Great Ranking. My personal ranking: 1.) The Omen OG (5 Stars) 2.) Damien: Omen 2 (5 Stars) 3.) The First Omen (4 Stars) 4.) The Omen Remake (3.5 Stars) 5.) The Final Conflict (2.5 Stars) 6.) Omen IV (2 Stars)
Regarding Omen 2, it's been of my favourite films since i saw it aged 7 in 1987. It's one of those that as a kid i watched at least weekly for years. The reason for Bill Atherton being killed he because involved in the Indian land deal that Paul was trying to arrange Damien Damiens' future, he was mentioned in the third at being away dealing with that. Passarian was killed of course for starting to discover that farmers not selling land were being killed, and Paul obviously didn't want Richard to discover that.
Lance Henriksen was meant to have had more scenes but they were cut out. He and Robert Foxworth were intended to return for Omen 3 with Jonathan Scott Taylor again, and i really wish they had gone with that idea. They could have done the Sam Neil story later.
Nice list, I'm one of "those people" who don't consider The First Omen part of the franchise. So my list is limited...lol 1) Damien Omen 2 2) The Original Omen 3) Omen (2006) 4) Omen 3 Final Conflict 961) That Omen 4 Abomination First Omen is not canon, name only something film that changed basic cannon, making it some kind of clone thing that I didn't care for even if it didn't have Omen in the title.
The Omen is classic. Lately, on my days off.. I been digging through all my horror movies. I love how the original film kind of pulls you into the story. and then you come to the realization that the movie has aged extremely well. They just don’t make horror movies like they use to. 6. The Omen (2006) 5. Omen IV: The Awakening 4. Damien: Omen II 3. Omen III: The Final Conflict 2. The First Omen 1. The Omen
Nice Rankings I like controversial opinions sometimes Mine Are: 6. Omen 4 The Awakening 5. Omen III The Final Conflict 4. The First Omen 3. The Omen Original 2. The Omen '06 1. Damien Omen II
My rankings are pretty simple lol. The original, then Damien Omen 2, Final conflict, The first Omen. Haven't watched the other one you mentioned. I was surprised to enjoy The First Omen and it was the lead actress, she was great. But yes breaking the lore was annoying.
We saw the original movie when it first came out, and I immediately lost my heart to "the photographer", who was the great David Warner: you've seen him "Titanic", if you've watched that one, but I especially love him in "Time After Time", which is a good movie. The priest in the earlier section who has the talk with Gregory Peck was Patrick Troughton, aka Doctor Who number Two.
When i first saw The First Omen it was my least favourite, on a recent re-watch i warmed to it a bit. Same as you changing the mother being a jackal bothered me. Then i realised Father Brennan is protecting her, he didn't want Robert going there, and maybe the church following, and the jackal was 'involved' in a few ways.
I love Damien Omen 2 because it has the same atmosphere as the original, and I LOVED that kid who played Damien. So yeah total opposite to you, but that's ok.
Richard Donner man, he went on to create the best Superman of all time and wasn't he involved in 1st season of Walking Dead? The guy knows how to do atmosphere.
My Ranking 1 The Omen (1976) 2. Damien: Omen 2 3. The First Omen 4. The Final Conflict 5. The Omen 2006 6. Omen IV I think the tv show Damien was pretty good, on the same level as the first Omen.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the first omen messed with the lore and didn't feel like the Omen

holy smokes, I thought me having the final conflict up high was a hot take but you might have beat me with your Omen 4 placement lol cool ranking!
Thanks. Lol i know i'm in the minority for loving that one.
The Omen remake wasn’t terrible. It just didn’t come close to touching the first.
Not terrible but pretty pointless
@@themovieranker True dat. As much as I love Mia Farrow, she didn’t hold a candle to Billie Whitelaw as the Nanny from Hell.
There's six of them?!
haha yup
