few vegetables and raisins, and so on. Tastes pretty good.

couscous is pretty nice. It's little balls of grains you can use as a base for a warm dish, like pasta or rice. It's wet and a bit sloppy but with lots of flavor. Not sure why it has the same image as tofu as like a rich, douchy vegan's food of choice. It's literally every man's food in the country of origin, cheap too.
