Legit video! Love TCG player sight for singles, even when I have trouble with a purchase they always fix it and hook it up. I recently bought evolutions reverse holo and holo charizards and received two reverse holos by accident! They sent me the holo and I got to keep both reverse holos, was pretty pumped.

I like videos like this. I buy a lot on TCG player but the problem I find is if I find a card at a good price from a reputable seller, the other cards I want seem to be overpriced to me.

I honestly don't worry about them being reputable, bc if they don't send the correct quality or quantity, they must fix it or tcgplayer won't pay them , I trust tcgplayer to handle it for me if the seller don't deliver what they listed.
The sellers always do me right and if they don't tcgplayer customer support always got my back.
For example
I had got an empty envelope the other day and I got a full refund , I got the wrong quality the other day and I got to keep the wrong card and got the correct card sent to me for no cost

Just make sure you check each order as they come , for quality and quantity, and contact seller immediately if there is an issue

Very cool video. Just subbed. I started collecting in November of 2020 and I am so hooked as the artwork is amazing. I have made a couple buys on TCGPlayer and I have been happy using them. Only had one problem with one seller cards were NM but received played and bent but he made it right.
As long as they make it right at the end of the day. That’s fine by me !

Maybe he could add to this but it’ll be a bit more expensive if you use direct, but it’s totally worth the few extra change on the singles. TCGdirect ensure the cards are by their standards.

Nice video, very extensive info. Maybe it's good to add you can select individual resellers if you found one that has a card that's already in your kart. That way you can get the free shipping easily.

One thing I've learned is also don't be afraid of shipping buying in bulk. If someone who has $.99 shipping has 10 cards you want that's only $.10 per card. If they're $.50 below the free shipping that saves you $4 for example

I'm not sure what the algorithm is for ratings but I've recently had to give negative reviews (because improperly shipped items and bad communication) and they haven't show up for those sellers yet. One of them even laughed off my complaint.

I have been using TCGPlayer to see what pricing is looking like for the collecting aspect, but once I start getting into collecting again I would much rather open packs and have that excitement of pulling the card then to just go and buy a single card.

I wish near mint also included visually centered and without a clear visible printer line(s). Pack fresh is the same to me -- even pack fresh cards can disappointing. If you buy the cards to play the game it doesn't matter. If you buy the cards to toss into a binder for memories, it probably doesn't matter either. If you buy cards as a serious collector -- IT MATTERS.
Todays printing standard in English cards has definitely deteriorated. I really wish they upheld the same level of quality as what they print in Japanese
Idk man I usually agree with you . But everyone has to start somewhere I mean take a person like me for example. Buy huge rip packs huge get nice pulls know what I’m doing and talking about . Probably would give a cheaper price , yet I would be new on the site if I chose to start to sell . If you recommend to never buy from a new seller how will they ever prosper ? But if you rather give your money to a big box established store that’s your obligation,I just beg to differ . That being said i appreciate the video I understand where your coming from but if the person has a picture of the item in detail with a name a date in some paper I’d go for it . This video did teach me something very valuable thank once again for the knowledge greatly appreciated great video , though I’ve never bought from the site I may have to especially sealed boxes it seems like a great deal ! Remember I’m coming with these thoughts to protect the buyer. I agree that it is tougher for newer sellers to get going but I have been burned by too many small accounts and don’t want my viewers to fall to that either.
Just subscribed but is that your experience with people with lower ratings? Or have you just never tried them out. Because I wonder with lower ratings they would care more about their actual rating so they wouldn't want to screw people over. But maybe I'm wrong didn't know if you ever tried buying from them
I have been burned by new/inexperienced sellers a few times. Not all new sellers are bad, but I have rarely have issues buying from the bigger sellers. And if I do, they refund very quickly.
I snagged a Neo Genesis Typhlosion for $60 the other day because the new seller didn’t realize that all the ones going for that price were Japanese 😈

Great video. As someone who buys cards all the time on TCG player this is amazing but it did sting to hear you say skip over sellers with no reviews and little to no sales. That is understandable advice to buyers but as new seller on TCGplayer that doesn't have any reviews and very little sales, can you offer any advice of things I can do to be taken more seriously? I think this topic would even make a wonderful video topic and help out those of us who are who aspire to start an online business selling pokemon cards!

Hey love the channel, but aren’t the 0% sellers new sellers? Wouldn’t that be doing those people a disservice just by not buying from them because they have 0% or is the percentage number different for new sellers?
It could be yes. But I have also known people to get poor ratings and start new accounts and such. Also, it’s one of those things that is just better safe than sorry. Reputation matters, doesn’t mean new sellers are bad. Just why take any risk at all…

@@mrwright788 definitely open a sellers account if wanna get into the game. It really is a safer option for both buying and selling cards than other sites like eBay imo
