Amazing masha Allah! For 6:28 and 6:55, whilst I understand the literal meaning seems to be 'guest', am I wrong in thinking it seems to make more sense as 'host' instead? Shukran for all of your wonderful work.

I generally try to translate as literally as possible for reasons like this, because it often leads to the mistake I see many translators make of projecting their own assumptions about what the poet might have meant, and the reasons they might have chosen or avoided a particular word. It's both safer and more authentic to a text to lean towards translating literally wherever possible.

@@HashimAziz1 Shukran, I respect (and generally much prefer!) this approach and appreciate that this is your stance.

@@nafdikyaaqsa If you don't mind me asking, how did you find the channel? I've noticed more comments than usual in the past few days and I'm wondering if the channel was linked to from anywhere.

@@HashimAziz1 I don't mind at all - I'd been listening to the Burda recitations of Shaykh al Atwani and your clip with the English translation was recommended, leading me to check out your other uploads.

The tariqa featured in the video is Hamidiyya-Shadhiliya (الحامدية الشاذلية), it has branches in many Egyptian cities and in Cairo too, I don't know anything else about them though.
