Marvelous horse… Wonderful connections… One of the greatest comebacks on the history of horseracing. I can’t even watch this without being choked up about it. 😢
Going through a rough patch right now. My husband died suddenly, recently. This story gives me hope and happiness. Hope to visit the farm one, close to where I live.🙂
nathan glass, totally true. Secretariat was like that also. He needed competition to be at his best. Sham was his greatest competition and Secretariat hated losing.
This part of the movie is pure fiction. In the real 1940 Santa Anita Handicap, once the field settled in, Seabiscuit was never further back than third and even that was only by half a length or so. You can watch the actual race on TH-cam.
@@sergeantmasson3669 Talking about his last run in the movie which you claim is so accurate. He never ran less than third in that race. So no, the movie isn't accurate at all.
So this isnt the real seabiscuit in this footage?? In this footage they were calling the horse "seabiscuit". So there was another horse in 2002 with the same name?

Not factual. He wasn't ever further back than 3rd George never stopped to help him..but Seabiscuit did set a fastest mile 1/4 at Santa Anita and 2nd fastest ever run in America. Watch the actual race on youtube
I love the movie, but this is totally fake. Seabiscuit ran at the lead or close to it the entire race. He never fell behind an had to come back. Look it up on youtube. The actual race is there.
Top 5 worst endings ever in my opinion. All this build up for the final race, and they slow it down right before the end, and do a bs slow motion scene with some mushy crap speech about how “we didn’t save him, he saved us”. 🤢 🤢

And I thought I was the only one. 😢
What a great horse. Always moved me when I saw the movie. He flew like the wind
Brings on the tears every time. Love that movie!
I cry like a baby every time!!🐎Idaho and Gary Stevens...class act.
Me too😢
Yup, I do too
🤣😂🤣, I thought I was the only one!! Amazing story and an amazing horse!!
Loved that movie, always get goose bumps when I watch the end. All great actors even Gary Steven's. Real good book too!
Gary himself made quite a comeback towards the end of his career! Booked me some huge winners on Beholder and Mucho Macho Man..♥️🙏👉🇺🇸
Im so glad i watched this! Brought a tear to my eye. Filmed at " The great race place" Santa Anita, the greatest movie set in history..
I cry again 😢😢😢❤
I never get tired of watching this 😊❤
One of the most memorable scenes i have ever seen...
Going through a rough patch right now. My husband died suddenly, recently. This story gives me hope and happiness. Hope to visit the farm one, close to where I live.🙂
beautiful video showing thorough breds doing what they do best win with ease
Real tear jerker with that music.
You don’t throw a whole life away just ‘cause he’s banged up a little.
For 40 years I been going to horse races and this first time I got to c y my father loved the sport so much
I wonder did George purposely back his horse up to be eye-to-eye with Seabiscuit to give him the encouragement like they did in the match race
Yes he did. It honestly makes the ending too the film that much more emotional ❤️
A class act of friendship!
No, he just finally had the better horse, one time.
nathan glass, totally true. Secretariat was like that also. He needed competition to be at his best. Sham was his greatest competition and Secretariat hated losing.

Just too freakin’ good. Great movie & an unbelievably horse
I just love this movie.
Movie name ??
George knew that he had no chance to win. He saw that he could help his friend, Red, and did it.
He just helped a friend who was in need.
One heck of a beautiful movie here to this very day
Just a great scene - Everything that is great about America !
That jockey, pretty cool to see him pull his horse back knowing he will not win.
Seabuscuit is my #1 Race Horse of all time. PERIOD!!
By far, one the most accurate horse movie ever filmed.
Except during the actual race he was running at the front the entire time...
@@sergeantmasson3669 He never ran less than 3rd. So no, not accurate at all.
@@goodshipkaraboudjan FALSE. Seabiscuit lost several races.

Top 10 movie of all time brilliant👋🏽👋🏽
Real race ; movie; fantastic excitement
I'm going to be a horse freak and say at 3:10 FLYING LEAD CHANGE!!!!
Good catch!
1:58,
I’d say this is a flying lead change.
Yup, saw that too...😁
I hope there's a original video of this last race of Seabiscuit
Funny that when you think about it Red ran Seabiscuit and Secretariat was Big Red.
degrees of separation...or maybe not
i still dont get how this footage from 1940 was so clear? crazy
they filmed it in 2002.
How could they film this in 2002 when the horse was living in the 1930's and 1940's??
they used different horses.
So this isnt the real seabiscuit in this footage?? In this footage they were calling the horse "seabiscuit". So there was another horse in 2002 with the same name?
this is a movie, a dramatic adaptation of the horse and its life. So no the horse is not also named Seabiscuit, its for the sake of telling the story
