I guess if you read the instructions you're supposed to open the tank drain valve at the bottom of the tank before running the compressor for the 1st 1/2 hour to properly break in the compressor rings and cylinder without a pressurized load. Oh well, I guess you can do a video one day if it fails before the implied manufacturers warranty or extended Harbor Freight warranty. But if you bought the warranty who cares, right? Smoke em' if you got em'...

Your supposed to turn the red middle valve to the left untill it reaches 200 psi. Then turn it right to the presure you want to come out like 90 psi

Run far away from this compressor. I bought one on March 10th 2024 On July 5th it failed to build air. Just outside the Warranty. This thing didn’t have three hours on it. NEVER ran an air tool. And to fix it? Harbor Freight says it’ll be 10 to 12 WEEKS to get the Valve plate which failed. And it’ll STILL probably be junk. And they don’t KNOW THE PRICE. This thing has been out for at LEAST 4-5 years, yet NOBODY has Parts for it?? So until almost Halloween, I’m compressorless. Just a big fat Paperweight. That I can’t even blow the dust off of.

UPDATE. After spending a half an hour with a very pleasant lady at Harbor Freight’s Support number the ineptitude shown was EPIC. She couldn’t even find a damned PART NuMBER. Finally she agreed the I SHOULD try and find the part elsewhere. I say THEY should source the part. I will NEVER cast a shadow on a Harbor Freight’s door again. This is DISGUSTING.
