With context, this song becomes much more interesting.
It sounds as you fight the final boss, in a quickly crumbling ship that was once the symbol of the Golden Age, its captain and crew as forsaken as the ship.
The horror is destroyed, yes... But, nothing has been truly achieved, all the heroic sacrifices in this story, this last hurrah of Iberia's legendary captain... they have only served to hold back the tide for a while longer. The Golden Age will not return, even if the seaborne could somehow be stopped, Iberia's scars will never fully heal.
This song, so defiant and full of hope, is sung by fools on their sinking ship. Stultifera Navis.
Gladiia will get a skin in the Under Tides rerun, in that skin the desc says that she'll lead her troops back to Aegir, wether that troop only consists of only Abyssal Hunters, or Aegirians or something else, idk. If you look at the background of the skin, you can see another ship thats quite familiar. And it cannot be the same Stultifera Navis, bcos Im pretty sure Gladiia wasnt there during the 1st construction of the ship, and the original's ship purpose was scewed by Iberian nobles to be a luxury ship instead. In the SN event they probably took every information they could before the ship went down, so it wouldnt surprise me if they rebuilt it again, but this time with proper protection against the seaborn.
There is also the added irony the the sea spawn are evolving into their own golden age in a way.
@@prometheus1815 well the latest pv about "Terra" Aegirian hijack the comms that tells all land people that seaborn will begin an invasion, so maybe Aegir and Iberia get together again once more to fight the seaborn ?
I think it is more the final spiteful story of the fleet given to spite fate and chance. A prophecy of defiance against a world that seems to hate them. Not so much them being fools but saying in the end the last laugh will be ours for we will bring our golden age again.
To be honest it could be either. But I like the idea of someone singing this song straight in the face of the personification of fate with a smile.
Edit and now I cannot stop imagining the captain singing this right to the Seaborn. Fully believing that in the end the people of Iberia WILL make the golden age return.

Just like play sv-10 first time(+many loses) try brute-forcing with no guide and not know any enemies 's mechanic. 4-phase morphing is f*cking nightmare. also many type of mobs , the little standing tiles and that dirty floor thingy really suitable for the music's vibe.

I feel like most of Terra will appreciate it if the golden age of Iberia doesn't come back...getting navally dominated by the only nation with a navy is not fun.
Man can Iberia use all the help it can get right now though.
Well not really, since iberia is the only country in terra highly exposed to the sea. So iberia cant really invade other countries using ships
add to that, I think most of Iberia navy will end up combat Seaborn for century anyway. having border connect to the sea in Terra seem like a nightmare.
