- Today for #WolfeRidgeWednesday we take you on a tour of the Wolfe Ridge 17 RS log splitter. This splitter is one of our entry level machines, but still built to withstand every day firewood production
The 17 RS comes standard with:
Honda GX270 9HP gas engine - recoil pull start
16GPM hydraulic pump
17 ton splitting force
24 inch stroke
6 second cycle time
8 inch beam
12 inch AR400 main wedge
4 way wedge included
*NOTE 4 way wedge height is mechanically adjusted and bolted into place
2 inch hitch ball coupler with removable drawbar
Front leveling jack and rear drop leg
The 17 RS includes EITHER OR:
* Auto cycle valve
* Log lift with 400lb capacity

You should take that splitter over to in the wood yard and do a side by side comparison and splitting with Chris’s Eastonmade ultra

Great video! Someday I hope to buy one of the RS machines. I gotta believe that 270 literally sips gas. Hopefully the University I work for here in Michigan doesn't close down like the rumors are leading possibly towards 😢.

Great job on your videos Bob as always you’re very informative. Wolfridge sure makes a rocksolid splitter. I finally got a video posted of the 17 VSC You’ll have to check that out I am not near as good with making videos as you are. Lol

Does the boss man get out of the office with you doing the wood splitting and videos? I think he needs more splitter therapy time. I know I do. I get severe withdrawal symptoms when on the road for my trucking job.
Nice video but this machine didn't even break a sweat on this small stuff . The 17 RS is capable of so much more than making bundle wood .

What brand of valves?
We use Prince valves, Made in USA and best support with hydraulic shops all over the country.
With the auto cycle is it possible to also special order the log lift ???
No sorry! All the other machines we offer can get those options together. This is meant to be a budget machine, so options are limited. Thanks!
