I recently purchased a copy and it's next on my to-read list.
I finished Long Division yesterday, after reading most of it on a plane. I had no idea it existed, but I recognized his name in the airport bookstore and had to pick it up, after loving Heavy. I loved your review, and I can't wait to hear more people talk about it. I feel like I could pick it back up and re-read it already. I've never read anything like it.

Loved your review. I’m in the exact middle of the book. Loving it so far. I also read Heavy, and agree that the love of language is a thread that runs through all of Kiese’s writing. This is a unique story-I stayed up late, telling myself “just one more chapter” several times!

This review is so thoughtful and you articulated so many feelings that I had while reading but was struggling to exactly nail down. Phenomenal review of a phenomenal book!!
I dont have a lot of time to read, but this book i finished fast because i could not put it down,it was so magnetic. The themes are brilliantly presented and the ending was wow! I can't wait to read more from this author.

I stumbled across “Long Division” back in August or so and I was intrigued by what the book was about and the fact that you had to flip it upside down to read the next part! I had no idea what to expect when I began reading it last month, but I’ve fallen in love with this book! I finished it today and I know that I will have to re-read because some parts left me confused. This was my first read by Kiese and I can’t wait to read the rest of his works! Definitely a masterpiece! Thank you for your review :)

im not going to lie ... i had a hard time w this book and came to youtube looking for perspective abt what i was missing. someone asked me today what i was reading and i literally said, "black people time traveling" and got the strangest look. i think it sums up how i feel abt it ... confused. i appreciated your review and voice and may settle on where this book feels in my spirit as time passes. this is my first KL read.
