    I inherited a Dyson, and thought it was horrible at getting all our dog hair up and awkward to use until I figured out how to use it! The right attachment for the job is 1000% essential, and Dyson will give you a video call walk through of every part and what it's for when you get your vacuum.

    One tip was shown years ago: put a straw on vacuum end, cover rest of area with 🖐 to seal suction. Can get into even smaller awkward spots.

    I have 2 KIRBY vacuums, both are 20-25 years old and they both clean so well! very reliable machines. KIRBY vacuum cleaners have a wide variety of attachments and I feel like the KIRBY vacuum is one of the most functional vacuum cleaners ive ver used. they do so many jobs and they last for decades. I love my KIRBY vacuums and I couldn't imagine cleaning my house without one around 😁

    My favourite tool is the crevice tool and I use it every week. Followed closely by the upholstery brush which I use just as much.
    I recently gave my cordless Dyson to my daughter and went back to my corded Dyson as it has much better suction obviously.
    It is older though, and I do look after it.
    Thanks for going through the accessories, I love the look of the pet hair tool.

    Still no love for that central vac. Lol Your content is fantastic! I have had a cleaning business for nearly 20 years. Would love to see you use your central vac in a video. I still think central vacs are the best way to clean your house but that's just my humble opinion. The most important thing when buying a vacuum is buy quality and maintain it. Show that central vac some love. I promise it will outperform any Dyson product. If it doesn't, we need to update your main unit.

    I live in Southern California and on any given day there is probably 10 pounds of dust on the walls, carpet, books, and all the surfaces. I have multiple tools to wage this ongoing campaign and recently bought a new vacuum. I have been using a damp cloth to remove the dust as well as dust grabbing cloths on a mop system that utilizes pads to get the walls and ceiling. When I come to the computer early in the morning when the light is at a low angle every. single. dust mote. is waving its tiny hands to greet me. I will be delighted to try out my dust attachment particularly on my computer. thanks

    I am an attachment user. I use the crevice tool on my loveseat that has back cushions that don't come off (ugh WHY?? and why did I not notice that when I was buying it??? LOL) and I use the tangle free turbine tool on the stairs in addition to my furniture. I also use the hard floor attachment for my wood laminate floors before I mop them. Those are the attachments I use most. Thanks for this it was very informative and helpful!

    I have a couple Sharks. One small hand held and the other is a plug in. I made a mistake of buying that Flex one too soon. That back beater bar I hate with a passion! The attachment for the plug in model has kind of a turbine(?). It’s great for picking up dog hairs. I think it’s a UV440. It works great but can be a pita dragging it out and plugging it in. I’ve been looking for a quick easy to remove like the Dyson cordless that is rechargeable but not as expensive. Kinda checking out that new Wand model from Shark.

    Question: many or probably even all people, who have sink attached under kitchen countertop( similar to yours) , experience problem with dripping water from wet hands on countertop near the faucet, especially if you use water often. Water just sits on the countertop and it creates stains. I looked online for something to prevent this, could not find.

    I have a Miele, the kind with a long hose and a caddy that you pull behind. Thank you for this video, because I've not used the extra tools due to not understanding what they were for! Which ones do I use on drapes/blinds/shades? I think the soft brush is probably good, but maybe adjusting the suction to a lighter level?

    • @gammondog
      @gammondog ปีที่แล้ว

      Drapes and shades (soft surfaces) use the upholstery nozzle. Blinds (hard surface) use the brush nozzle so that it will not scratch. You will need to dial down the power to avoid sucking up the drapes. Same for the brush but not as low. I love my Miele canister vacuum.

After running sweeper over the same areas multiple times, I still have to pic stuff caught in the fibers off. I'm about to toss this rug unless you have a solution for me! 🙏 Thanks!

    I’ve been struggling to find a tool that will reach in between the car seats and the center console. The regular Dyson crevice tool isn’t long enough. I’ll have to look into the awkward gap tool as it looks longer than what comes with the Dyson cordless I have.

      There are dryer vent cleaning attachments that fit Dyson but have a longer, more flexible hose. Be careful to get one that fits your exact model...they are not all the same...but I like mine a lot, and it was cheap. I can get further down floor vents and in between car seats.
