Whatever respect I had for Arthur's ideas, it's completely gone. He let Haris Rauf play 9 matches, sat out Wasim Jr for the first 5 matches, left Abrar in reserves. But giving an incompetent bowler this many chances to become the most expensive run leaker in the history of World Cups tells me that he couldn't even be trusted to make a simple decision. He let Babar make the same mistakes - be it bowling change, fielding set up, shot selection, choosing playing XI. If Arthur takes Rauf to Australia to take part in any format, that should further strengthen the case for his sacking. Pakistan never needed to have a coach or manager to play in their own Pakistan Way. More often than not the reason behind their losses historically has been the playing XI.
Rauf is a very competent bowler in Australian conditions.

@zindabyne oh yeah my bad, forgot the Test series coming up, the last time pakistan went there they played Naseem and Musa who had zilch experience resulting in an embarrassing display. Thing is Pakistan (in internationals) hasnt cultivated anyone on the bench who is even half as good as Naseem and Shaheen with the new ball, it's something I raised concerns about few months ago and it become obviously blatant when Naseem got injured, Abbas has been shown the door and too many half chances for the new comers.

Hi Guys, Good to see your show. just a question to wasim Sir if Pakistan board really wants foreign coach why don’t you get Brendon Macullum and give him top 100 players list from domestic and international circuit and tell him that Pakistan needs two international teams ready to play any day against any team in the world. I am just saying this if Pakistan spending way more money on foreign coach why don’t just spend little more and see the result. I think there would be one problem in that scenario you will have to give all the cricket related control to Coach which Pakistan board will not do and next champions trophy again you guys will be asking to each other what’s the way forward. I mean I don’t mind seeing Pakistan losing against India but at least make it interesting for fans from both countries.

All throughout the tournament he has been extremely arrogant to say the least. A job of a coach definitely isn't to give preposterous statements like what he gave. It was absolutely childish. Even when he was a coach for the Sri Lankan team he acted arrogant. i think pcb has a culture of promoting any of the players/coaches who somehow at some point have defeated india, like mickey arthur in ct17, babar azam in t20 wc21; they think that these combinations will work all the time, pakistan has a lot more potential, pcb's vision is very short sighted.
