Fungus is closer to an animal than a plant afaik. Also plants can perceive even if they aren't sentient (Which is a topic of it's own I think). So I'd say that should be a big factor and moral issue. That and the fact the infestation is of humans, as the Fungus was there first.

I would love to see them play Stellaris. I've just started playing it. But I think an ideal makeup would be Lewis, Duncan, Ben, Tom C, Pyrion, and a few others. One good thing is that Duncan wouldn't be able to science turtle, what with the mid and end game crises.
