For future reference, it might be worth marking the rotor/stator alignment before pulling the rotor out. Not all brushless motors are sensorless and require to be re-assembled in the same orientation. Better be safe than sorry
It doesn't work like that
@Builds & Stuff. I was pulling for you.Like you said, a good nights sleep give you a new perspective.
Disappointed there's no obvious fuse like in the impact drivers.
Hope you and your family stay safe and well.
Oh, I thought you were gonna splice in a fuse! Best done sober though lol.
Reminds me of the time I took my dad's 2000 dollar Zenith apart. lol
I can’t lie this video is hilarious after 4:30, I just seen the post saying no wife + alcohol = this video. Your definitely a bit off 😂
It was the bottom left screw that struggled to loosen.
Well spotted.
made me lol a few times.
thanks!!!
The anti kick back is not working very well on my Makita xgt hammer drill
Can you see if the 40v rear handle 7 1/4 saw has a fuse
Good job brother
Great video thanks
Get that voodoo magic knob outta here!
Purple Makita? Never seen that before.
I laughed at the youtube/vlog/forum trend of discussing JIS. Unless you’re pulling apart 1970’s Yashica camera lenses and 1980’s crotch rockets, you’ll never actually see the old JIS cruciform. I pull out my jizz, nightly, but I pull out my jis once every 15 years or so. Or so..or so...or so I thought. Then it was that I started buying Makita. Within the mindset of the American healthcare system, I like to drop things instead of myself dropping onto things and I’ve replaced a one or two Makita parts. Well fuck me, those screws are modern JIS and modern JIS is sort of to Phillips what Pozidriv is to Phillips. Grab a Japanese no 2. The impact gold bits were made by vessel and suffice.
No thanks......
fuse ?a damn fuse
threw my new d t whatever 16
in the trash
got tired of looking at it
in pieces
well..
if It Was a fuse
at least the board is still good
in the ground
(? somewhere)
Already broken mine after 2 months
What's wrong with it?
@@BuildsStuff pretty sure the motor died. It has power but the chuck doesn't spin. Getting it covered by warranty but apparently gonna take 6 weeks to get fixed.
On the brushless motors one failure mode is the rotor material cracking under extreme heat - the uneven expansion due to temp differences easily cracks a ceramic material. I saw one midrange Makita brushless drill die after some cruel metal drilling.
