I said in another thread but it’s worth repeating. The seemingly disregard you have for the money in front of you so you can play the way you feel is best in the moment is awe inspiring. There is a reason you went from 1-3 to 100-200 in 3-4 years and nearly no one else can replicate this. Your play, discipline, and trust in your instincts is something I can only hope to achieve one day at small stakes.

I don't think GG money is the only reason he can do this. Those chips may be money but to play the game optimally you need to stop viewing them as money and see them as game pieces. If you can't do that, you likely need to work on your mental game or move to stakes that aren't life changing for you if you lose it all.

Anyone feel like a proud father when watching Mariano's vlogs? I started following and watching everything on this channel about 3 years ago while being bored out of my mind during the pandemic.
I liked this particular vlog the most, while also watching every other poker vlog out there, because of the drone shots and the music. The poker felt standard but good, I've mostly seen good poker being played here, and the content as a whole was chill and enjoyable.
Then the dude took it to another level. I've never seen or heard of such progress in such a short period of time. It's mind blowing, and I'm proud and happy for Mariano.
Well done bro, I'm super happy to see you succeed!

I’ve been watching since legit vlog #1. I remember him saying back then that he’d only been playing for about 4 months. I was astonished at how well developed his understanding of the game already was. I’d only been playing for about a year and a half myself.
We had a very similar style so I would frequently compare our plays. I learned a lot from those first few years. Somewhere along the line he implemented a super aggressive strategy that I don’t think applies to the lower stakes live games that I play. Now I watch more for entertainment and the occasional unique line that I want to try out if I find the right spot.
It’s fun to root for the guy and it’s been a crazy journey to watch. Part of me wishes I had taken a similar route of creating a vlog back then. I almost did. The space seems so over saturated now though.

@@mrburns805 definitely not over saturated. you should make a poker vlog channel if that’s something you’d enjoy. the thing i realized about poker content is if you’re a good creator and a fun guy everyone will watch you. people that watch poker can’t get enough and love bouncing around different content creators. i say go for it.

Hey Mariano, glorious stuff as always. A big request: your strategic VO is some of the best training material in the business. And it is by *far* the best free training material. The only problem is that when we see the other players' hands, there's no way we can really follow your logic, because it seems that the play you're making is either genius or catastrophically bad, depending on what your opponents hold.
Turns out the game is pretty damn easy if you can see the other players' cards.
So maybe you'll ask your editor to blur the other players' cards, and we can play along? It would help me so much as I try to learn from your thinking.
Whether you do it or not, thank you a lot for all you do for poker.

Your title makes no sense, one has straight flush and opponent has the nut flush? The straight flush would be the nut flush! The Nuts is a term representing the best possible hand , therefore terms like second nuts or nut flush or nut straight only make sense if it is truly the nuts! You could have the highest flush at table with a king high and the nuts would still be a ace high flush even if nobody has that hand, or say you had a ace high flush but the board contained two sixes and a king as highest card, then full house kings full of sixes would be the nuts! As I have always believed in my years of tournament play it is best hand possible not the leading hand!

Ya he owned him when he got lucky hitting the 9 on the turn and when he won the minimum with AA vs KK, wake up man

@@elio-7911 I mean he did trap him with the 99 and got max value…convince me otherwise

@@EntrepreneurDad what an amazing trap that was lol, the hand played itself nothing special there, any amateur would have played it the same, i’m in no way discrediting Art as he’s a solid player, but for u to say that he owned him it is nowhere close to it

@@elio-7911 you obviously have never played with Art. He definitely trapped him. The difference is between Art and Mariano is when Art loses he takes it on the chin with no expression but when Mariano loses or makes a bad play he cries and you can see it all over his face. Mariano couldn’t last in a game with Pearson, Keating or any other player that puts max pressure. I’ve played with both players and have stacked Mariano a number of times. Mariano is amateur at best

@@EntrepreneurDad man what does that has to do with anything we’re discussing, I’m not praising Mariano here nor discrediting Art, i’m just replying to ur original casual comment when there was nobody owning nobody and that’s all about it
