How to make Prepared Thread / Wire for ganutell flowers (twisting technique)

A short video showing how to twist wire and thread together to create lengths of "prepared thread" (also called "prepared wire") for ganutell flowers.

Prepared thread is made with a drop spindle.

It is! :) But this is an easy way for people who want to try this ancient craft, without also having to learn how to spin with a drop spindle. That is a skill in itself with just thread - it takes alot of dedication to work with wire too!
I've also found with my research into various techniques, that a method used in one area of the world can be worked in a different way in another (or in different time periods), yet all with the same end results.
