Rinku plays at no 4 for UP in ODIs, and he has the best avg in Indian National history 70. He plays for KKR at 6 bcoz he was a newcomer and there were already more experienced batters. Kudos to him that he developed himself accordingly and he can play that role for India in T20, but in future ODI he should play 4.
Virat, Rohit, Shami, Jadeja and Bumrah have played very few matches in the last few years in ODIs. We groomed Gill, Siraj and Shreyas with the experienced leadership of Shikhar Dhawan and sometimes under Hardik and Bumrah even KL captained the Indian side for some series against A sides of some renowned teams.
Dravid groomed Gill, Pant, Iyer when they were part of under 19.

Apart from system, a big credit goes to Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman. Just prior to this, Rahul worked as a head of NCA, head coach of under 19 and India A team. As it was a recent assignment, he knew the players better than anyone else. This is the main reason behind bench strength. In last 2 years, the management made so many experiments to arrive at the perfect combination.

Without Pandya both Shardul and Ashwin cant be picked and Krishna we are hoping does not get to play.Hopefully India does not have an injuries now but India also need to increase its bench strength.Try out more all rounders,create more fast bowlers with pace swing and seam and create a potential backup for Kuldeep incase he is injured
some 2 decades ago I have played cricket with some youngsters from pakistan and from india. Pure natural talent wise - what I saw was amazing from the guys from Pakistan. But I suppose the system needs to support development. When that happens, the team will regain their place in world cricket.

frankly you have the bench strength in seam bowling. Your batsmen need better footwork against seam bowlers and need to play with a straight bat pointing down and facing the bowler more often than not.

One may compare the no. of changes done at an administrative level in PCB with those done in the BCCI.
One may also compare the no. of potshots former cricketers take at each other and the current cricketers after failures on the pitch. I don't think there's a single Pakistani cricketer, former or current, jiske baare mein kisi dusre Pakistani cricketer ne publically kuch bura na kaha ho. Everyone blames people at the helm, team performs badly in one tournament, wholesale changes happen, the person kicked out gets ready at the first opportunity to talk crap about his replacement, and the cycle continues.
