No joke! I literally just opened up TH-cam and said, out loud in Ian's voice, "Welcome to HorrorBabble", then seconds later, I got the notification for this. 🤯
I don't know how many hours I've spent listening to your masterful narrations while taking a walk or enjoying a cup of coffee in the evening. But I felt it was past time for a tip. Greatly looking forward to fantasybabble as well!
I can't properly express my gratitude for the comfort you've brought me in the darkest times. Thank you, Horror Babble Team, for all that you do. -homeless Midwestern US stranger
E.F. Benson wrote some wicked tales. "Negotium Perambulans" scared the daylights out of me as a teenager! At 60 years old, I, still, find it pretty flipping unsettling.
What a great tale! It is a really well-written story. It is a good and sad tale. I love how Ian says, "nonsense". The picture for this video is awesome. Thanks! Oh, it is also great to see the subscriber numbers climbing every week!
The way that a lot of machines mentioned in 40k novels have a specific dent in them where the Rite of Percussive Motivation or whatever was performed. They actually smack the machines occasionally.
I really like this story, and I thought your performance was mesmerizing, Ian. I plan on doing a review of this tale on my channel. Would you mind if I provided a link to this video so my miniscule audience may also enjoy your reading? Thank you.
Would you ever considered reading any of R H Benson's ghost stories ? From what I understand his stories have more of religious bent than his brothers works. Though this can be explained by the fact he was first a C of E priest then a Catholic one. I did read a comment that his works tend to bring forth the idea wither ghost are real or pyschological phenomomen? One review I saw said that R H writting is drier than either of his brothers. Even if that is true I still think Ian you would bring it alive

I love that kind of serendipity❤
Talk about timing!
I'm just as spooked. I was reading this very same story earlier today.
...this seems to become a ghostly reality... the end of TH-cam as we know it.
Steady Joe.
The number one reason I open up TH-cam is HORROR

Always terrific! Thanks Ian!
Fabulously narrated!
One of the best channels on TH-cam.
Nothing beats listening to Ian’s amazing voice on the way to work on the tram.
Greetings from a fellow Boltonian!
Great to hear from you, Chris! Funnily enough, I’ve a recording due next week that involves the tram into Manchester…
@@HorrorBabble I’ll be listening to a tram-to-Manchester horror story…whilst on the tram to Manchester.
Should I be concerned? Haha!
@@chrishill7797 Yes, very.
@@chrishill7797 Oh dear...
@@HorrorBabble tell me it’s not the Ashton to Salford Line!

posted 1 minute ago, the algo knows what I like.
Beautiful yet terrifying
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to discover a story involving a "tasty ghost".
Excellent story and narration as always. Thank you sir.
0:13 "a bit of E.F. Benson"? Which bit? A hand? The heart? Maybe the brain?
Brilliant.Thank you.
I like this story. Thank you!

Warren is not dead. But he finally got to see the last season of _Game of Thrones_ and he is inconsolable.
HA, HA, HA, HA, HA!
You've brightened my day.
I haven't watched that series, and thus remains dead.
Classic!

One of two stories by E.F. Benson Psalm 91. The other being Negotium Perambulans .
What a terribly sad story.
