Wow, a lot of content in such a short video.
I always think of Lot as someone selfish and not up to the task, for example when he chooses the fertile bank of the Jordan instead of giving that place to Abraham, who is after all his adoptive father. Also, he has to be rescued twice, and the second time he seems too lazy to get out of Gomorrah and the angels almost have to push him away.
Now I see that there is another detail in his last story that had gone unnoticed to me but fits the profile: he is too lazy to find a husband for his daughters.
    Thanks for sharing.

Have you ever considered that Noah got drunk by accident? Prior to the flood, there was no corruption process; everything lasted forever. Turning grape juice into wine is brought about by fermenting which is a corrupting process. Ergo, Noah was drinking grape juice which had corrupted into wine. In other words, Noah's drunkenness was an accident. I'm not "all in" on this, but it is interesting to think about.

Did Prophet Lot offer his daughters to homosexual men? Did he commit incest with his daughters, as the Bible says?
    question
Several questions have come up regarding the story of Lot recounted in the Bible: 1. Did Prophet Lot offer to marry his daughters to homosexual men? 2. Did he commit incest with his daughters, as the Bible says?
    Concise answer
The two accounts of the story of Prophet Lot (pbuh) in the Holy Quran and Bible contain many commonalities. It can even be said that they share the same fundamentals; the only difference lying in the incest of his daughters with their father. The Quran not only makes no mention of this, but according to Islamic teachings, this part of the story is an addition made later and an alteration in the original Torah and is in contradiction with the infallibility of the prophets. We also know his daughters to be pure and chaste who were saved from the punishment of their people. Therefore, such an act by them is totally refuted. Much of what is found in the Bible today is not accepted by the Muslims.
On the other hand, what has been mentioned in the Quran is completely accepted and also in compliance with human and religious principles.
The only point remaining vague in the story of Lot in the Quran that has also been mentioned in the Bible is the matter of him saying: "O my people! Here are my daughters…"; the question is how can a prophet of God 'offer' his daughters to the disbelievers and misguided?! The answer is, what Lot meant when he 'offered' his daughters was for them to get married to them, not that they satisfy their sexual urges through fornication; it would never happen for a prophet to ever offer his daughters for such an ugly act, it in no way reads with the rank of prophethood.
    Detailed Answer
In order to answer this question, it is necessary that we briefly recount the story of Prophet Lot from both the Quran and Bible's perspective:
The story of Lot in the Quran
This story has been recounted several times in different chapters of the Holy Quran and words on it can also be found in Islamic traditions. Here, relying on verses of surah Hijr and other surahs, this story will be mentioned:
"So when the messengers came to Lot's family, he said," You are indeed strangers [to me]. They said," Rather we bring you what they used to doubt. We bring you the truth, and indeed we speak truly. Take your family in a watch of the night; and follow in their rear, and none of you should turn round, and proceed as you are bidden." We apprised him of the matter that these will be rooted out by dawn. The people of the city came, rejoicing. He said," These are indeed my guests. Do not bring dishonour on me. Be wary of Allah and do not humiliate me." They said," Did we not forbid you for [defending] strangers?" He said," These are my daughters, [marry them] if you should do anything."[1] Certainly they even solicited of him his guests, whereat We blotted out their eyes, [saying] "Taste My punishment and My warnings!"[2] "So the Cry seized them at sunrise, and We made its topmost part its nethermost, and rained on them stones of shale!"[3] "So We delivered him and his family, except his wife; she was one of those who remained behind."[4]
The story of Lot in the Bible
"And there came two angels to Sodom at even…and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house…But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round…and they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them. Lot went out at the door unto them…and said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring themout unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes. Only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof…But the men [the two angels] put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness...whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place, for we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it…Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven…and he overthrew those citiesand all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. And Lot went up out of Zo'ar…he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters…And the firstborn said unto the younger…come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose…And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose…Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father".[5]
These were brief accounts of the story of Lot in the Quran and Bible. They have many similarities, it can even be said that they share the same general points and fundamentals, other than the incest of his daughters with their father; the Quran not only makes no mention of this, but according to Islamic teachings, this part of the story is an addition made later and an alteration in the original Torah and is in contradiction with the infallibility of the prophets. We also know his daughters to be pure and chaste who were saved from the punishment of their people. Therefore, such an act by them is totally refuted. Much of what is found in the Bible today is not accepted by the Muslims.
On the other hand, what has been mentioned in the Quran is completely accepted and is also in compliance with human and religious principles.
It seems that the only point remaining vague in the story of Lot in the Quran that has also been mentioned in the Bible is the matter of him saying: "O my people! Here are my daughters…"; the question is how can a prophet of God 'offer' his daughters to the disbelievers and misguided?! Relying on the generic rules and principles that can be derived from the Quran, commentators have asserted under the verse "قَالَ یَا قَوْمِ هَؤُلَاءِ بَنَاتىِ هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَکُم"[6] that the sentence "هؤُلاءِ بَناتِی" has been added the clause "هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَکُمْ" (they are purer for you) to show that what Lot meant by 'offering' his daughters was that he was asking the people to marry them, not to commit the ugly act of fornication with them and satisfy their illegitimate desires through such; it is impossible for one with the status of prophethood to ever make such a suggestion. There is no purity and chastity in fornication, as the Quran says: "And do not approach fornication. It is indeed an indecency and an evil way"[7]. The prohibition of fornication is a law that God has enacted in all divine religions. It had also been enacted during Lot's time. So, the clause "هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَکُمْ" is the greatest evidence that what Lot was intending was marriage, not fornication.[8]
Also, the goal of Prophet Lot in suggesting the sinners to marry his daughters, while his daughters were a small number compared to the sinners, was to leave them no excuse and show to what extremes he was willing to go to, to save the face of his guests and save his people of the swamp of corruption[9]. Clearly, suggesting marriage with such an intention not only isn't wrong, but is also applauded.

Part of the reason for this whole story is premised by the fact that LOT does NOT want to be JOINED with ABRAHAM. “ESCAPE TO THE MOUNTAIN”- Flee to Abraham who is dwelling in the mountain - as it is said, (Genesis 12:8) “And he removed his tent thence unto the mountain”. He was still dwelling there, as it is said, (Genesis 13:3) “[And he went unto] … the place where his tent had been at first”, and although it is stated (Genesis 13:18) “And Abraham moved his tent etc.”, he had many tents and they stretched as far as Hebron.
In comparison to ABRAHAM - LOT FEARS to be SEEN as EVIL. Whilst in SODOM he appeared as righteous in comparison to WICKEDNESS. He was AFRAID to come to the LIGHT and DO GOOD. PRIDE was in his heart. STILL then LOT was UNCOVERED by his daughters…..and in doing so revealed that they had NOT be taught to DO GOOD but their FATHER had tried to OFFER them to the wolves (Gen 19:8).

It's hard to tell. The first explicit laws are found in Lev 18, so quite a bit later. There is no indication in the text of Genesis that Abraham and Sarah's marriage was wrong. To the contrary, both God and the author of Genesis repeatedly emphasize that they are husband and wife and make it clear that no one should interfere with their union. In the story of Lot and his daughter, on the other hand, their roles as father and daughters is emphasized and, as I tried to show in the video, there are a number of textual indicators that what they did was wrong.

The story of Lot and his daughters in the cave following the story of Lot and his daughters in Sodom seems a lot less significant when you consider that they are two parts of the same story of Lot leaving Sodom. Putting them together makes a lot more sense than inserting the story of Moses confronting Pharaoh, then going back to the story of Lot in the cave.Honestly, I don't know where else you're supposed to put that story.
In someways the story doesn't make sense. Conception isn't normally a once and done. It can happen, but normally it takes several tries. And for two women to conceive on the first try is statistically highly unlikely.
You would have to assume that the story has been changed over time, from Lot lying with his daughters during their stay (multiple incidents) to Lot lying with each daughter only once. The story might have even been altered to give the daughters more responsibility as the culture changed.
Or you would have to assume that God approved, for two such pregnancies to be successful on the first try. It would indicate divine intervention to overcome long odds of success.
I can see this starting as a story of filial piety. After all, the concern wasn't that there were no other men in the world. They had just passed a city filled with people.
But there was no one to continue their father's line. In those days it was believed that the man produced the seed, with a tiny, fully formed person inside. The woman only provides a fertile field to grow the seed. Or a barren field in which no seed will grow.
If their brothers stayed and perished in Sodom, then the only way their father's line could continue would be for him to father new sons. Incest was not a problem in those days. The children of Adam and Eve married each other, and Abraham himself married his half-sister Sarai, child of his father by a different mother.
That wasn't a sin until God gave the law to the Israelites in the exodus from Egypt.

  • @T.D.H.Miller-pp6sf
    @T.D.H.Miller-pp6sf ปีที่แล้ว +3

You're not telling the not a story correctly.
If you remember Noah cursed Cannan his grandson for Ham.. Why?
Because He had uncovered his father's nakedness. In the law it says a husbands nakedness is his wife. He had cursed his grandson because his son had raped his mother.
And all of those who came from Cannan became The Cannanites.
There would have been no reason to curse his grandson for this if it wasn't so.

God's loving provision surrounds us in many forms. It is most clearly seen in nature where mankind has not polluted the environment completely. Consider the diversity of the wildflowers, the blue of the sky, the green of the foliage, all fitting perfectly with our need for beauty and loveliness in order to have a happy life. My God gives me fresh air and sunshine every day. He provides for the birds and other creatures of His making, although man's selfishness harms them.
To quote Jesus, "If God so clothes the grass of the field, how much more will He clothe you, oh you of little faith?"
I have decided that God's provision for these daily things is sufficient evidence to trust that my faith in other trials will be rewarded. My trust in God's provision for the future is based on experiences of His provision in the past. It requires faith, but it is based on evidence.

See the story of Lot , he pregnant his two daughters, according to your Bible it is not sins. David and Solomon aldo also did sins. They are the prophets of Bible.

There is more to it than that LeeHyun - you need to look at the context for the lesson. Those who SIN suffer consequences not just on them but MANY around them. The understanding is ADAM (mankind) SINS because of the FIRST transgression of NOT OBEYING the commandment of Elohim from the beginning. KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL but WITHOUT ELOHIM can be used against others instead of BLESSING others and CHOOSING to DO GOOD. It’s TWISTED knowledge rather than PURE knowledge. The HEART is EVIL WITHOUT Yahuah, Elohim but the GOOD NEWS which runs throughout the SCRIPTURES (the VOICE of Elohim) is that HE would COME to CHANGE our hearts to DO GOOD and OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS from a HEARTS DESIRE to LOVE HIM and LOVE others.

It was gods will to have two virgin women gang raped? Outstanding example of how your god makes you say evil things.

It is fake story. A prophet of ALLAH can't commit such a big sin. It is added to Bible by people. These can not be words of God.
