    Great description Sam
I would love to hear more detail on how to get back in the ‘green zone’ when we still have lots of the life stressors (work, kids, ageing parents). What methods do we use to not let these stressful tasks build into anxiety? Just the allowing method?
Your videos are always so helpful. Thankyou 🙏

Hi Sam, please do a video on decades of living in stress from abusive relationships and if the principles you outline remain the same, as well as relocation stress and having been disconnected from close friends or family in the process.

Thing is, a lot of folks say we need to lean into anxiety, and get used to it - putting ourselves in anxious situations - in order to recover. But surely that just increases the temperature??
I was encouraged to lean into it, and make myself anxious on purpose, to get used to it. But my symptoms and chronic pain just got worse and worse. Now I barely sleep

I never encourage any clients to make themselves anxious on purpose. We need to lean into life, not anxiety. Anxiety will give you plenty of opportunity to practice with difficult thoughts and symptoms etc, so we practice as these opportunities arise naturally, knowing triggers can be unpleasant, but ultimately not serious.

What do you do when your anxiety is tangled up in chronic pain? I had both show up at the same time and I’m finding it extremely hard to sit with the pain without increasing the anxiety. But at the same time, the pain is a result of the anxiety, so it’s like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Same. I’ve got tinnitus, fibromyalgia and chronic insomnia. How are we meant to cope in these situations? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sam has a video on chronic pain and sensitization that might help: m.th-cam.com/video/wWkgcKDGhyk/w-d-xo.html
Though I could also use some clarification how sensitization seems to create symptoms out of a health worry, and not from a previous injury.

Yes please watch my video on chronic pain and anxiety. I don't recommend 'sitting with the pain' per say, rather accept it, allow it, go loose and slow down to help you allow and then get on with your day.

Great video, as always! I thought this was about literal temperature and how it can increase anxiety. Or at least that seems to be the case for me. Is that common? Thanks.

Yes physical fluctuation in body temperature can be triggering - even consuming a hot drink can do it as the sensitised system has an exaggerated reaction to trigger cooling mechanisms. Unpleasant, but not serious.
