    I love you man. Saved me a ton of headache from the get go. In the UK this wouldn't be worth the repairs. Vehicle is well over 20 years old. Time to scrap it.

    Round 2 on this video. Where do you recommend to purchase pistons bearings tensioners and pulleys from?

    Nice work:)
    Just wondering was it worth doing all this work instead of getting another engine for the car? Just curious

      All that labour $$$ ... should of got an used engine for way less money.
      I would understand if it was a classic car and have no used engine... but a yaris , they are everywhere.
      Video was good.

    Also got a Toyota Yaris 2011 and there is a misfire on Cylinder number 1, I tried switching the coils and changing the spark plug but there is still a misfire. How much am I looking at if the whole cylinder needs to be changed? Is it better to just buy a new car?

      New cars are very expensive, a Toyota is definitely worth fixing .

    So do you have to close up everything first to start it?? It won’t start unless everything is back in?

    So I only have misfires when starting on a cold start. I changed the spark plugs and still happens. But once I turn off the car and restart it it fires fine for the entire day. It’s not until it sits overnight that it misfires on the start up again.

    • @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790
      @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like a mixture that is too rich, Jeremy, I hope you did not clean your engine recently, moisture trapped in the plug tubes could also cause misfires.

    • @jeremypiper4309
      @jeremypiper4309 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 I'm thinking it has to do with the mixture being too rich also. I think on initial start up the car's computer uses a 'choke' and the 'choke' is too rich and causing misfires. but once I turn it off and start it back up its like it never happened. has to be the auto choke! but how do I fix that lol

      @@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 its also a 2018 Toyota Yaris IA and its in realllllly great condition. 100k miles but driven for uber and I owned the car since it had 0 miles. the engine is clean. don't think there's any moisture in there

    Gary: "hopefully it is just a bend valve or broken piston ring"
    Me: NO!!! If it is my car i would hopefully not have such an expensive problem!!!!😂😅😆😆
