Kevin's laugh never ceases to make me laugh every time Mitch and Scott say something like this. "My parents lied to me." "You know who else was born on Christmas? Jesus Christ" "Look at this nose and hair honey". "I knew it." Kevin and Me: 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Dear Scott - your parents may not be lying. My family has sworn up down and sideways that we were from Germany. DNA came back Scandinavia like yours. A little research (I'm a retired librarian) found that Vikings were very active (!) in the area of Germany 8th to 11th century.
I mean, as a Swede, it makes total sense that they culturally and from memory might be quite German while still having a lot of nordic genes. It's quite close to each other so it makes sense that with it connecting by sea that there is quite a bit of crossover.
I agree. My mom always thought her ancestors might have been Scandinavian as my grandmother's maiden name was Anderson and my mom did a DNA test and it said part of her DNA was Norway and also Sweden and Denmark and some of my grandmothers Anderson relatives did DNA tests and the same Norway, Sweden and Denmark locations. I did a DNA test and didn't show any Scandinavian regions on my location results so just because it doesn't say a region on your DNA results, it, doesn't necessarily mean your ancestors may not have come from that region.
This was hilarious 😂 Kirstin is stunning as always Mitch- Look at this nose and hair, honey Scott’s reaction when he found out that he is more Scandinavian than Germany is so funny 😂 Matt and Kevin claiming their roots from their families is so heartwarming ❤️ Merry Christmas 🎄
This was awesome and so much fun. Pentatonix members are so amazing. All of them now have valuable family information that they did not have beforehand. Thanks for having Pentatonix on. I enjoyed it a great deal.
I love them so much, they're always so funny and wholesome. I think my favorite parts were all the Scott and Kevin moments in here, their friendship is adorable.💕
Ooh, this is exciting... And Scotts surprise, as someone from that region... I can see it... Now they HAVE to come here, they've never been. WHat a fun little video!
This was so much fun to watch, I wanted it to go on forever. This was just so interesting, I love learning about people's ancestry and random family trivia. I mean, Scott's reaction over finding out about his mostly Scandinavian descent speaks for itself
I would be so up for a full hour of them digging deeper for sure. Especially since they have such different family history. I feel like they are the perfect group to dig deeper with!
I love these people so much. What I enjoy most is that they enjoy 1 another so much and the love and respect they have for each other Is real and honest. And Kevin has the BEST laugh in the world. THE BEST. Happy Hanukkah
For the past few years I've been thinking that I should try and put PTX in for an episode of something ancestry related, so this was an awesome surprise.
This video is such a gem! I was so surprised when I found out I was almost literally half German, my Dad's surname Tischler and my mom's side, Bonneau, French. My last name is most definitely not ME, honey! I have a friend that has a German surname and it's Wehling and always mispronounced along with my Tischler name and her face was as shocked as Scott's was to find out she's super English and thought she was basically 100% German. PTX never disappoints. So kind and loving towards each other. Beautiful!
😃LOVE IT!! SO MUCH FUN! learned even MORE about them!! Claiming Kirstie and her Mexican roots!. Very surprised about Scott's ancestry. And Matt's Nigerian ancestry as well! So many AMAZING facts!!👏😄
This was so interesting and fun and made me really look forward to my Ancestry results when I get my kit. The fact that such personal stories and not just percentages were part of this really was special. It even helped me get over the talking twig hosting eventually. Also shoutout to PTX for agreeing to do an interview that required them to send in a sample of their DNA in advance.
You can find out so many fun facts doing your family history. I found out that my daughter and her daughter are also way distant cousins through my granddaughter's paternal side. If you go back far enough, there were two brothers that were ancestors of my daughter and granddaughter. So much fun learning all this information. Well, to me it's fun!
Scott trying to take the trophy thinking that he had "won" the show. THIS IS MY TROPHY!! Kevin is like "BOI IF U DON'T" Me: Lord have mercy on him, seriously. 🤣🤣🤣
Well, we don't know, maybe it's deliberate. With the blacks, if we go back too far in the past, we take the risk of ending up in a part of the history that does not necessarily give a smile. Maybe that's what happened and they didn't want to bring this topic up. And this is clearly not a place, time, to talk about this kind of serious thing. I guess here.
The belief is that the oldest German families, or the "true" Germans originally came from the north. They believed "Hyperborea", or their mythical ancestral homeland was in the very far north, and they came into Scandinavia and then settled Germany. Many Germans have Scandinavian blood.
Pentatonix is ready to put their family knowledge to the test! Who do you think will take home the trophy?
When Pentatonix can't get through 12 minutes without breaking into song. I love it!
Scott: Do you know who else was born on christmas?
Kevin: who?
Scott: Jesus Christ, which is crazy
I laughed so much lol
Same that was the funniest thing that I have ever heard in my life. lol
Scott's reaction to finding out he has more Scandinavian ancestry than German is hilarious
I was cracking up at that, as well. lol

Absolutely hilarious cant stop laughing
@@gabrielleclennon6589 Well it's not just that. He is freakishly tall and very blonde. how is it not obvious?
