Back in 2009 when I started to listen to Kpop on purpose, this had just came out and it was awesome. It was fun watching the other artists trying to imitate the dance (it came out months apart from Suju's Sorry Sorry and SNSD's Gee, all with fun choreos to play around with in events). I like that it's a sensual MV, but with them in power. It's too easy to see the male gaze that influences girl groups' MVs in Kpop (and everywhere else, of course), but this one had a different narrative, I think. I don't follow BEG closely but them still being together to this day is incredibly impressive. Girl groups do not last in Kpop, and somehow, they have. Definitely a 2nd gen group (they debuted in 2006).
Even the members' solo are really different. Check it out someday... Narsha - Bbi Ri Bba Bba / Mamma Mia Gain - Paradise Lost / Bloom JeA - Dear Rude Miryo - Dirty / Rock Paper Scissors Since Miryo is your bias, there are some lives you could check, Her freestyle in the video "Miryo Freestyle Rap on KJE Chocolate", Her performance with Narsha singing Invitation Her performance of This is Miryo Just to know more about them, cuz there are so many things about them and only reactions aren't enough to know. BEG is really something else, they were the first idols to talk about plastic chirurgy. Back then, most of the idols always said never did it, it was just they lose some weight, or just did the plastic in eyes (What is very usual). But BEG's members always talked about it. Miryo even said how people would search in the internet if she left the group every comeback, cuz they couldn't recognize her. LoL There is a parody called "Plastic Face" where they literally sing "fuck the old pictures" because they're gorgeous now HAHAHA.
Ah yes, the most iconic song from Brown Eyed Girls. It's been covered countless times, but imo none of the covers sound as good as the original (the remixing in particular). The so-called "arrogant dance" that became super popular, you'd see idols casually dancing it to each other backstage, anyone who's anyone knew this dance. And of course, the genius behind the choreography is none other than Bae Yoon Jung herself. JeA is pronounced more like "jay-ah" I think? Also, that's Narsha with the one-eye hair lol. I can't really blame you for not recognising her though because she like always has a different hairstyle in every MV LOL Oh and if you want to see shameless Ga In, check out her solo songs, any one of them will do LOL ("Bloom" was her solo debut I think?) Also at 7:49 I think that's Ga In? I couldn't tell for many years, since she doesn't have that hairstyle in any other part of the MV, but since she does that dance break in live performances I'm guessing it's her XD This song and MV definitely pushed the envelope of social standards, and I would say there were two reasons it worked out: 1) Brown Eyed Girls being from a small label, Nega Network, and 2) JeA, Narsha, and Miryo being already in their late 20s at this time, so they didn't necessarily have to fit the same "idol" image as, say, SNSD's "Gee" and "Genie". Still, it marked a drastic change in their musical style (I suggest "How Come" or "L.O.V.E." to get a taste of those), and they were even worried it would flop when they first heard the song. Of course, that's not what happened lol It's such an iconic song that even every live stage you can find on TH-cam is just iconic. In particular, the stage where they're all wearing pink is quite good, and what's great is how they used props for them too, that was definitely not a common thing. Also, Ga In usually does a different dance in the dance break compared to the MV. I believe as a way of censoring it. Speaking of censorship, Narsha has a small star tattoo on her right wrist that is occasionally visible in the MV, and may have been the first female idol - if not, idol in general - to have a plainly visible tattoo. Though in some performances she wears a skin-coloured patch on her wrist to censor it, too lol. No, Brown Eyed Girls, Super Junior, and TVXQ all count as 2nd-gen groups still. The 1st-gen groups are all from like 1999 or 2000 or such. Oh speaking of recipes, Brown Eyed Girls has a song called "Recipe" from their Black Box album (which includes "Kill Bill"), no MV on it, but thought that was funny lol

Gain's debut was Irreversible, Bloom was a comeback.
About 7:49 someone once said it was Bae Yoon Jung herself, but I'm not sure....
